I liked it, but discovered I'm not much of a paladin-type. For those who are, this mod is still working in Oldrim. Upvoted.

I'm not adding this at the moment, not sure if I will, but wanted to say hats off, I think this is an amazing idea, and I salute you for the creation of something like this.

Well built Mod, Bravo Bravo

Madrilous, I want you to know. You're one of my favorite Skyrim modders of all time.
Ujiyasu03 19 Oct, 2015 @ 12:52pm
This reminded me of the Knight of The Nine so I use it along with Kynesguard. This was well done.

Maybe you could make wayshrines (or use those of the Dawnguard DLC) just like the Oblivion addon instead of using normal shrines around Skyrim. However, it's a good worked-out mod

Okay, so here's my dilema. I've found a few of the scriptures but was also doing the Black Books quest at the time and so I got bogged down with a bunch of books and lost track of which ones were the scriptures. They must be in my library somewhere, but is it possible to get a list of the scriptures? Even just the book titles (since I've actually, sadly enough, got enough time on my hands I organized my library alphabetically and could easily locate them that way.) It would be much appreciated it possible.
I like the mod so far, btw. It really gives more of a sense of lore within the world, and I love that!

I have a slight problem, when starting up Skyrim it says: Failed to get details for Path of the Divine Steam Error 15...any suggestions on what I can do?
kurtrhinehart 12 Apr, 2014 @ 5:13pm
Excellent mod, had a lot of fun gathering up the scriptures and that damage resistance part really came in handy.
Just one query, I have found all nine scriptures and made all the pilgrimages but the quest does not show as completed. Is there anything else I need to do to show it as completed?

Kurt Rhinehart.

Hi, I love this mod and I've added this to a collection and thought you might like to know.
With compliments :)

I liked the idea of this mod and but afer completing the pilgranage to all nine shrines and then looking for the scriptures which i have only found 1 out of 17 dungeons i am not so sure.

AncienTz 24 Nov, 2013 @ 12:45pm
@Madrilous yeah thats what i meant, i wasnt really clear i when i said praying at shrines i meant the effect you get not unlocking the other ones. =P But yeah what you said is exactly what I mean and would be really nice to see added ;-)
lakegardner 20 Nov, 2013 @ 9:22pm
Where are the scriptures?
Ericus1 18 Nov, 2013 @ 9:06pm
@Madrilous That's actually better than what I understood. I thought they were scattered in specific locations and you'd find them as you progressed through the game, meaning you'd have to go back a repeat large numbers of empty dungeons to find them. If they're just random, I can just find them wherever I want to go, so that's not nearly as much a problem.
Niko 18 Nov, 2013 @ 7:37pm
Pretty cool idea. :)
Madrilous  [author] 18 Nov, 2013 @ 11:18am
@Connor I like the idea, however I think that the offerings would best serve as a way of enhancing the god dedication rather than giving you access to it in the first place. Either it would allow you to use the prayer for longer if you had made an offering to the dedicated gof, or would give you an enhanced version of their buff.
AncienTz 18 Nov, 2013 @ 8:58am
could you mayyybeee make it so that there is an option at the shrine to 'place offering' (which would perhaps have a similar effect to praying at the shrines? so that each god has a preferred offering, like Kynareth would probably have a certain plant as her favourite offering etc)
or to burn incense or something? Just to make it more immersive? =) love the mod.
Rhohera 18 Nov, 2013 @ 7:39am
I just started a new character so this sounds like fun!
AggressiveYodeling 18 Nov, 2013 @ 2:36am
Looks like fun, I might try it soon. It looks well done.
Madrilous  [author] 18 Nov, 2013 @ 1:00am
@Ericus1 Unfortunately map markers won't help here as the scrolls randomly appear in loot and have not been placed in specific locations. Additionally, I think pointing to them rather spoils the fact they have been lost to time and no one knows where they are. If you really can't find them anywhere then use the console. Use help and then "testament" or "litany" or "tome" to return the codes for them. Use player.additems and they will work as if you had found them legitimately

@mink Poor old Rodryn, his mind was failing before his demise. His ability to write correctly was obviously lost as well :P

@paulnoga Chances are the mod hasn't downloaded/installed properly. I would remove both the PathoftheDivine.esp and .bsa files from your Skyrim Data directory. This will re-download the mod next you start Skyrim.
{Strangecraft 17 Nov, 2013 @ 7:16pm
This sounds very interesting nice work.
Ericus1 17 Nov, 2013 @ 4:33pm
Having already cleared most of the game, the individual verses not having map markers is extremely inconvient. I don't really feel like re-walking through an already cleared dungeon on the off chance there MIGHT be a verse page in the chest at the end, let all ALL of them. It's great and all if you're just starting out, but a huge pain in the ass if you have a developed char. Please enable some way of knowing where the pages are: either map markers, some sort of one off quest to find a random one like they did with the dragonwords and the greybeards, something.
internetWeasel 17 Nov, 2013 @ 3:43pm
excellent mod! no bugs so far and very lore-friendly. after having journeyed to wayshrines in order to pray at altars in obvlivion, skyrim's shrines just seemed too easy. having to work for these prayers is far more gratifying. my only suggestion would be to run the journals past an editor, as i noticed a couple of punctuation errors. otherwise, wonderful! i will be recommending this mod to my friends who play.
Ben Dover 17 Nov, 2013 @ 1:25pm
The starting point is not showing up on the map or in the area. Any solutions?
skunk ghoti 17 Nov, 2013 @ 11:17am
Madrilous, ignoring bob, thought I'd let you know that it now works for the full 8 minutes. However, 8 minutes seems to equate to a bit under 3 hours in game time. Sorry if that seems pedantic but I thought you'd want to know. Either way, Ill now be saying my prayers before going questing :)
skunk ghoti 17 Nov, 2013 @ 10:17am
Thanks for the speedy response Madrilous :) I'll check back with it now. Keep up the good work!
Myclock 17 Nov, 2013 @ 9:45am

i do like this makes me think of oblivion.
Hunter 17 Nov, 2013 @ 7:45am
Great idea, I felt the same way for so long.
Madrilous  [author] 17 Nov, 2013 @ 7:19am
@skunk ghoti Your the first person to spot this error so well done. I've just updated it to last 8 real world minutes, which equates to 4hrs game time.
skunk ghoti 17 Nov, 2013 @ 5:59am
I've visited all the shrines and have found one scriptures for each of the 3 verses, and have assigned all 4 parts of the prayer, and yet it only lasts for 20 seconds, not the 4 hours stated. Am I doing something wrong? Btw, great idea for a mod, and if I could get it to work it'd be in my favourites.
Madrilous  [author] 17 Nov, 2013 @ 2:42am
@✡ Loco†e ✡ The Divine Prayer grants you (when all shrines have been visited and scriptures found) 4 buffs. Its an one use per day power buts it pretty powerful so it all balances out
SB 17 Nov, 2013 @ 1:33am
I've read it all, but I am still unsure what benefit this has? Am I doing all this for the heck of it or will the "spell" or whatever it is, give me some kind of bonus?
CPTSaltMine 17 Nov, 2013 @ 12:20am
idea of year
AncienTz 17 Nov, 2013 @ 12:10am

Love the idea. I always felt the divines' role in the game was lacking.
Axelion 16 Nov, 2013 @ 9:23am
A novel idea that sounds like it fits right in to the lore of the game, will give it a try.

this is a beautiful mod. I have a question I dont konw where else to ask; how do you bring up your Favorited list so to add comments or to see how to find the mod location again?
