I remember using a WWI softbody that got its lower pair of wings torn and it flew JUST like this lol!

Takes a little bit of time to get used to the controls
Bat  [author] 7 Nov, 2019 @ 1:49pm
Update: should now work at lower fps'
Bat  [author] 7 Nov, 2019 @ 8:57am
Yeah, I'll probably make a redesigned version that also works at lower fps'
grzybek337 7 Nov, 2019 @ 8:29am
Now I was playing in 114 fps, and it started to work, also sorry that before I didn't realize the flaps where turing 20 degrees. But still, it's not good that you need a good PC to use it.
Bat  [author] 7 Nov, 2019 @ 8:23am
The wing tips tilt as it flaps, though the cycle is quite short so is hard to see
grzybek337 7 Nov, 2019 @ 8:11am
My screen FPS rate doesn't affect in-game physics, In-game FPS does. I'm gonna try to do it with 140 FPS but I just don't see a way it could produce foward thrust, it just flaps the wings, up and down, Irl birds angle them every new flap to produce foward thrust, Inventor did something like that, and today I also flown his and they worked. If I'm using it wrong, please tell me (and why shouldn't it work for everyone?).
Bat  [author] 7 Nov, 2019 @ 7:40am
81 fps isn't going to be sufficient because fps affects physics, even if your monitor can't display it
grzybek337 6 Nov, 2019 @ 11:10pm
Just tested it, I agree with Inventor, I don't know how it is supposed to gain speed while flying, the only moment it gets speed is at the start.
Armored Soul 6 Nov, 2019 @ 4:39pm
One problem...It can't stay in the air. It'll keep slowing down and basically just glide down. A solid 80FPS here so my PC isn't the problem.

bird
Bat  [author] 5 Nov, 2019 @ 7:45am
Do you have v-sync on? If your monitor is 60Hz turning on v-sync will limit the fps to 60 so I would recommend turning it off
Yamnuska 4 Nov, 2019 @ 5:38pm
sad, I only get about 60 fps on average
Bat  [author] 4 Nov, 2019 @ 3:05pm
For now
