When this mod still worked it was brilliant, but since the NFP content and patch releases it no longer works when it comes to purchasing new beliefs and then having them work correctly.

And frustratingly there is currently nothing on the Workshop that comes close to replicating what this mod was doing in terms of customisation options, functionality and intent.

Would be great if I was skilful enough at modding to get it working again as Oni intended, but unfortunately I'm not gifted or skilful at modding so it is beyond my abilities.

Such a great idea and such a good overhaul. Pity it's not being maintained (and presumably would have plenty of code or mod conflicts) but thanks for making this for those back in the day.
Oni  [author] 23 Dec, 2021 @ 11:13am
@( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I'm currently not playing or modding Civ6 so no, can't remember if you can remove them in the xml files of the mod.
LooseCannon135 23 Dec, 2021 @ 11:09am
for gospel and godly depictions cant you just fix them or remove them if they dont work
Oni  [author] 17 Jul, 2021 @ 2:53am
@thecrazy13 It's a scaling issue when dealing with lower resolutions, i hadn't been able to find a solution when i was working on the mod.
thecrazy13 16 Jul, 2021 @ 9:57am
all the UI for this mod is broken, it seriously needs an update
Kosro Tiger 27 Nov, 2020 @ 3:30pm
i like your mod but when i play and open the religion panel (after founding a religon), the "My religion" panel and the "Purchase beliefs with faith" panel are overlapping on each other. Also, i can't see some beliefs (because they aren't in the panel), even if I have changed the UI size dimensions in the files (like you explained).

Do you konw how to fix this ?

(sorry if there is some errors, i'm french and i have some problems to speak/write in english TwT)
Noah 12 Nov, 2020 @ 5:05am
Thanks for this. Fixes a lot of problems I had with Civ 6's religion system (including all the unit spamming).
Faysal 13 Jul, 2020 @ 1:08pm
Max religions to 7? No thanks
Oni  [author] 3 Jul, 2020 @ 11:01pm
@sage20500 Are you using any other mods?
sage20500 3 Jul, 2020 @ 5:51pm
no, i had no contact with any civ up to that point, i founded my religion and selected my initial beliefs; and then two turns later when i went to purchase some upgrades both of my cities were fully calvanist (the ai created religion), and the religion screen said that calvanism was the only religion present in the game
Oni  [author] 2 Jul, 2020 @ 11:04pm
@sage20500 Hmm, is the majority of your civilization followers of the AI's religion?
sage20500 2 Jul, 2020 @ 7:41pm
I'm not quite sure what might be going on; I made some changes to the ui using the message that Cobber51 put up; and while that seems to be working;

In the current game I'm playing in as russia; one of the AI's founded a religion using Stonehenge before I was able to start up my religion; how ever even though the game says 2 out of 7 religions have been founded; it believes that my civ is a follower of Calvanism; and I am unable to purchase any belief modifiers using faith that do not cost 0 faith (the pantheon beliefs)
Oni  [author] 30 Jun, 2020 @ 12:31pm
@sage20500 This system is independent from the vanilla one, shouldn't cause any problems.
sage20500 29 Jun, 2020 @ 9:14pm
Any one know if this works with the most recent update that changed a few of the beliefs and added in a couple new ones?
meh529 27 Jun, 2020 @ 8:08am
This looks great.
Oni  [author] 28 May, 2020 @ 2:59pm
@o_siyeza Not playing Civ 6 atm so i ain't modding it either right now.
The AI should still use the old system.
Probably, i haven't done anything with lenses before.
o_siyeza 28 May, 2020 @ 3:32am
Also, an idea, would be posible to deactivate religious lenses and instead mark the locations of the places wher u can heal/recharge?
o_siyeza 27 May, 2020 @ 5:26pm
This is awesome. Keep the good work.

Somebody know, how this impacts the AI?
Oni  [author] 11 Apr, 2020 @ 10:47pm
@sage20500 Makes sense, Doctrine uses a different system but does import alot of the vanilla beliefs into the new system.
sage20500 11 Apr, 2020 @ 7:02pm
I've been having some issues attempting to start a game with this mod active; it looks like Doctrine has compatability issues with any mod that adds more beliefs to the game?
Oni  [author] 31 Mar, 2020 @ 5:30pm
@joekraska Don't think it'll work with existing saves, it should cause problems when removing it from existing saves tho
Cobber [1st M.I.] 31 Mar, 2020 @ 3:48pm
@joekraska: This mod isn't save game friendly unfortunately. I did the same thing, downloading it and trying to use it in an in-progress game but I found it definitely doesn't apply to save games in progress and requires you to start a new game in order for it to properly take effect.
joekraska 31 Mar, 2020 @ 2:52pm
Hi. Is this mod supposed to be save game friendly? I downloaded it, confirmed it active, and loaded a save. I then went through two turns. It never deleted all the extra religious units like it says it will. I am running with Gathering Storm.
Oni  [author] 19 Mar, 2020 @ 4:27pm
@Grilled Arsenic You'd have to manually go into the files and change the dimensions of the ui, it's gonna require alot of trial and error and will only work for your own resolution.
Grilled Arsenic 19 Mar, 2020 @ 2:39pm
This is a super cool mod, does anyone know how to fix the belief column issue?
Oni  [author] 9 Mar, 2020 @ 6:05pm
@The Big Red Cheese No, but you could just delete the ones you don't want from the list of modifiers..
The Big Red Cheese 9 Mar, 2020 @ 5:47pm
Is it possible to get a lite version of this mod where it doesn't add all those goofy beliefs, and just changes the way beliefs are added?
Oni  [author] 6 Jan, 2020 @ 1:40pm
@alex_n Currently messing with modding some other games, i'd eventually get back to Civ 6 when i feel like it, so some time in the future.
norph 6 Jan, 2020 @ 1:35pm
If believe list would be in 2 columns instead of 3, it will fit in standart 1920x1080 resolution. Any plans on fixing, author?
norph 6 Jan, 2020 @ 1:29pm
Have an overlapping interface issues in religion overview window as well. So sad (

@Trayvonis np
Trayvonis 10 Dec, 2019 @ 1:01pm
Thank you, I'm not trying to bug you btw if you are not into modding civ for now I can just keep the fixes to myself. Again, thank you for pointing me in a start direction. :)
Oni  [author] 10 Dec, 2019 @ 12:58pm
@Trayvonis Something todo with PurchaseBeliefs_Stack, tho i can't remember much about it
Trayvonis 10 Dec, 2019 @ 12:35pm
I have managed to get the size scaled down to fit 1360 by 768 (cut the parent size down from 1000 to 775. Issue now is the "My Religion Overview" and the purchase beliefs are now overlapping and I do not know what numbers to change to adjust the width. Also the screen headers are bunched up, in other words it does not look clean but it does work.
Trayvonis 8 Dec, 2019 @ 12:56pm
Glad I could be of some help. Thanks again for this EPIC mod. :)
Oni  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 12:37pm
@Trayvonis Good to know!
Trayvonis 8 Dec, 2019 @ 11:55am
Thank you for the reply. I had to adjust my screen resolution moved it up from 1360 by 768 to 1680 by 1050. That seems to be the minimum resolution the confirm button will appear.
Oni  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 10:28am
@Trayvonis Does the screen appear as the screenshots above? There are scaling issues i haven't been able to address so far.
Trayvonis 7 Dec, 2019 @ 11:56pm
Not sure if anyone is still keeping up on this, I cant find the confirm button when it asks me to choose a Pantheon, I can click on what I want but no button is on screen to confirm. I have tried exiting out of the screen and going back in but nothing happens and I cant skip turn because Choose Pantheon is still in my main screen button.
Timmers97 24 Oct, 2019 @ 9:37am
okay thank you, will keep an eye out
Oni  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 6:22am
@Timmers97 Ye you're playing at a lower resolution than me that's probably why. Might be another scaling issue, i'd have to look more into it next week.
Oni  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 6:08am
@Junk Dunno about Civ 6 and multiplayer with mods, you'd have to try and see. Dunno about popular mods either, if the mod adds beliefs you should be able to add them to the "BeliefCosts.xml", it might get more complicated based on load order, try and see.
Zero 23 Oct, 2019 @ 4:57pm
Does this work in multiplayer, and are there any significant conflicts with popular mods?
Timmers97 23 Oct, 2019 @ 2:13pm
my resolution is 1920x1080 and i'm not sure whether it's on or not, but the UI scaling is at 100% by default and i can't change it.
Oni  [author] 23 Oct, 2019 @ 8:03am
@Timmers97 What's your resolution and do you have UI Scaling turned on?
Timmers97 23 Oct, 2019 @ 7:58am
i have the same thing happen that blue nerd has, but instead on the religion overview. the menu is so far up in the right that the entire right column is unpickable from.
Saucy Sheep 19 Oct, 2019 @ 5:29pm
thank you so much this makes religion no longer a cake walk for smaller games and reduces spain's annoying agenda to a minor inconvenience
Blue Nerd 19 Oct, 2019 @ 4:07am
Ok, reguardless, thanks for your effort.
