Born too late to experience the golden age of Gears of War. Just in time for my father to pass down his Gears of War games to me and have this mod in the Workshop.

hope there will be a mod pack that has the proper models from gears of war 1 to gears 5

@Therookie99 this is an alive mod so it doesnt have its own assets, the units are made using assets from other mod like halo and warhammer couse as far as i know, noone has uploaded any gears stuff to arma yet

@everyone elce if we ever do get some gears assets, even just a lancer, i will update this or more likely make a "full gears mod" with all its factions represented in some way (just like with my resistance & crysis mods)

yes and no. I wouldn't call it a plan per say, but i might update this or just make a much larger separate mod that would be more flushed out and add somthin to shoot at like UIR and locust, should more appropriate assets be released. i doubt i'de ever be able to fully do the gears universe justice with just an alive faction mod, but lately we've gotten things like energy shields, chain swords, and resistance's chimera, so i'de say the future of sci-fi in arma 3 is looking bright

sadly thats not a raven in the pics, its a vanilla ch-49 that the AFF and some other factions use, just with a black paint camo. and as for the Killzone mod, the m12 smg didn't make the 2019 holiday optre update and im mainly just waiting on that at this point. basicly its a halo-esk version of the sta-52. from what i hear it wasn't 100% done in time so hopefully it gets added in a hotfix patch. worst case just gotta wait for their next update

lol matter of fact ive already started on a killzone mod like this im just stuck on one small snag. there used to be a LR 300 in one of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R mods callthe the tr 301. the LR 300 was the basic for the m82 that the ISA use, was goona try and turn it into a bullpup or or failing that retexture it at the lest. the problem is at this time im unable to find it anywere and lack the knowlage to make my own. as for the hellgast cant remember what its called but hte halo mod is workin ona gun that looks ALOT like their sta-52. So yea thats it, just waitin on those guns before releasing it lol

those guys in the screens look kinda like the Helgast from Killzone, ever thought of doing a Killzone situation? I've yet to see Killzone done in Arma, though it's possible I just havent found it.

Yeah the opposition team give people who do hard work like Article 2 and Legion Armory a bad name. They'll rip assets from whatever they can and port it over to arma, not even doing a good job of it.

true, but i'm not sure how i'd feel about a gears mod full of stolen assets

only people that come to mind that could make a full fledged gears mod would be the opposition guys. if they can make a reaper, why not a brumak right. plus they're russian so they dont care about getting sued lol.

yes, just not by me, this is just a small mod made using the alive faction maker. I cant even figure out how to retexture, let alone model or animate. this mod is intended to be a "proof of concept" hopefully to inspire someone that knows how to make it
