I deleted the .gma and restarted Garry's Mod and my PC, and it didn't work.

@rocko6alex try deleting .gma of this addon from your garrysmod/addons folder and see if it works, because i just downloaded the addon again and everything seems to work fine

I still have the vanilla sounds in my game, it did not replace the footsteps.

check your addons,reinstall them,check sound settings
