i think that this is what the snake should do: when an enemy is near you, the snake attacks him but its not op only like -5% damage to help you kill him

This is a good idea. Mind you, Snakes, Eels, and Worms are all excellent pets for use on the necks of the Mercs, and IRL, there is a species of each type of creature that can constrict around a human's neck and not kill them and wait there for about 4 hours on end before being put back in its cage/tank/terrarium (excellent pets).
