This mod's port, Outfit Stands Plus, is live. Grab it here:

Has anyone done a retexture of this? The textures are a little dated.
=PS= Candy Bottom 6 Aug @ 12:46am
Is there an alternative to the armor racks until the fix? I can ignore the errors but the more armor racks on the screen will slow the game down. This and Kijin Race 3.0 don't seem to work together and removing Kijin Race 3.0 breaks the save. Playing Rimworld without the ability to suit up is downright madness.

One thing that could actually give this mod a useful purpose in 1.6 could be to have these armor racks be "optimized clothing shelves", ie what they currently are but on top of it you can actually equip anything on the rack without having to equip the whole thing at once (ie pawns would be able to only go get a flak helmet without also putting on the flak pant that was on it as well).
This would have the amazing added benefit of giving great compatibility with mods like compositable loadouts, gear up and go and better pawn control ;)
khamenman  [author] 2 Aug @ 11:00pm
Currently testing it in my own run
Will probably release it in a week or two
SP4RTAN 2 Aug @ 8:32pm
How's the mod for odyssey coming along? :)
cminjae337 2 Aug @ 1:44am
cannot equip from armor rack(race mismatch) is compatablity issue right
Tentacular! 31 Jul @ 8:29pm
Recon helmet doesn't seem to offset right.
Jixxor 29 Jul @ 11:54am
I see, thanks for clarifying.
And yes, Ludeon copying mods but somehow worse is a real staple of theirs.
Dizzy Ioeuy 28 Jul @ 5:56pm
Yeah damn, Ludeon didn't do half as good as this mod! Wish they'd read the room better!

SO HAPPY you updated, man. THANK YOU
Spanky_H 28 Jul @ 9:27am
Always loved this mod, super happy to hear you're porting the extra functionality onto the Odyssey outfit stands, as I was finding them very lacking :)
khamenman  [author] 27 Jul @ 10:14pm
Not a bug, armor racks work based on container logic from base game, and things inside containers are not haulable (grave is an example of a container)
The outfit stands version of this mod wont have this issue
Jixxor 27 Jul @ 9:51am
I bow before your wisdom and beg forgiveness for my earlier comment.
It works perfectly. I must have messed up before.

Mod is amazing.

One more question if you don't mind: is it an issue on my end (mod conflict) that makes it so Crafting Bills (e. g. "Craft Flak vest until you have 5") don't count items that are stored on Armor Racks? Items stored on Outfit Stands are counted for me, but even when I have 5 Flak Vests stored on Armor Racks, the bill in the Fabrication Bench will not recognise I have a single one.
khamenman  [author] 26 Jul @ 7:37am
You are supposed to use the "transfer" command after "equip". Make sure the storage is configured correctly. If it puts the gloves/boots onto the rack, that means you don't have them forbidden
Jixxor 26 Jul @ 4:49am
Is there a way to just revert the equipment process? First Remember the current clothing, then equip from armour rack, later go back to the Clothing that was active before equipping from the Rack.

On my armor racks I have full flak armour (Helmet, Panths, Jacket, Vest)
My colonists clothing policy has T-Shirt, Pants, Gloves, Boots.

When I equip, they put on the Flak Helmet, Vest and Jacket. They Swap out their normal pants for their Flak Pants. Now, the Armor Rack carries only pair of Pants.

When the fighting is over and I use Equip, they only Swap out their Flak Pants for the normal Pants. The Armor rack now does not carry the full armour set.
When using Transfer instead, they transfer not only the Flak Armour, but also the gloves and Boots and are naked except for the Pants they swapped out for the Flak Pants.
Glottis 25 Jul @ 4:49pm
That sounds amazing, I've really missed some of these features since 1.6 more than I expected. Especially with more reason to have different outfits for space travel in Odyssey.
SP4RTAN 24 Jul @ 6:42am
Looking forward to it!
khamenman  [author] 24 Jul @ 6:39am
I'm working on a separate mod that ports this one's features onto Odyssey's outfit stands
Will post in this thread once it's ready and sufficiently tested
HotCoffeeDude 23 Jul @ 2:57pm
Wow, I wish the new armor stands in vanilla worked this way, what a disappointment. This mod surpasses vanilla and doesn’t feel obsolete at all.
=PS= Candy Bottom 23 Jul @ 12:45am
Found the problem. It's the Kijin Race 3.0 mod that's making the clothing invisible on the armor rack.
khamenman  [author] 22 Jul @ 8:28pm
There is such an option in the mod settings
Tentacular! 22 Jul @ 10:33am
Woudl be good to have an option to force all apparel to pawn upon equipment. I keep having this issue where I equip, and they immediately follow apparel rules to take off their armor.
chromedbustop 22 Jul @ 3:54am
I still find this to be a mandatory mod in my game. It's still better and much more convenient than the vanilla armor racks. Managing outfits has been one of the most annoying parts of the game and these armor racks make it much easier.
One of my favorite mods and IMHO definitely has not been made obsolete by the Odyssey expansion.
=PS= Candy Bottom 21 Jul @ 9:10pm
So clothes aren't visible on the racks anymore?
Akry 20 Jul @ 1:39pm
I cant even assign colonist to the odessy display stand.
have to manually give order to each pawn to change outfit.
meh... maybe I was spoiled by this mod over the years.

anyway, came here to download it again because this is still a must have,
selageth 19 Jul @ 11:21pm
I still prefer this mod over the vanilla armor racks. I think the mending racks are a bit slow though. Can I edit the apparel repair per tick rate somewhere in the mod files?
Cosmo Corban 19 Jul @ 6:13pm
Yeah, I have the same sentiment as Jippy :C
JACK 19 Jul @ 11:54am
RIP to a real one. I do agree with everyone else posting here though
千冥落 19 Jul @ 7:59am
I have the same issue as Jippy.
Jippy 18 Jul @ 3:11pm
I was disappointed that in vanilla, the armor racks don't do a complete swap of an outfit, leaving micromanaging to do afterwards. Anybody else feel the same?
bunx2021 17 Jul @ 3:35pm
1.6 Amor racks! The Highlight of my day ^-^
KentBoby 17 Jul @ 8:42am
The best mod that foresaw future updates with armor racks. It served me faithfully, albeit with some bugs.:rjumendoka2:
RojoMuerte 16 Jul @ 7:01pm
I think that there is a place for a lite Odyssey like rack that mends.
LOTO 15 Jul @ 7:54pm
this is the real armor rack
UmbraAtrox 15 Jul @ 6:52am
Vanilla Armor stands are hot garbage. Glad this mod exists.
Vane 15 Jul @ 1:19am
When you make vanilla rack additions, can you add an option so that the outfit pawns put on is not forced? It's for use with compositable loadouts, where you can make an outfit for alarms.
VZaron 14 Jul @ 2:22pm
"I might make a separate mod that improves outfit stands and leave this one as is" That would be awesome
khamenman  [author] 13 Jul @ 9:06pm
I might make a separate mod that improves outfit stands and leave this one as is, I think it would be less confusing this way
Will look more into on it on the weekend
億KiotheCloud四 13 Jul @ 6:59pm
Just like how Kryth says the DLC armour rack has pretty basic settings would be better to instead make this mod an "Expanded" version and give the basic armor rack in the dlc have the same UI as this mod.
Kryth 13 Jul @ 7:13am
From what I've interacted with the Odyssey DLC, this mod isnt entirely outdone by the DLCs outfit stand

Any plans to update the Odysseys outfit stand to work similar to yours?

For those that dont know, the outfit stand on the DLC while doing some things better like allowing pawns to remove things on the stand, doesnt have the other features this one has like with assigning a stand to a pawn and an option to tell them to switch(would be handy for space), and the mending and mechanized racks

Rusturion 12 Jul @ 4:08pm
Doesn't sound like this mod is mostly obsolete at all. Thank you for updating!
mocha 12 Jul @ 12:17pm
Thanks for keeping the mod updated
The one from the DLC is very basic and is missing all the cool features from Armor Racks.
