If you have BNW you should always use the BNW version (not just with my mods but almost all authors). BNW was the last expansion and includes all the mechanics of GK, so mods made for BNW are usually more up to date and utilize mechanics only found in the final game.

Is There Any Major Difference Between The Brave New World Version And The Gods And Kings Version? I Have Both Expansions And I'm Wondering Which Version To Get.

The BNW version does. I haven't been able to update the GK version to do so as GK version of the modbuddy files are on a different computer at the moment. It will still work with Ekmeks leader scene, though, you just need to download it off civfanatics.

Sounds good! And, does this use the 3D Mansa Musa by Ekmek?

I'm sure in the developers eyes Songhai was meant to be the Mali replacement. They have similiar representation in that one conquered the other so they cover a lot of the same geography. However, Songhai and Mali were two completely seperate empires centered on two different ethnic groups. The overlap is really no more than a lot of the included European civs, and I felt civ could use some more African representation.

Isn't Songhai supposed to represent Mali? Just out of curiosity.
Good mod though.

Ive always wanted Mali back.

Civ 5 needs it back for real. Looks cool. Just remembered that the Mali most likely beat Columbus to the New world. Mansa Musa's Predecessor went with a fleet of like 300 ships that allegedly sailed to South America.

Well done

Okay awesome, thanks. I just tried this mod out, and it is fantastic! Mansa Musa is now my favorite civ leader! Thanks so much!

Subscribing above should automatically download it. There is a bug with the Steam Workshop were it sometimes does not automatically download mods. I usually fix this by unsubscribing, and them re-subscribing in-game from the mods menu, waiting a minute or so for the download to click. If that doesn't work you can always download/install the mod manually from:

How do I get it to start downloading? And great civ, I am glad to see you have done your homework on Mali lol. Some of these civilizations that people are making have off the wall UAs that have nothing to do with that particular Civilization/Leader lol.

Its a possibility in the future. I'm working on a South East Asian civ at the moment. After I'm done I've been thinking of doing one in the Americas as I haven't made an American civ yet.
