i dont know why this character has 4 stars, seems like a 5 star character by how fun she is to play as, and not being so overpowered, i guess her up special is bull shit; as she launches herself hundred of meters in the sky, but besides that bs, really fun character to play as (not against ;__;)

ROAD ROLLER! Lol, find it very fitting how your profile pic is Dio from Jojo. Especially when Sakuya had her own alt costume in the fighting game that had Dio's color palette as well.

In general, this was a really fun Touhou mod to play around with, notably with chucking a bunch of knives at the opponent (that was my favorite part lol). Her moves come out quite quick, which makes combo-ing and juggling the opponent quite fun (especially when finishing off with her downwards spike).

Dang, you really did a good job on Sakuya here. She's super fun to not only play as, but to play against as well. And I especially lover how you incorporate projectiles into her moveset, such as how she throws a knife with her back air or how she drops her pocket watch with her Side Special.

Plus, the sheer variety of knives in her moveset is really nice. There's normal blue knives (special), slower-but-stronger green knives (down special), a group of 3 red knives (side special).

Overall, it's always nice to see a Touhou character get representation in Rivals of Aether. And your character really stands out in a way that I feel like a lot of people can get a good introduction into the series by how fun she is to play as.

Sakuya is insanely fun, however she is also insanely broken, as it stands, if she only had nair, jab and uptilt she would still be the strongest character in the game. It would be nice if you rebalanced her so that I can play her without feeling like a scumbag. Uptilt is 100% the strongest move in her kit, it's insane, alternating jab and uptilt is broken and is nigh inescapable if she doesn't drop it. All in all, she has incredible potential to be an amazing character and I hope to see her reach it.

incredibly overpowered and some of the specials are buggy, but not a bad take on a touhou fighter. with some balancing and fixes, this could be extremely fun to play

I'm really happy to see a Touhou character in here. It's made me happy since I can finally play a character based on a game I've always loved. However, there are things I would like to bring up because I want to be able to use her around my friends without them being frustrated or feeling like they've been cheated.
So here is something I'd like to see:
1) Her Up B is too fast and the fact that you can cancel it with any special makes it too powerful. I like the spiking on it, but I feel like it's way too unfair.
2) Her aerials are way too fast. If they can have more end lag, that's make her a more fair character.
3) I do enjoy BAir being a move that pulls them, but maybe lower the knockback on it? It seems really unfair.
4) Her sprite is so big...
5) Her speed is way too fast, maybe have her a bit slower?
6) While she might not do too much damage if you don't spam aerials, she still hhas too much kill power, especially down smash spiking and killing at 20, maybe even 10.

Really fun so far, but seems hella busted lol. You can infinitely use sideb in air, upb you can spam like 40x and not come back down to the stage for at least like a minute.
Glad you nerfed the downb rate because before it was like impossible to get through the wall of knives and luna dials if you edgeguarded with it.
Back air pulling in is a really sick concept and some spicy stuff can be pulled off if you can use it properly (I can't)
I'd really consider taking a look at the up b and remove the infinite if you mash it, maybe make it slower too?
Also down air seems like it lasts too long, the hitbox shouldn't stay out as long imo for something that can spike kill below 30% if you hit it offstage, maybe that's just me though. Overall sick character though, really feels like how Sakuya would actually play in a platform fighter for the most part.

not sure if she is supposed to be overpowered if not them maybe make the upB not an instant recovery from anywhere,and if possible make her smaller, shes a bit big compared to the other cast members. also she is way to fast in the air and on foot, you can just follow the badguy to the blastzone and be able to still come back

is up special bugged? I use it and it just teleports me to the top of the stage. Side special also just moves me to the blast zone very quickly unless I air dodge/roll out of it. Up smash hitbox is HUGE, and her projectiles are very spammable

Up special stills sends you sky high, you rarely actually teleport to the opponent. Maybe something more like Absa's Up special?

Another new update, Nerfed all of her b moves and made side b more viable, Also fixed the infinite up b glitch and some hitboxes

so uhh her up b can be cancelled into any special while rising which is very broke, you can do uspecial to nspecial/dspecial and such and its just busted.

They're definitely completely and utterly busted though

As for my experience playing her (which is, at most, half an hour), I noticed some things
Side-B is really risky and can easily kill you from the side if you're not careful
Not sure if it's just me, but Up-B is spammable while the initial animation plays, so it allows it to gain height indefinitely

I may be not looking into it enough, but that's all I could find

Great idea, but it needs its fair share of work. She's way too tall, and her hitboxes are horrible. F-tilt, dash attack, and n-air are the greatest examples of bad hitboxes.

She may be a bit op; i'm not quite sure since i'm playing against ai only currently; but god damn this character is way fun to play as. If she is OP, I would love for a version of her as is to remain on the workshop seperately (assuming there are plans to nerf her a lot or anything) because this character is really fun and interesting. Its awesome playing as her, and (with my admittedly limited knowledge of touhou) feels like she is really true to the idea of the games, a fast paced character that can hit a bunch real quick when she gets in, and can use some seriously destructive power; but not outright hitting hard with every hit.

This is probably my favorite workshop character that's up currently in terms of gameplay; great job!

I have fixed a lot of the issues, her hitboxes make sense now and I nerfed down b, I changed her back air so now she throws a knife that pulls you in slightly, and her up b is now a teleport.

ftilt nair and dash attack are way too huge like insanely huge and up air is so tiny maybe fixing those hitboxes would make her feel more balanced

Pretty nice character! Though i think there could be some improvements:

- Side special's animation comes after Sakuya's gone past and the opponent's been launched. Maybe have Sakuya hit the opponent, do the animation, THEN go past the opponent and launch them
- Down special is op as hell LOL, could be toned down (incredibly fast + insane kill power in air, comes out very early)
- Up special just feels weird, maybe try something without using Sandbert's special? E.g. Knife Jump (from Touhou Luna Lights, not sure about what she has in the mainline Touhou games)
- Up air and back air feel way too much like Sandbert's (but then again, considering Sakuya's a more combo based character you could consider this fitting)

That aside, very fun character! Can't wait to see Reimu too!
