You go to weapons,you will see that the weapon is set to bash (most likely),click the arrow to scroll until you find shoot (picture of a gun will be displayed).Now that you choose shooting you need to choose a projectile that your creation will fire.Type in the thing you want your character to shot.Not all things work well when shot,so you gonna have to experiment with it.
Here are some cool examples:magic,fireball,lightning (this one works well with flying objects)...
You can also set the damage of the weapon (I think max is 100 or 150).
