@Sweaty Games Pepega I honestly have no idea what might have happened there but should it happen to you again I would recommend reinstalling the mod as it should be ok with existing saves.

Hello, I installed this mod recently, and started a new campaign. Afaik, it was working for the start of the campaign, but perhaps reloading a save or some such disabled it... sort of.

Mountains for example are still listed as suitable on the campaign map... but selecting a mountainous region will show the unpleasant penalties in the lower tooltip... And now I'm noticing longer turn timers for building/upgrading buildings, so presumably all the penalties are in place. Wondering if I did a no-no or what happened.

ah! and if it were to be adjusted by the mod, it might make the woodelf areas 'suitable'.. which wouldn't be koshur! I sees!

@Jeslis Hello, there.

If I am not mistaken, Gaean Vale is a different climate (Magical Forest). It uses different climate suitability by default and yes, the Magical Forest climate is not affected by this mod as those are normally occupied by Wood Elves and they hate High Elves, imagine what would they do to Darks Elves.

So in conclusion, yes it is intended, not a bug.

Hello Thorbasn,

Just playing through a Malekith campaign and was at Gaean Vale (Avelorn Starting Province Capitol) and it's showing as Unsuitable climate. ALL other settlements and province capitols on Ulthuan are correctly showing as Suitable.

Is this intended or a bug?

@Nozgame I did try all the mods you listed separarely and all on with my mod and the issue never showed up. I am sorry I am not able to solve this for you and it makes me sad as I have absolutely no idea what could have caused it. Should you ever find yourself using one of my mods and encounter another issue please do let me know as I try to make them all work the best they can.

Out of these there's only three that seem to change Campaign related stuff: Mixu's Unlocker, Community Bug Fix and Dark Elf Stances. The latter is most likely fine since I installed it after this mod.
Oh and I'm playing as Morathi (Cult of Pleasure) on the Vortex campaign.

Nah no mods that change climate stuff afaik. I got the community bug fix mod installed, but I doubt this is what's causing the issue. I've got a few mods that add units for the Dark Elves, I'll check if they mention anything about climate but again, I doubt that's it either. But at least I managed to fully uninstall it by resetting my load order in the mod manager so if I can't make it work at least my save isn't fucked anymore. I'll let you know if I manage to find the issue.

@Nozgame That is indeed a very weird problem. Are you sure you do not have any other mods that change something with climate active? I do not see how it is possible that you can have both negative effect in the desert at once. I will check it later today after I finish my work and see if I can replicate it.

It is possible that there was soem sort of a bug regarding using the mod on already started campaign but it seems unlikely to me. I do recommend using mods with a new campaign tho.

I'll let you know if I am able to replicate and fix the issue or not.

So I'm using this mod but when I hover over a settlement, in this case one situated in the desert I see both the Uninhabitable icon as well as the Unsuitable icon. So it seems that the mod added instead of replacing.

So now I'm stuck with both and it seems like all the penalties stack. Units don't replenish even when in a settlement, takes me 8 turns to build a lvl2 settlement, etc... Soo I'm kinda confused, does this mod only work properly with a new save ? Tried uninstalling it too but somehow the changes are still there so it seems I'm fucked lol.

@blakhawk12 I am not aware of any lore reason, in my mod they do not have the temperate climate suitable for "balance" reasons. :)

Is there a lore reason why Dark Elves find Temperate climate unsuitable? It just seems strange to me that they can live perfectly fine in frozen Naggarond or the Chaos wastes of Norsca but a temperate climate is off-putting? Especially since Temperate Island is suitable for them.

@nicetomeetya Hello, I had the same idea as you and looked into it but sadly had not found a way to make that possible. The mods I make are really simple and do not require moch of knowledge whils the one that you are proposing does. So to sum it up I am sadly not capable of making this mod possible. Sorry to disappoint you.

can you make a mod so that other faction can build in the galleon's graveyard? Like Tier 3 for all faction, tier 4 for land vampire faction and pirate faction? Or just tier 5 for all faction could work too. Provide some incentive to keep TGG instead of just attrition at sea.

It is weird that the mod does this but I am quite certain the issue is that he has some info pools same as regular dark elves hence it takes the "Unsuitable" part from this mod for him even thou it should theoretically not. I will look into it and try to fix it. Thanks again for the info.

Rakarth normally has Chaos Wasteland as Suitable Climate but this changes it to Unsuitable for him.

The point is; Climate icon keeps on green color (pleasant) but Region > province effect
tells me that is unpleasant :/

Would you be willing to add Mountain to the list of Suitable climates for normal Dark Elves and Wasteland to the list of Unsuitable for all? There are quite a few mountainous regions around Naggarond and northern Ulthuan (and the shrine of Khaine) is wasteland...

Just to let you know the Galleons Graveyard is still tier 1 settlement when it is suitable.I guess it is because there are no higher tier settlement main buildings for other factions, that should be real the reason why factions other than vampirates can have full use of Galleons Graveyard..

@masiyi9406 I have changed Ocean suitability to Suitable in case it triggers the Galleons Graveyard into a working settlement. I have also changed mountains to Unsuitable as you requested. Have fun!

hi I just tested it, the graveyard stays tier 1 sadly, I am wondering if you can make mountains unsuitable instead of uninhabitable for lokhir? It might not be loreful but there are so many red regions for him in naggarond.

@masiyi9406 Well that's actually a great question coz I must admit that at the time fo this mod's creation I did not know that Galleon's Graveyard worked in a different way than other settlements. So to answer you question I honestly do not know. It is possible that the way the settlement works is tied to it's suitability in which case the settlement will be upgradeable but otherwise it won't be working. If you find try and find out the answer please do let me know. For now I shall remove that part from the mod descrition. Thanks for the question!

For Lohkir it is possible but Malus has a shared climate pool so it would be suitable for every dark elf. But adding it only for Lohkir might be interesting as it would promote his "pirate raiding" playstyle. Now that I am thinking about it I will probably make ocean unsuitable for Lohkir so he can use the Dreadfleets capital as well.
