No problem. I'm glad you got it to work some way or another.

I've fixed switching to "custom heresy" mod. This also modifies reformation requirements and I've just also modified its defines.lua to decrease moral authority required (is set on 40% on custom heresy). I'm sorry if I had to use another mod ahahah
Bio the Human 14. jan. 2023 kl. 3:52
I only had "Everyone can navigate rivers" and "immerions christian" that were religious mod, but I removed them and nothing changes. I check if it work through console. I give religion and piety, but the button of reformation always require holy sites and moral auhority. I tried to let some time pass after cheat, but nothing :/

Sorry, it's been almost 4 years since I last touched this mod and almost as long since I touched CK2, so I'm unsure whether one of the free-to-play updates might have broken it, but in theory at least it shouldn't have. Do you use any other mods that could conflict with it?
Bio the Human 11. jan. 2023 kl. 12:42
It doesn't work for me...
Scullex 1. dec. 2022 kl. 1:08
Stellaris time
Atlan the Atlarch 16. juli 2021 kl. 13:12
You earned my respect back, but I am more of a CK2 player... I play without mods to do achievements lately though so... no worries... have fun with mods for stellaris!
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2021 kl. 9:55
I'm not playing much CK3 either. These days I mostly play and mod Stellaris.
Atlan the Atlarch 16. juli 2021 kl. 9:52
I stopped playing CK3 after launching it the first time... It just doesn't compare...
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 13. juli 2021 kl. 20:05
Never. I stopped playing and modding CK2.
Cugitay 13. juli 2021 kl. 16:18
HIP patch when :(
Braskan, the Void's Tear 13. juni 2021 kl. 18:35
dosen't work with rise to power
Atlan the Atlarch 2. mar. 2021 kl. 3:46
@Dragatus I must say that's sad, as I do not like CK3... everything in there is made worse than in CK2...
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 1. mar. 2021 kl. 12:23
They know how to mod this stuff so if they wanted it done like this in HIP they would've implemented it themselves. Also, now that CK3 is out I'm more or less done modding CK2.
Atlan the Atlarch 1. mar. 2021 kl. 5:58
I think if @Dragatus wants to make it HIP compatible, the easy way is to ask the HIP team to add your code to their main mod... Easy way is not always best, or possible, but that is the easy way (knowing how modding works)
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 15. okt. 2020 kl. 0:54
Ah, that. I made some attempt to add certain dependencies on some of my mods, but somehow never quite got it to work.
lalarukh3 14. okt. 2020 kl. 21:17
Make this mod a dependent of HIP so that it takes precedence? Sorry, my CK2 modding knowledge is rather limited...
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 13. okt. 2020 kl. 21:23
What do you mean by "add a dependency"?
lalarukh3 13. okt. 2020 kl. 15:41
Wouldn't it be possible to jut add a dependency?
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2020 kl. 15:53
Well, theoretically no special patch should be necessary, just this mod loading after HIP. Not sure how to ensure that though.
Mud 10. apr. 2020 kl. 9:52
compat patch for HIP?
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 19. mar. 2020 kl. 0:09
It's in the defines. You can download the manual installation version and check the file in that to see exactly what.
lake chud 18. mar. 2020 kl. 19:40
Hey, can you tell me how to modify the reformation requirements? What file I need to edit?
zlatky 12. sep. 2019 kl. 11:41
@Dragatus: You are a LIFE-SAVER man! Thanks again for all the guidance / help fixing my "mods-mess", lawl! \m/\m/ 8-)
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2019 kl. 10:44
It turned out there was a conflict with HIP.
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2019 kl. 10:05
But it is possible to send images directly to Steam friends.
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2019 kl. 10:03
I meant to upload it to imgur or similar site and post a link in a comment.
zlatky 12. sep. 2019 kl. 9:33
I have taken a ss, yes...But I dunno how I can post it in this thread. I have send you a fr. req. here in steam. Perhaps I can send it to you through a pm? Is it possible?
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2019 kl. 7:43
That's very strange. The only logical explanation I can think of is that some other mod is interfering. Can you make an in-game screenshot and post a link to it here?
zlatky 11. sep. 2019 kl. 23:24
Ok, so we are like...half-way there now!...:

After numerous, unsuccessful, tries, I finally made this mod to work by installing it manually (from the link above). *HOWEVER*!...When I started a new campaign, and checked the religious reformation prerequisites, the game now demands of me to have a 2,5k piety "stash" *AND* to own 4 (...) Holy Sites!...

...So, unless you did some recent changes, and something got messed up, any ideas on what might be wrong? :-/
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 11. sep. 2019 kl. 3:55
Sometimes mods don't get downloaded properly. Try unsubscribing and then subscribing again and enabling the mod in the loader. If that still doesn't work try the manual download. If you get stuck on any step let me know and I can give you more detailed instructions.
zlatky 11. sep. 2019 kl. 2:05
Downloaded your mod, started a new campaign, and when I went to the religion tab and checked the reformation prerequisites there, nothing changed: The game still demands of me 4 holy sites+ the relevant piety (cant remember the number by heart now, but anywayz), in order for the reformation of the faith to be enabled!...

...Am I missing something here, or what?... :-/
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2019 kl. 2:54
Yes, it should be compatible with 3.2 as well as older versions of the game. The mod is very small, it only changes a few defines.
Cootrap 20. aug. 2019 kl. 15:52
Is this compatible with 3.2?
The Real Ememci 20. juni 2019 kl. 9:09
So it turns out that my problem was that Steam auto-downloaded a broken .zip file version of this mod instead of something that isn't compressed into nothingness; anybody having my problem should download the zip file in the link he just provided, unzip that, and put the unzipped contents into your Crusader Kings II folder in the Paradox Interactive folder in My Documents, and it should work.
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 19. juni 2019 kl. 23:11
I uploaded a manual install download to my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sra5uaqu9eay248/CK2PietyBasedReformation.zip?dl=0

If it's Steam messing up the installation, that should allow you to bypass it.
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 19. juni 2019 kl. 23:07
The screenshots work. It's a mystery why the mod doesn't though. It works fine for me. The only possible reason I can think of is that something went wrong with the installation.
The Real Ememci 19. juni 2019 kl. 10:31
Here are some screenshots of what I was trying to explain (if they'll work, at least) :

A blob is a very big realm. Think the Abbasids or a successful Charlemagne in 769 or the Mongols when they work as intended. Blobbing is the act of swallowing your neighbors in order to become bigger, so that you can swallow bigger neighbors.
Outrageddeer020 17. juni 2019 kl. 19:51
Whats a blobby conqueror?
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 12. juni 2019 kl. 21:03
That's really strange. None of the updates should have affected it. Thanks for the warning, I'll check it out when I get some more free time.
The Real Ememci 12. juni 2019 kl. 16:22
The mod suddenly became outdated; I had a bit of trouble auto-installing it (manually did it after enough fury from it not showing up), yet despite your May 31st update, there's been a 3.2.1 Patch on June 4.

It's an interesting concept, since I usually make "save scenarios" for worldbuilding purposes, yet this particular mod's description describes an invaluable mod-choice for such a venture.
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 5. juni 2019 kl. 20:48
So far it hasn't.
Teralitha 5. juni 2019 kl. 15:14
Yeah you are probably right. 2500 might even be too much for the AI to ever get in a lifetime. Has it ever happened in your test games?
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 5. juni 2019 kl. 13:09
Yes, but the AI would need to get 2500 Piety and I don't think that's very likely.
LNSS 5. juni 2019 kl. 12:42
Interesting mod, will try out. But doesn't this mean you can have the AI reform the faith before you ?
Teralitha 3. juni 2019 kl. 12:11
Well, I do make custom rulers and give them all the piety generating traits, as well as have my priest generating more. Zealous Trait, content, couple others. Starting at age 16, and I did the reformation somewhere around age 50. But, I also had spent a fair bit of piety on other things, and lost the zealous trait somewhere in my 30's.

I suppose if you are playing a vanilla ruler you might not get there so quick. In the vanilla game, getting a reformation for most pagan religions is nearly impossible, or just a real pain in the ass. This mod certainly makes it easier.
Dragatus  [ophavsmand] 3. juni 2019 kl. 10:54
I dropped the MA requirement because I didn't want religious reformation to rely on conquest and raiding.

Thanks for the feedback about the required Piety. Were you doing anything special to collect it so easily?
Teralitha 1. juni 2019 kl. 23:19
n a different point. I did a play today and did the reformation with the new requirements. My feedback is thus, 2500 piety seems a little too easy. I think it should be a bit more. Maybe 3k.
Teralitha 1. juni 2019 kl. 23:18
I think you have missed the point. But ill try again. has MA been removed from the game by your mod? I didnt really pay attention to that. But I assume it doesnt. I get why you changed the requirements for holy sites, but why remove the MA requirement entirely. Im not asking you to debate it, Im asking you to explain why you removed MA as a requirement in its entirety, as opposed to reducing it, because it doesnt make any sense.

I am not suggesting to keep MA at 50% btw, Maybe just 20%
