Could you add in an option that disallows ai from joining factions? I like to setup factions, but every single ai and their mother joins into it. I know that the chaos mod has a button to temporary disable them but its temporary and the ai eventually joins in. In the road to 56 mod theres a feature in the options that does not allow countries to join unless through event, dont know if you could somehow try to replicate that feature.
