Report a translation problem
Drones should use travel drive to catch up to your ship if you leave them behind. I had some repair drones outside a destroyer for a very long time trying to repair but it was going to take hours if not days at the rate they were going. And I wanted to move on without losing the drones but ultimately I just left them behind and they (apparently) despawned.
i practically no longer use/rely on drone anymore, so not using this at the end.
well, have meantime heard i am not the only one with that problem, lets see when they solve it... thx for the reply!
In my save with no mods I have the same problem if I am directly commanding the ship with drones. The new behavior only seems to work when you aren't directly manning the ship.
They did change the drones orders in 3.0. If you are having issues here is the place to report it.

Yes and it should be good for 3.0 when it come out.
