sounds good I can wait :)

@Keff: I definitely plan on building a ship with an onboard car, but it'll have to wait until I realize my road system concept, which I have already thought through, but there are like 10 other projects stacked in front of that. I already have a train ferry ship and a train ferry hovercraft. I guess these could be easily modified to carry cars, for people who can't wait...

just an idea but what about a car carrier version ?
Master Sheesh 30 Aug, 2019 @ 3:49pm
ok thx

@металл-NCS: no, it utilizes floating platforms. I think they're under the utilities tab, if unlocked...

im new here... is this a hover vehicle? idk if i can even build a boat.
ymrich  [author] 6 Aug, 2019 @ 3:35am
@kronusxxx, yes, like any other vehicle. I might add a wHO drive in a later version, but due to the number of blocks, this will probably have significant impact on FPS...
Lord Kronus 6 Aug, 2019 @ 2:59am
this ship can be accelerated by wheels

@Menzagitat: yes, that sounds about right. I've noticed this phenomenon, in other vehicles, too. Removing the hinge, though, would significantly detract from the visual appeal of the ship, in my opinion. So, I guess, if people find these posts, they can remove the hinge themselves, or, hopefully, one day Craneballs will fix this issue, or maybe the Unity Developers, if it's something inherent to the component. As for me, I prefer just to anchor the ship and save-load when the impulse occurs. I just really like don't like compromising on the looks, that's sort of my trademark >D Thanks for noticing, though!
Menzagitat 25 Jun, 2019 @ 9:49am
The capsizing is caused by that hinge which holds the conveyor at the top, near the radar.
The hinge itself has this property, to generate forces.
And since February, it also gives a strong impulse when the physics is activated.
ymrich  [author] 15 Jun, 2019 @ 4:40am
Also, save-loading stops the constant forward movement.
ymrich  [author] 15 Jun, 2019 @ 4:40am
@Erdenstern: Yes, it's the broken physics. Other ships will also capsize if you go out of and back into physics range, trains will derail, helicopters will drop, I wonder if this will ever be fixed. What I do, when I need to leave the vicinity of the ship, is anchor it in the bottom of the sea using 7x1x1 wall blocks...

Somehow, if I go away more than 100m and then come back, the ship now moves forward on it's own at about 5,3kph and sometimes it just plays Titanic ...
