Image/embed support?

I can't write in any tabs except "Admins". What could be the reason?

@skyjoshua same problem here, its so frustrating and the only fix ive found is enabling /me feature through ulx and typing /me before every message

I switched my gamemode from darkrp to sandbox and the chat works. So they must have changed something in the latest darkrp update and caused things to not work. It doesn't show any errors in console either.

Doesn't work on my server, but works in single-player with the same mods. At first, I thought it was because I had DLib installed, but I removed that and its files from my server, and it didn't fix the issue, I have uninstalled all my add-ons from my gmod and installed the exact ones my server has, and it works but when I try the exact same thing on my server it doesn't work. The server console can see I'm typing, but the in game chat can not. Admin chat works though, so I don't know what's going on

Dlib is pain, they changed a bunch of hooks stuff. I don't have the time right now to make them work together

It's broken. It won't let me increase the character limit as well as not even letting me chat inside the chat box. It also says that its having trouble with the DLib addon. Can you please fix this issue.

For some reason, the general chat does not work for all players when it's a public server, any reason for this? admin chat does work but the normal one no.

i can only send chat by typing say in console, typing in the chatbox itself and hitting enter doesnt do anything

The [#ff0000] changes the colour of text following it, so you'd do "[#ff0000]howdy pardner". If that doesn't work, it could be a ulx permission issue. Make sure you're either a super admin or you grant your rank the correct permissions in the betterchat category in ulx

colours dont seem to be working when doing [#rrggbb] (yes i was doing [#ff0000]) each colour did display when i typed the name of the colour, for example when i typed Red it would be red but only that word. any ideas on how to fix the [#ff0000] ?

so. i integrated this into my server and my anti cheat detected it as a cheat/exploit and banned me from my server lol, which is no biggie because its easy to unban as a server host... but why is my anti cheat flagging this so hard and what can i do to give this an exclusion?

That'll be per client I'm afraid, you can't currently enforce a font on clients from the server, and that would also be risky as not all systems have the same fonts installed. Linux, for example, doesn't have the default font that windows gmod uses.

Yes! Though there aren't many available due to how gmod handles fonts.
You can go into the Q menu, Options, Better chat, Global settings to pick from a dropdown

Betterchat and advanced dupe 2 dont seem to have any incompatibilities for me

for some reason advdupe2 stopped working on my server and after days of figuring out what it was it turns out it had something to do with better chat? removing it fixed advdupe2... sucks cos I really liked this chat but advdupe2 is simply essential.

You can't even chat in it. Admin chat works alright but a general / all chat where people will be chatting in regularly does not, this addon is currently worthless

also settings do not work for example if i turn off chat popup noise it still does it
