It may add the infected, issue is that the mission automatically assigns "CSAT" vehicles and units when an mod lacks the required units.
So you can't really use most factions as this mission somewhat chops them all up.
You'd need a real good and concrete faction with all its units and vehicles prepped. And even then it might not work.
Also, clearly this mission and the OP aren't focused on it anymore.

is it possible you can make a Civil war but with Zombies, going to town to town, and fight zombies.
hope you will look into it one day.
Favorit map, Livonia
I would request trying to make the faction selection and spawning more ubiquitous, like two factions in Independent force against each other. make them spawn in when I approach a sector that is a enemy bastion and not at random times, seems weird walking through a place then having them spawn all around you or behind you. and the support percent I don't quiet get, it goes down whenever I ask the civilian humanitarian aid.
Again, however; all other things are very well made in this mission. Damned shame that the nonfunctioning respawn function limits the fun.

Unfortunately my computer is a bit old and I'm having trouble running the mission, I'm getting no more than 25fps with usual drops to 12-15, when in SP I usually manage to stay between 30 and 40.
Is there a way to configure it to be a bit "lighter" on enemy and civilian units to help improve the performance?
