I really hope someone picks this up. I hate when my turrets blow through everything I'm trying to salvage to get at a dinky little interior turret.

why is this mod marked obsolete? is there a spiritual successor? The vanilla turret ai is still bugged and practically useless if it did work.

Is this is obsolete, where's the mod that made it obsolete so I can subscribe to it? That way I can tell my turrets which priorities are more important than others

I do not think this script will work for me since the server I play on uses Weapon Core Mod

I hate AI turrets in a way. I mean once the ship is disabled the turrets should stop firing, but noo they keep firing wasting ammo destroying so much of the ship that it hardly even worth going out to salvage it. 95% of what you end up with is steel plates Metal grids and scrap metal

@maxwindude: well, the thing is it *does* appear, at times, on other grids in the same session. Moving ST2 to the bottom didn't change anything for me. As well, ST2 beta does the same thing, at the top or the bottom of the mod list.

Is there a way to have this and weaponcore in my world at the same time? It seem that one will work while the other doesn't.

The UI problem Is most likely a load order problem. Try putting Smart turrets 2 at the bottom of your load order under your weapon mods.

I'm using the beta version, and it also doesn't show up in the UI all the time. restarting/reordering doesn't seem to help. And then suddenly, there's the UI options again for no apparent reason.

The funny thing is, the turrets I have already set to be Smart continue to work, I just can't adjust them or set new turrets to be Smart.

Doesn't show up on any of the weapons mod we use for some reason (MWI, PDC, GH).

Some turrets don't even have the settings for what the mods do, and I am unable to ammo cycle anything in the hotbar or the weapon settings menu. The "obsolete," version doesn't have these issues, although for some reason I think it tanks simspeed.

For those coming around here - this mod only supports Missile turrets and interior turrets. Not Gatling turrets.

Please fix this mod!

This mod has been crashing for me recently. The Smart Turret UI is not showing up in the turrets and whenever there is a storm, it seems to crash. Devs, msg me if you want logs.

Smart turrets dont shoot at spiders for example. So they are not so smart than.

The "smart targeting" is visible only the rocket turrets.

Thanks for the mod. Would it be hard to please break out 'thruster' from functional block? I realise it's included in functional block, but ticking that results in too much other useful stuff getting wrecked.

Not seeing the crashes but I am seeing what dnjuandmrk was, where the options aren't appearing at all. They appear for the interior/small turret but not the larger gatling turret. Haven't tried the missile turrets.

Interestingly, my friend who was playing on the same server _could_ see the options on the large turret. Unclear why it's not appearing on random turrets and not for all payers.

Hello. We have problem with this mod in our multiplayer. Turrets are set correctly according to picture in descriptoin of this mode, but none of our turrets are shooting. In best scenariom turrets destroyed 1 interior turret on ship, but after that all turrets stopped shooting. Any ideas?
Hate vanilla turrets wasting so much ammo and destroying our base.. Thank you for replies.

it looks to me that the targetting range is bugged, i have it at 600M (even changed it to 0 and then back to 600) but it only shoots when te rarget is less then 200M away.

This mod blocks the ability to use "controll" on modded turrets, and for some reason interior turrets but not normal gattling or missile turrets

It no longer adds the additional options to the terminal of turrets for some reason. If you have a blueprint of a grid with turrets that have it active, it seems to work, but there is no way to adjust it or turn it off. If you build a turret you can't use it at all. I have tested this in multiple survival and creative worlds. Please fix! I use this mod religiously to prevent my turrets from destroying my stuff!

can it shoot blocks with no computer components? I'm looking for things that can help against people dropping a huge amount of block frames on static bases and since turrets cant target them, its a free kill

Starting to have targeting problems too. Having issue targeting spiders and such. If I remove it (make a vanilla turret) no problem. Enable ST and it wont shoot the spiders. This is on the small point defense turrets. The large gatling turrets do fine :/
