Tried that, too annoying to figure out where they should each go, and be far away enough that they won't go back.

can you make it so drones will avoid meteor impact sites? ive got a few hundred that ive got to micro manage to keep them from getting squashed

Yeah, this hasn't been update for picard, I'll take a look.

Mostly works as advertised. Unfortunately also stops the rovers which can't be affected by meteor storms, such as those underground, whilst also sending them to some locations. I would venture a guess that it sends them at the same position where on Mars Surface is a Hub+Laser, altho they are underground.

yeh it's great to have dust devils working again but my stupid rovers keep driving directly into them

Run away while preserving their original cmd... maybe
run away and stop sure

can you make them run away and not drive directly into dust devils too?

I tried reproducing it, but it seemed to work okay? If you can get a save even while it's happening that might be enough (or the next person to have this issue).

Sorry, I didn't think to save it at the time. It was only when I was thinking about it in retrospect that I realized it might have been an issue.

You wouldn't happen to have a save from before the expedition arrived?

I had an odd situation with this mod the other day. I was headed on a capture meteor expedition and I got a random meteor shower event before it arrived. When the meteor shower started the Rovers returned to base without issue. But before the event ended, my expedition arrived and triggered the second meteor shower. So it added another couple of days worth of time to the meteor shower, but as soon as the original amount of time for the random event ended the Rovers went back out into the meteor shower apparently unaware the event was still happening. It's only happened once in many hours of play, but I was curious if it was something that was fixable?

Wow, that was quick! Thank you!

done

Will you add nearest drone hub as well? Please :happyelf:
ChoGGi  [ophavsmand] 10. juli 2019 kl. 20:36
Instead of stopping I could make them head for the nearest working laser/missile tower.

Could the other rovers be made to do the 'returning from field' behaviour that the controller does when in auto assist mode? I'm not entirely certain how it selects its target point, but it is likely under your base defences, or at least within range of your drones so they can repair the rover.

If there is an RC garage on the map, the rovers should optionally park there while the meteor storm is ongoing; sheltering underground is likely the safest possible location.

Given the missile defence rovers that come with um. one of the other mods, I forget which, it would probably be best to be able to turn that behaviour off for certain rovers; you don't want your mobile meteor shield to drive away and hide from the incoming meteors, leaving part of your base undefended.

The ideal would be to limit operations to contiguous areas under base defences, but that sounds significantly more complicated to pull off.
