Because what can I say, I'm a Ratchet & Clank fan, even if I didn't really grow up with it.
Also to, all of the weapons here so far are personal favorites of mine from the Ratchet & Clank games. With more planned for the future...
Originally, I made these mods to enhance my experience as a fan of both A Hat in Time and Ratchet & Clank. Even went out of my way to learn how to rip / texture PS2 models. But, released my first one for the heck of it, and then wanted to rip more models.. And, here we are!
Basically, I love A Hat in Time and Ratchet & Clank, and wanted to bring the both together that is not just music or dye mods. But, wanted to bring the actual weapons from the R&C games and actually put them into this game.
But, now I am even looking into other PS2 games, to get more gun models and put them into AHiT.
At the end, I am glad that people like these mods.
This is a game where the most you'll be doing is whacking things with an umbrella (laser badge aside). Why does it need grenade launchers and sniper rifles?
Joking aside, this is really cool and it's suprising not many people have found this.
Thank goodness the guns, that I have ripped so far, were not that hard to rip and fix.
After I make the Plasma Coil, Plasma Storm, I have a "Hat" that I want to complete, another gun I want to get from another game, and possibly finish the Bouncer (Maybe do a 'second' season of my gun mods with the Bouncer being one of the first)
I want to take a mini-break from gun making and go back into map making, I have a level that I have been chipping away at for almost 8 months. I would like to finish it, since I have been working on it for almost a year. A level inspired by my childhood of games, the Holy trinity of the PS2 platforming library and with other games spliced in here and there.
Of course, as of now, if I just randomly figure out how to add PvP mechanics to my guns. The Mini-Nuke and Megarocket Cannon would mop the floor to anyone. I would have to make a lot of damage instancing to make the guns "fair and balanced" and at least have its uses. Or maybe make Online only versions of the guns. Don't know, but if I do figure out how to do Online party related things, I would gladly make my guns kill other online players. While adding maps that is similar to maps found in R&C: Up Your Arsenal's multiplayer.

I guess it won't be like that, the weapons do too much damage in the original game and could overload AHIT, it's just a guess, i like so much your mods <3<3<3<3<3<3<3 sorry my englis not good but y tried :")
To hold your anxiety over, up next from the R&C department of weaponry is either going to be the Bouncer or the Plasma Coil... Most likely the Plasma Coil since that is the most 'complete' gun from the weapons I have been toying around with in AHiT. While the Plasma Coil is almost complete, with balancing being the last big thing left to do and more adding more details of course. The Plasma Storm is a pain in the butt to program into AHiT, but I am making bits of progress with it. Also, I want to try to make the gun barrels spin like it does in the original games, and have that electricity pattern on the claws of the guns.
