does it still work with Dido's Legacy? Noticed this mod was updated after that one and after comp patch
Fruitgeris 18 Jun, 2024 @ 4:06pm
yo could you maybe not make it that it conflicts with the coat of arms added by patrum scuta?
alschw64 24 Aug, 2023 @ 6:42am
Are you still planning to ever update this mod or should this version be considered final?
Basileus Basileon 20 Jul, 2023 @ 1:05pm
Is it okay if I was to make use of this mod in an overhaul mod?
Albrecht 19 Apr, 2023 @ 2:20am
@faiuwle
Why remove the vanilla african religion? Is it inaccurate? Does it represent any religion in particular?
I would be interested in adding more african religions to cover the whole of africa. Maybe you can point me in the right direction
faiuwle  [author] 22 Jan, 2023 @ 5:01pm
You can use any of the code/logic. If you want to use the texts, contact the guy who worked on this with me and ask him. I don't know what his Steam account is, but he is Atimo3 on the PDX forums.
Albrecht 20 Jan, 2023 @ 9:38pm
Can I add stuff from your mod to mine?
Elidurden123 12 Oct, 2022 @ 5:19am
I really love this mod. It is such a shame that the old ARR comp patch no longer works. :/

You have to own the empire of Kanem-Bornu, but you can start anywhere and acquire the land required to form or usurp it. You can form or usurp any empire if you control 80% of its de jure territory and have two kingdom titles (the kingdom titles can be anything, they don't have to actually be part of the empire). There's a de jure empires map mode where you can see what is considered the de jure territory.
Darviathar 9 Oct, 2022 @ 12:50pm
Ok, I'll try to nail those down. Thanks for responding! It says Empire must be Kanem-Bornu, so starting in Nubia, for example, makes this impossible?
faiuwle  [author] 8 Oct, 2022 @ 3:00pm
Bori starts out with autocephaly, so the holy sites are displayed in the religion UI like Orthodox are.
faiuwle  [author] 8 Oct, 2022 @ 2:57pm
Bori holy sites are Kano, Djimi, Kebbi, Makuria and Tripolitania. Not all of them may have temples, so you may have to build one there.
Darviathar 7 Oct, 2022 @ 9:44pm
I don't see any Holy Sites for Bori? How can I "exalt the Inana" without these?
faiuwle  [author] 21 Jun, 2022 @ 11:10pm
Are you sure your primary title is actually e_maghreb, and not a custom empire title that happens to also be named Maghreb?

You don't have to personally hold all the titles, you just have to control every barony, just like when forming Rome.
Piss Cakehole 11 Jun, 2022 @ 11:19pm
Done it all, reformed Amazigh, had over 3000 prestige, no war whatsoever, made Maghreb my primary title and hold every single county in the area (despite being over the limit) but still cannot form it, still says primary title should be Empire of Maghreb, despite it already being my primary title
faiuwle  [author] 11 Jun, 2022 @ 8:11pm
@Dude Love, the requirements (other than having Maghreb as your primary title) are that you have to be reformed Amazigh, have 3000 prestige, not be at war, and completely control Tunis, Tangier, Tripolitania, and Sous.
Piss Cakehole 21 Mar, 2022 @ 4:27pm
Quick question, despite having Empire of Maghreb as my primary title, i still cannot form Carthage, it's still cross out
Consort 16 Nov, 2021 @ 5:29pm
The descriptions you wrote for this made me laugh a bit too hard but great mod
Sir Tristan107 31 Oct, 2021 @ 10:47am
Man there's literally no content for Africa despite being a very interesting region to play in, but this is pure gold.
yvictor20 3 Nov, 2020 @ 12:31am
Thank you!
faiuwle  [author] 2 Nov, 2020 @ 4:19pm
If you mean Ancient Religions Reborn, there is a link in the description to a compatibility patch that someone made for it on the forums. I haven't tried it myself and I'm not supporting it, but you can try it and see if it works.
yvictor20 2 Nov, 2020 @ 10:45am
could this be made compatible with Ancient Religions? The religions and coa show but not the doctrines.
Soul Binder 8 Oct, 2020 @ 7:09pm
Just a note that even with the Compatibility Patch this is still breaking things in Dido's Legacy.
Namely it changes the Icon for Canaanite Religion and the holy sites for it are all shown as having no owners but being fully under Canaanite control so can more or less do an instant reformation without actually owning any religious sites.

Wondering if there is a way to get the Bloodlines, Dynasties and the like from this without getting the religious stuff.
801 TTS Airbats 17 Aug, 2020 @ 9:11pm
I fucking loled
rachelcmaj7 24 Jul, 2020 @ 5:54pm
does anyone know if there's an HIP compatibility patch?
faiuwle  [author] 5 Jun, 2020 @ 11:36pm
No, I don't really know anything about the converter, or about EU4, so I kind of suspect it won't work correctly.
Capitan Boricua 5 Jun, 2020 @ 11:24am
Nice mod, does this work with they EU4 converter?
geofiendking 25 Apr, 2020 @ 11:45am
How about a restored Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) Religion?
faiuwle  [author] 5 Mar, 2020 @ 1:38pm
@Melisandre, it seems there's been some updates to the game since I last updated the mod, I'll have to update it when I get a chance. In the meantime, the mod is updated to 3.3.0, so if you run that version of the game it should work.

@Artamere, yes, because it would really only be for that one county we didn't add it as a separate religion. Some aspects of it are incorporated into Amazigh, however, like the name of the reformed religious head.
House of Krey 23 Feb, 2020 @ 4:05pm
I'm assuming because of the only one province the Guanche(indigenous people of the Canary Islands) have in the game, there are no plans to create a unique Guanche culture and religion separate from the Amazigh religion?
Suckling Scion of Slaanesh 20 Feb, 2020 @ 1:32pm
Hi. I tried reforming the Amazigh religion, and it crashed every time. Please let me know if you need any supporting documents or mod lists. Thank you! The mod is absolutely excellent by the way, it adds a lot of flavor to the usually boring West African region.
faiuwle  [author] 16 Feb, 2020 @ 8:27pm
I actually don't know anything about EU4, so I wouldn't know what would need to be done for that.
Kangarus 16 Feb, 2020 @ 6:24pm
Good mod, encouraged me to play an African ruler when I don't normally play in that region. Will there be a patch for the EUIV converter?
faiuwle  [author] 2 Feb, 2020 @ 12:05am
No, there are currently no plans to make this compatible with mods that change the map.
Schmeeda 1 Feb, 2020 @ 7:22pm
Can you make an Umbra-Spherae compatibility patch in the future?
Wax Irax 1 Feb, 2020 @ 3:37am
Wow that Amazigh ! Good job author !
DinoZeus 20 Jan, 2020 @ 1:02pm
Hey, not related to the mod but I just wanted to say that it inspired me to actually look up the ancient Amazigh religion and its crazy how diverse it was. Thanks for drawing my attention to this wonderful peace of history!!!
faiuwle  [author] 15 Jan, 2020 @ 8:28am
Thanks for the report, I'll get that fixed.
Spartan Lemonade 9 Jan, 2020 @ 5:32pm
I found a bug with the blood sacrifice bloodline. If playing as a reformed Amazigh ruler with the Numidian faith trait, you can still earn the blood sacrifice bloodline, but its not active since you aren't aztec and you don't have bloodthirsty gods
Elidurden123 8 Jan, 2020 @ 9:10pm
Thanks for the reply. Do get in touch because i dont want to mess up the files lol.
faiuwle  [author] 8 Jan, 2020 @ 4:17pm
According to the guy who posted the patch, you copy one mod on top of the other, and then copy the patch on top of the result. You would have to ask the guy who posted it personally if it's still compatible, as we're not supporting it officially here. I'll ask the other guy who worked on this mod to answer your question about the Amazigh gods.
Elidurden123 6 Jan, 2020 @ 9:25pm
I also almost forgot to say where i was confused. do i put the patch in the ARO folder or the AF-REL folder?
Elidurden123 6 Jan, 2020 @ 9:23pm
Perhaps more gods could be added in the future? if this is a meme religion then conquering the middle east as an amazigh might be pretty hilarious and give the pagans of africa more of a reason to care about the levant.
Elidurden123 6 Jan, 2020 @ 9:21pm
@faiuwle Sorry to have to ask this again but how does on use the compatch for reborn exactly. i cant find the explanation on here and the forum does not seem to have an answer either. also is it still compatible? I also wished to ask as to why the numidian faith worships set when he was a despised god of chaos in egypt? I thought that perhaps baal hammon or the moon/sun gods that herodotus spoke of might be more appropriate. if i am wrong i apologize as all research on the numidian faith that i could find was mostly focused on the tannit syncretisim or the worship of gurzil.
faiuwle  [author] 24 Dec, 2019 @ 7:13pm
Is that the HIP map? If so, then no, there isn't.
lmfao 24 Dec, 2019 @ 12:05pm
I don't suppose there's work on an SWMH-compatible version, is there?
faiuwle  [author] 19 Dec, 2019 @ 6:36pm
Thanks for the report! The problem should be fixed in the update I just uploaded.
OLD FASHIONED OATS 18 Dec, 2019 @ 9:36pm
Hey, just a weird little thing I'm experiencing, I reformed Amazigh and went with the Numidian Faith doctrine. Oddly enough, every time I exit the game and reload it later, my Haemoarch traits disappear, along with the Pirate trait. Not sure if it's got anything to do with the mod specifically, but I haven't experienced this before the mod.
faiuwle  [author] 16 Dec, 2019 @ 12:58pm
It could have equally beautiful trait icons, if the person who made the religion icons was interested in helping out again. We could even add them as a contributor, if they were interested. ;)
kaisalmon 16 Dec, 2019 @ 4:05am
Wow! What beautify religious icons this mod has ;)
