can you add the option to automatically select a specified food restriction for newly acquired animals? I'm breeding chinchillas here and they multiply faster than rabbits and immediately eat all my lavish meals before I even notice they're there

FWIW, I'm still in the process of finalizing my mod list (180 at the moment and growing), and this mod seems to work fine in 1.2 [i.ibb.co].

Hopefully, it will receive an official update by the mod author soon. Speaking of which, thank you for creating and sharing it with us.

I think it's this mod who show animal's name, even when it's turn off in option, can you fix that please ? (not sure but I just instal it and that work well, just this little desagrement)

not working in 1.2, adds the place in animal tab to change but leaves out the buttons to actually change anything

ZX Zero 18. sep. 2020 kl. 7:08

Sorry for the spam, I would've edited if I could. Appearently the base game doesn't want to give sick animals basic food, they require people food and drugs. I thought Tynan had polished this game off.. Haven't played in a few years.

After disallowing ambrosia I guess the next natural step was beer... Instead of hay and kibble...
Cortec 12. juli 2020 kl. 9:43
Funny... Ambrosia isn't on the list and therefore it's fed to my chickens! To clarify, not the mod's fault, the default food list. I guess my chickens are feasting now. They do have the flu after all....

yep, checking mod conflicts one mod set at a time, and this is fine with fluffy's
Dr@g0n 18. apr. 2020 kl. 19:46
umm does this work with fluffy's animal tab?
rpayne88 5. apr. 2020 kl. 13:03
I'm not getting a food restriction tab. I can set up a food restriction, but I can't apply it to my animals. I have both this and the base mod installed, and this is installed after the base mod.

Awesome, just what I was looking for, thank you

thanks

@Mr-Bandit This mod doesnt handle the food restrictions at all. It just adds the capability to set them from the animal tab.

The "main mod" is the Animal food restriction but apparently, no you cant set a "default" restriction
Mr-Bandit 26. feb. 2020 kl. 3:36
hello, is there any way to make newly tamed animals automatically go to a restriction, to force them off lavish and onto raw for example?
Tommy Gray x Land Raider 24. feb. 2020 kl. 13:37
update for 1.1 plz

Between AnimalFoodRestrictionInTab (plus the base Animal food restriction mod) and Select Multiple Areas, one of you was causing my animals to have NO assigned area. It would show as assigned to an area in the tab, but on the actual mob the allowed area was black (in RimHUD) and the animal wouldn't do any chores. I could fix this by manually assigning a zone on each animal, or do what I did - I removed both mods and the problem went away.

It's nice that this makes it a little more convenient to set Food Restrictions to specific animals, but it's still a chore to set it every time a new animal is born. Any chance a default setting for animals could be configured? And any chance drug restrictions are included?

NoteNote:
also by the way, if i have the pawn rules mod installed instead of "Animal Food Restrictions" as mentioned on the Animal Food Restrictions mod page, will this work on either vanilla or fluffy's animal tab? or will it just not work at all? or will the pawn rules mod do what this mod does?.. sorry it's late and i may not be making much sense, about to go to bed :q
MachoNatchoMan 1. sep. 2019 kl. 19:09
Note: B18, the version where animals eat your colonists prepared meals instead of the hay right next to it, your colonists eat raw meat and corpses instead of the prepared meals and feed your downed animals berries instead of the hay right next to the berries... x,) i hate B18 but i gotta havs my tibbys, gdi and nod laser towers x)
MachoNatchoMan 1. sep. 2019 kl. 19:02
is this compatible with fluffy's animal tab mod? i imagine not but i figure why not ask if not at the very least to request a version for it :q :) if possible, please.
(ps: i am playing B18 atm, maybe untill tiberium mod is updated, so if this is already a thing in said mod for 1.0 then don't mind this comment :p)

I was really annoyed that my animals were content with the harvested crops or finished food, thanks to your mod's history now. About middle game I found him, about 20 animals set and then not seen in. , , , At least twice that is now come to. , , Unfortunately, all with the default setting, so my question is whether it is possible that children adopt the setting of the mother's food? The movement zone also works.

Thanks for the mod regards Holzi
