I think this is great, thanks for making it. I wouldn't want to play the game without it!
Lorska  [author] 5 Dec, 2020 @ 6:31am
I was considering making the reduced weight / extra carry bonus based on the item weight exclusively for the lightness variant but the backlash I got was instant and furious. So I didn't ><
Acuru 5 Dec, 2020 @ 6:07am
You can get lightness jewel weighting 35 units, and giving 200 bonus, so you in net gets 165 units. This is still not the greatest ring to have, but it have some niche uses, for example on characters being flying demons (x0.5 carry weight) so you can pack heavier armour on them. And better option would be to just boost bonus provided by this kind of jewel instead of droping weight of all jewels. Also crafting and gathering rings are great to use in villige. Also you can get like ring with Mystic Claw Attack, so you magic characters can have good red challenge option to fight with.

@Acuru
Rings are among the weakest craftable items while weighing almost the same with lightness jewels barely doing anything after subtracting their base weight.
It was mainly for balance reasons.
Acuru 2 Dec, 2020 @ 8:34pm
Yest it makes no sense, alsto that the rings use so many materials compared to other items. But it is for game balance reasons. Some things need to be unrealistic in game, or you will come with unplayable games. You want realistic rpg game? Spend few hours traveling from one villige to another, with mb one or two events, That would make so boring game (but realistic).
TheLoneRanger 21 Mar, 2020 @ 10:59pm
lol. Indeed. :dos2ring:

@Maerwin
Hyperbole.
Also the weight units don't matter. A ring should not be in the same weight class as a full armor set. The main reason for the change is that it made things unnecessarily restrictive, especially lightness variants.
Maerwin 18 Sep, 2019 @ 4:14am
I'm not sure why you consider the weight units in game to be kilograms. It's obviously not. A steel greatsword weighs 200 units. Heaviest historical swords would weigh about 2kg. 200kg sword would be unusable.

Well, usually there were 3, but the audacity of just went abroad and decided to send a solo character :riches::lunar2019grinningpig:

@Dexit86
Lol I guess you can use it as currency. But you should hire some guards for your money transport ;)
Dexit86 23 Aug, 2019 @ 5:54am
No, that’s right. I can just put 100 rings in one rat. Send to another island. Buy the legendary clothes worth 300,000 for this 100 rings that are made of amber + amber. Bring back with imba clothes (for 100 days of the game) - a sword and shield for a warrior.
P.S. Yes, I’ve gotten it over. But only 1 time. The second time the rat died en route =\
Lorska  [author] 23 Aug, 2019 @ 5:05am
@Dexit86
How does that break the economy? All items worth is based on the materials you used. You don't create more value you just make it easier to carry.
Dexit86 23 Aug, 2019 @ 4:59am
Hi, Lorska. Your mod is very good, but it breaks the economy. You can make a lot of jewelry that weigh nothing and sell for a lot of money.
Hit the road with 20 rings = 20,000 currencies and 20 kg (1 tir things).
Khatulistiwa 5 Aug, 2019 @ 9:01pm
This mod add an extra common sense to this game XD
In Vitriol 2 Aug, 2019 @ 6:30am
Ah thankyou i'll try that ;)
Lorska  [author] 2 Aug, 2019 @ 5:57am
@In Vitriol
this seems to be a common problem atm, it seems to come from some corrupt files, as I heard that reinstalling fixes it... None of my mods would be affected by any changes, unless they decide to do something to core database files, and you would immediately notice that. Most likely with some big error message in the main menu. And most mods would be affected by that :/
In Vitriol 2 Aug, 2019 @ 5:53am
Getting an error with the last update. Wondering if it comes from this mod?

' Lack of the enemy group for activatenodeproducedrop without alternative source.'

It happens after event is resolved when the loot reward screen pops up.
SellswordDhampir 21 Jul, 2019 @ 4:34pm
I like this mod. Especially for low strength characters like the Healer or Witch, those trinkets are usually where I can eek out a little more defense when I get the higher tier gear weighing things down.

Great mod loving it, thanks for the work really appreciate it.
Lorska  [author] 30 Jun, 2019 @ 3:34pm
@Steinaar
I don't think it's needed. The main factor in weight is armor, then weapons. You can still only use heavy armor on high str characters or with lightness jewels, medium on medium str or lightness and robes in anyone. The ring weight just made it annoying but didn't really restrict you in any way...
Steinaar 30 Jun, 2019 @ 12:43pm
I happen to agree Lorska, great changes with this mod to balance the weight of jewelry. I never minded the weight for rings to be up to 30 and the necklaces (esp the bone ones etc) to be a bit higher maybe into 40 or 50's but when I get those 100kg rings I couldn't agree more. Unless you're carrying around tokens like witcher series allow you to do, the weight shouldn't be relative, but after adjusting this do you feel the overall weight of characters should also be adjusted to compensate balance?
SFan 29 Jun, 2019 @ 9:17pm
This is a pretty meaningful idea, thank you!:steamhappy:
jesse_mason1 27 Jun, 2019 @ 4:04pm
This is such a great mod. I could not understand why some armor was lighter than rings
Dr. Uncredible 26 Jun, 2019 @ 4:14am
Good mod idea, jewelry weight was frankly absurd.
Eagle 24 Jun, 2019 @ 4:27am
nice
guardianru 22 Jun, 2019 @ 11:52pm

Mods don't affect achievements as far as I know.
blackovanossar 22 Jun, 2019 @ 6:58am
