Rabbit Holes

I really like this mod, and I don’t know what Bokkang is talking about. I use both, and it works just fine.

Just a few things in case you ever do get back to the modding scene here (no worries). I find that I can disrupt the digging animation by moving, and it still digs a hole and let’s out the rabbit. I also think that it might be a bit unbalanced to have the rabbit escape from the hole right away. You can just keep making holes from a single rabbit. I don’t know how difficult it would be to implement, but maybe having them start out as if the bunny was killed for the day or having them be collapsed for a day.

If I ever play DS again i'll consider that but I havent touched this mod in 5 and half years and havent touched DS itself in over 4 years. Im legitimately surprised this would even still work with how old it is.

Either way anyone else is free to update and republish
BOKKANG 2 Feb, 2020 @ 9:06am
pretty great mod. But you actually cant place rabbit holes with the geometric placements mod on. if you could make it work it would be great because i cant live without that mod. It took me like 2 hours to figure that out
needlexapro 22 Nov, 2017 @ 4:21pm
beautiful mod, well done mate.
seronis  [author] 3 Aug, 2017 @ 4:38pm
As of 8/3/2017 tested mod. Worked on first try. Also took screen shots to show rabbit capture and new nest creation. Anyone with issues just needs to follow instructions, preferably AFTER reading them. I know some of you are impatient and try to create your own instructions to follow because 'reading is hard'. Blame your parents.
Almo the Marmot 3 Aug, 2017 @ 11:18am
I actually like the mod author and his responses.
People are too fucking lazy to even read the description and then preferably want the author to drive over to their house and do an one hour support session in left mouse clicking. Modding a video game nowadays is stupidly easy with the steam workshop but people still behave to autistic to even get that one right.

You always hear "there are no such things as a stupid questions" actually yes there are.
The author answers legitimate to legitimate questions and calls out mongols for their idiocy. Thats the best way to reply as a mod author

Labor camps for the lazy.
Eugenics for the mentally retarded.

Shovel must be equipped and not just in a random inventory slot. Rabbit must be in hand (cursor). And what should be obvious from the time/date stamp this was made LOOOOOOOOOOONG before shipwrecked so if you are playing with anything other than base game / ROG then you need to learn how mods work.
SomethingClever 12 Jul, 2016 @ 5:35pm
Same. Tried bot Regal and normal shovels, and on all kinds of tiles. Just get the drop option, even tested it out on over files I made. They all seem to work on them, regardless of character, dlcs, and wether or not if the mod was enabled when the world was created....it just doesn't work on the save I use. Idk why.
seronis  [author] 20 Jun, 2016 @ 11:00am
Works fine but ONLY if all instructions are followed. Im sorry you have bad reading comprehension. yell at your parents for failing you
Rookieek 28 May, 2016 @ 11:48pm
Thank you.I thought its recipes in structure or magic...
seronis  [author] 28 May, 2016 @ 11:34pm
Read the ENTIRE mod description. It tells you. Its why i wrote it to prevent questions like this.
Rookieek 28 May, 2016 @ 11:17pm
so,how to build a rabbit holes,I can't find it.
Fidooop  [author] 27 Mar, 2016 @ 11:01am
don't remember what I helped with this but I won't decline the contributor invite *shrugs*
seronis  [author] 27 Mar, 2016 @ 10:45am
Read instructions again. This time with your eyes open instead of closed. Actually follow those instructions. Enjoy rabbithole digging goodness. Failure to actually read instructions results in your observed behavior. Its an obvious ID 10 T error. Or PEBCAK. One of the two
Eveninger 26 Mar, 2016 @ 12:56pm
Kek m8 but i found also that i can't place any rabbit anywhere. It just makes rabbits stack, kinda shitty mod, nothing as it should be...
seronis  [author] 25 Mar, 2016 @ 6:08am
No. As i've said multiple times. "A single death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic."
Eveninger 19 Mar, 2016 @ 8:33am
When you stack rabbits and press RMB you kill them all, but KRampus doesn't comes. I killed 160 and nothing happened. Could you fix this please?
seronis  [author] 14 Dec, 2015 @ 4:28pm
Sorry dixxon_sider, I dont own a steam controller so have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what events they use for controls.
Dixon Sider 13 Dec, 2015 @ 2:17pm
i cant figure out how to make rabbit holes with controller, when i hit drop i just drop the rabbit on the floor and the only other option is kill. did i do something wrong?
seronis  [author] 13 Nov, 2015 @ 3:55pm
RoG doesnt change rabbits so its 'RoG ignorant'. The only time you have to be compatible is when an expansion changes the behavior you are modding.
cylentn1ght 13 Nov, 2015 @ 12:41pm
Is this RoG Compatible? o-o
seronis  [author] 5 Nov, 2015 @ 11:32am
Glad people are still finding this useful. And even now it still amazes me that half of everyone who has looked at the mod subscribed. A lot more than I thought would use it.
Bobbyturner 4 Nov, 2015 @ 3:02pm
this is such a handy mod. it turns prepping for winter into an easy spat and not a juggling act with gobs of chests
seronis  [author] 2 Aug, 2015 @ 9:01pm
yeah been mentioned a few times. answer is the same. Killing one rabbit is a crime. Killing a stack of them is just a statistic. =-)
Darth Bokeh 2 Aug, 2015 @ 5:42pm
Not sure if this was mentioned previously, but killing multiple rabbits in a stack appears to increase naughtiness by one rather than by the number of rabbits you've killed.
Pasta! 8 May, 2015 @ 1:58pm
Thank u so much for your effort!
seronis  [author] 8 Mar, 2015 @ 1:43pm
@BloodEagle and what exactly were you doing when it said that? Re-read the instructions in the description. ALL OF THEM. There has not been a single case of it not working when instructions were followed.
spaceturtle 8 Mar, 2015 @ 8:38am
it doesnt work it says i cant do that
Top10Russianzz 7 Mar, 2015 @ 3:49pm
I'm trying to plant the Rabbits to make new holes, but it isn't working and I'm no where near any holes, my character just says "I can't do that." I'm using this mod with Geometric Placement, any help?
seronis  [author] 2 Mar, 2015 @ 1:33pm
You're willing to put in effort with my annoyingly vague hints. Thats the kind of modder I enjoy helping because you dont expect the person helping you to be doing ALL the work for you.
EyresV1 2 Mar, 2015 @ 1:07pm
seronis you have no idea how much you've helped me in my mod creations, thanks a lot, man
seronis  [author] 13 Feb, 2015 @ 10:26am
Congrats on getting it working.
EightChickens 12 Feb, 2015 @ 10:52pm
I made a DST copy and it seems to work with known minor bugs.
http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=391603738
Thanks seronis.
JackyT 11 Jan, 2015 @ 2:38pm
can you plz make this for DST its a really good mod
seronis  [author] 16 Jul, 2014 @ 3:12pm
Naw.. i like people reading thoroughly. Im vindictive that way =-)
hotmatrixx 16 Jul, 2014 @ 6:45am
***Reads description properly (aka the changelog aka the fine print), selects shovel, digs hole and plants rabbit.

Thought: You might want to make the "must have shovel selected as the active tool" as one of the main/first points in your description.
hotmatrixx 16 Jul, 2014 @ 6:41am
Doesn't work right for Vanilla. My rabits stacked up to at least 20 (I havent tested how high they can go yet) and I can't plant anything.

There is another mod on here that has less documentation, but it works as expected. I'll go back to using that one for now. But thanks for putting this up tho.
seronis  [author] 27 Mar, 2014 @ 11:08pm
1 stack (of any size) is only 1 evil deed. Remember murder is bad but genocide is a statistic.
Zealot 27 Mar, 2014 @ 7:53pm
I have a simple question, If i kill stacked rabbits (40 or so) will it still spawn krampus?
CvX 23 Dec, 2013 @ 7:54pm
nice that you liked the idea, Just something i came up with on a whim

and yea skyrim seems cool, thinking of getting it, tried it at my friends place
seronis  [author] 23 Dec, 2013 @ 7:41pm
Heh love that idea. I'm kinda absorbed in skyrim (again) and starbound currently but next time im in a modding mood i'll prob try to figure that out.
CvX 23 Dec, 2013 @ 1:26pm
First of all I wanna say sweet idea, should have been implamented tho to be honest
+Rep

Counteracting Balance (Idea)
"Crops Stealing Rabbits" as a Balanced counter measure would be both realistic
and it would really make you think of how you place the rabbits,
if you are thinking (Most Likly) of making a rabbit farm,
as rabbits really love all kinds of vegies and what not
seronis  [author] 16 Dec, 2013 @ 10:34pm
Nope. was already brought up in earlier comments and is a detail I'm aware of and approve of. Its still one action. (1 death is a tragedy, many deaths are a statistic)
Jarl Bread Maker 16 Dec, 2013 @ 9:51pm
If you have four rabbits in one stack and you kill them you get 1 point to the naughty level instead of four, maybe you should change that to it's proper amount.
You Touch My Tralala 10 Dec, 2013 @ 8:06pm
I have been using this mod for some days now. It is really great and I can't think of anything that should be added. Highly recommend it!
seronis  [author] 10 Dec, 2013 @ 5:01pm
*sneaks in stealth update*

Umm it will work as expected.. yeah.. thats it.. no accidentally squishing your higher stack size. Nope
No Fox Given 10 Dec, 2013 @ 12:41pm
How will this mod work togheter with the "Max Stacks" mod? This mod makes rabbits stackable to 4, while the "Max Stacks" mod to 99.
seronis  [author] 6 Dec, 2013 @ 4:31pm
Thanks let me know if you find any issues or just think of something that would be better balanced if it was changed. Im kinda on a Dwarf Fortress kick right now but I can still make time for modding
BlackLaser 10 Nov, 2013 @ 12:07pm
here is the video with your mod in it^^ http://youtu.be/CE8hTmCn65Q
hope you like it
Devilfish 8 Nov, 2013 @ 12:25pm
Fair enough. Just thought I'd mention it. Thanks for the mod :)
