I'm not sure what you mean. When you select an item, does it select other items as well? If so, they might be grouped and need to be ungrouped.

Hello again, there was a problem with the Hammer. When I want to select an item, the item at the back is selected. Have you had such a situation?

I think it was because I already knew how to build conveyors belts and the same method could be implied.

@ishunn..........When you say "one cube" move through the pipes, I'm assuming it's same as we discussed about cubes in the tubes. If so, you could be missing a couple of things. Make sure the cube is parented by func_tracktrain. Make sure func_tracktrain is assigned to its First Stop Target, which is the path track it's associated with such as the first path track. And with path tracks, each one has to know which one is its Next Stop Target. For example, path01 says "my Next Stop Target is path02, and path02 does the same, etc. The very last path track's Next Stop Target would be path01. However, the first path track is the only one that's flagged for "teleport to this path track". And last but not least, make sure func_tracktrain gets an input of StartForward.

That's to stop an alternate solution. There's a physics blocker there. But it should only enable when the player is there with the cube. I'm not sure what's going on but if you walk away from the "player detect" then back that should cycle it or reset it.

the cube in the exursion funnel/light bridge area refuses to press against the button, no matter what angle, it hovers next to the button. player collision works but no cube.

Yes. I would recommend looking for Tophatwaffle on Youtube. He has good tutorials. Search for "elevators" in his videos. The most important part to watch is making a copy of Base, then putting the copy back in the same place, then changing the copy to Logic. The Base and Logic have to be in the same place.

If I make an elevator half way through the map like an industrial elevator, it works like a lot of other things that are meant to move. That means it's something you would learn as you get better at mapping. But if you mean the arrival elevator at the start, it's a func_instance and you'll find it in the instance folder under "turbine elevator". I sometimes make a copy of the elevator instance and customize it.

@xies........If you mean cubes going through vacuum tubes like in BTS, they work the same way as conveyor belts. It would be like spacing out the conveyor belt sections farther apart and replacing belt sections with cubes. If you go to my profile, click on "view more info" and I have demo maps on Google Drive. They can be opened with Hammer and you can see how they work. Look for "Conveyor Belt Demo".

Hi, I tried to figure it out, nothing worked. !! At your request !! If it's not difficult for you, can you make a tutorial on vacuum tubes on YouTube? those. so that the cubes fly over them or show how it is done in the map itself. as well as the material from which the pipes are made and the metal cube itself. At your request! You will help a lot, I think. Sorry if I'm distracting.

From the levels I tried in the Workshop, this was one of my favourites. It's easier than a lot of the levels I found, but very fun to play. Good job.

Great map but a tiny glitch where dropping the cube into the tractor beam doesn't activate the switch. You need to use the light bridge, place the cube, and then activate the beam.

It would be like spacing out the conveyor belt sections farther apart, but instead of 16 of them, there's only 3. That's about the easiest way I can explain it. And yes, cubes instead of conveyor belt sections. And they would be prop_dynamic. Look for "metal" or "metal box" in the models browser for the cube you want. Also check the Skins tab.

Go to my profile and click on "View more info". Look for "Conveyor Belt Demo". Put the VMF file in its appropriate folder and open it with the Hammer Editor. It's just a matter of using cubes instead of conveyor belt sections and space everything farther apart. And not as many individual objects as well (such as 16 conveyor belt sections vs 3 cubes).

Once you learn how to do it, it's easy. It's just a bit time consuming.
Basically, it's an object moved by an invisible entity (func_tracktrain), and each entity needs a starting reference point. Repeat that process for as many objects you need. Kind of like train cars following the tracks.
