@layndarat i know what you mean about not being able to build structures but you can still setup fob's with vehicles and create defences like sandbags, at this point your behind enemy lines and it makes it even more difficult and causes you to plan more and be more strategic

you guys should check out my other maps this one is to big i cant get 8 player games going,

check out leinne sandbox 3v3 that is the mos successful one i have and i had amazing rounds

i got a dessert map like that i already completly created one myself because a dessert was less things to build haha and it works really good, it forces players to use transport trucks and build fobs to win, also you need to communicate and coordinate with your team its not just a push push push push.

anything can happen.

@Layndarat hey man i did it and it works amazing, sure a few things can be tweaked but i already had a couple 2-4 hours long games that are just hard as hell for each to to win and in the end whoever comunicates and makes a plan to flank the enemy or somthing simular is the winner, if you just spam troops you lose

Also when I was thinking about doing it I was gonna make the largest map possible but just make it an empty desert with one victory point at the very center. That way you'd have to build all the cover & buildings yourself adding to the sandbox effect. With the add all units mod you'd be able to build forward bases and Strong points where ever. Call the map "Sands of Time"

@the Warrior I had sandbox idea as well I just couldn't figure out the world editor, thanks for making it work.

Cheers mate, no worries. I will have a look at what you've done to my map at some point and let Pawn Troop know as well.

I have thought about putting half capture points inside each base areas for all territories on the map before. The only problem with doing that is that a lot of the time there are structures and emplacements that can only be built in controlled territory and that would prevent forward placement in the other team territory of said structures or emplacements when the area is 'taken'.

Or, if you are surrounding territories with a base team area encompassing half the map, the same thing applies after the half way point. It's interesting but the ideas come with those problems that cannot be worked around...

no problem i dont even know where to edit the description, i love these video games and i edit and create alot of age of mythology maps. These maps are very long to create and i had an idea of a sandbox mode so i pulled random maps and edited the capture points and placed them inside each base for each team to deploy on the map however they want.

i will find the description and edit it and add you both into it

G'day there. Mate you should credit me as well as Pawn Troop for this map. Firstly his map, 'Trio of Carnage' is very different from how I altered it in the end to the 'Towns of Carnage 2.0 Final' map. Both of us put countless hours into that map so if you want to post it, credit in the description where it's due mate... Cheers
