You know, I should have looked at the comments whenever I kept checking to see if this mod was updated. Finally did, and just Zizon Moo, Thank you for this mod, I love the Nyarons dearly. I adore them and the work you put in to this. This is absolutely one of my favorite mods, and I look forward to all that you're working on, and just. I appreciate you, and I know I have some other friends who also love this mod who do too.

Your mod is AWESOME. You make it incredibly easy for us to put the catgirls race we saw in many animes inside our Rimworld stories. I cannot possibly understand people complaining about a MOD you can just not use if you don't want to.

Looking forward to your update. This is one of my favorite mods. I have so many stories with the catgirls and I am looking forward to bring them to space with gravships.

Hey man, I've been using your mod since 1.1 or 1.2 consistently in all my playthroughs. I love what you are making here and Rimworld is not the same without Nyarons.

Don't let the haters put you down!
Just know that there are people over here who love your work and we really appreciate you. I can see how much effort you put into it. You really did not have to keep adding content to it, but you did. It is clear to me that this is a work of love. If people can not see that, it says more about them than it does about you :)

The internet can be a very negative place, but please remember that there are a lot of silent voices (= people who do not usually post, like me) who really appreciate you. Greetings and all the best wishes from Germany.

You're right. I understand you're disappointed in me. It's best to just listen to your opinions here. But I'm a Korean speaker. I'm not very good at English. To be honest, there's the only anonymous community (similar to Reddit) in Korea where news about the game is active. One of the main topics there is about race mods. Well, I can only tell you that there's been a lot of bad things going on there.

That is odd you got so many complaints.
Many of us here, including me, love both your mod and your work. I also loved that it's not too overloaded with items (unlike the Ratkin or Yuran mod for instance).

If you recall, I even immortalized a Nyaron-heavy run I'd recently finished (with some artworks in my gallery (AI-made, as my art skills are garbage)), and considered it one of my most fun and memorable playthroughs of Rimworld.

Now, a month later, my thoughts have been sorted out. I recently saw myself trying to update my mod to version 1.6. For those few really looking forward to my work, I'm going to be adding and updating content to Odyssey as soon as possible. And please don't mention this article anywhere else. I just want to put my efforts into it for those who are really waiting for my work. Thank you.

Hello everyone. First of all, I would like to say sorry for not having any news for a long time.
Remember when someone brought me a piece of complaining that I wrote to a community here? Half of it is true. I suffered from the deprivation I felt for discord and other modders at the time, and how my efforts were underrated than writing a little bit of xml. I wrote to the community I mentioned above in the midst of my efforts to make my mod better, but all I was coming back was biased opinion and tons of cyberbullying. It made me hate this game to the point where I don't even want to see the posts being posted here.

@SlayaZes on the Biotech question, did you mean the version 1.4 mod Biotech Nyaron that adds their xenotypes? If that is the case, yes I plan on trying to update that one as well.

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong with trying to upload the mod. I have uploaded what I have done. Feel free to try it. Hopefully it works as well for others as it does for me. There are issues still but nothing game breaking so far as I have tested, which has not been much as I have been really busy..... Sorry

@SlayaZes Well, I am not sure if/how Biotech changed from 1.5 to 1.6. It still has the files for the old 1.5 Biotech. I set the mod to use the 1.5 biotech files so there still needs to be testing done there.

I added the same vacuum resistance to the Nyaron power armor and helm as the Odyssey vac suit and helm and it will act as a vac suit. Another thing I noticed is that the Nyaron power armor and helm will need a buff to the insulation to be able to handle vacuum as well. I am going to set it to the same as the vac suit for simplicity. I think the vac suit is 90 C cold, 15 C hot and the helm is 6 C cold, 4 C hot.

@SlayaZes Good catch, I am not too familiar with all of the new things added to Rimworld with Odyssey yet. I completely forgot to check for anything like vacuum resistance on the apparel. I was mainly focused on making the Nyaron race mod run with 1.6. I doubt it will work as a vac suit without adding the vacuum resistance to the apparel xml. Adding that is simple, finding the exact xmls can be difficult but luckily Nyaron race has made it easy to find a lot of the stuff.

I would post the code on how I fixed the no surface error and null error for the Nyaron scenarios but I cannot get the comment to maintain the xml format so it doesnt really look like it would help. I will put it in here but since the formatting doesnt hold, /t is for a tab in my coding text editor.

Specifically, to fix the scenarios no surfaceLayer and null error I added the following in each of the Nyaron scenario xmls inbetween the <playerFaction> and <parts> defs:

Well, I have it kind of working. Still get a Harmony error about some Harmony Patching that I dont really understand but it still plays. Some of the Nyaron backgrounds, ages, and inventories act up when I use Nyarons in the grav ship scenario where they dont start with the correct gear. That could be because of using the character editor mod in pawn selection.

I dont know how to upload my personal update and its still a bit squirrely so its probably not worth posting. 99% of the fixes were just modifying the xml files. The most difficult thing, other than the Harmony patch error which I still have not fixed, was deciphering how to add the new surface layer to the scenarios. Ive never made or modified a mod for Rimworld before but it only took me about 4 hours to dig through and modify the xmls.

The harmony patcher thing looks like it will need dll modification. I tracked it down to HarmonyPatches in NyaronHarmony in the Nyaron.dll but thats as far as I went.

That said, assuming that link is actually FarmRadish (hard to tell, as I don't speak Korean), then I'm a little offended at his words.

Him saying that no one commented on Nyaron. Even though there were numerous comments about it, here.
And me doing a whole celebration series in my own art gallery, of my Nyaron playthrough coming to a successful ending. And about how much fun I had with it.

I am working on my own personal copy of this for 1.6. If Farmdish does not appear I will see about posting. Its a big update and I am fixing the XML's for formatting as I go. I am using AI to help and that should speed up the process

To be fair, the Humanoid Alien Races mod that this depends on only just updated to 1.6 today.

So, I'd imagine it's going to take a little bit for them to update to 1.6, as well.

Is it possible to edit mod in such way, that it will only add race - without weapons/apparel/etc.?
I know that I need to copy it and install locally, but I don't have an idea which files must be edited/ deleted for that and if it even possible.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I can't seem to change ears, eyes, or tails in Prepare Carefully. The options are there but when I change them it doesn't do anything. Don't know if its something with this mod or Prepare Carefully or something. Anyone else have this issue? and is it Prepare Carefully instead of this one?
