I'm getting crazy famerate drops with this mod the more I explore a map. Could it be because I have worldcache on? Is there a way to fix it?

You need to install the stardust core lite mod. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2512589532
Previously you would need the quickbar mini mod, but as it says, it is deprecated, and it says stardust core lite is the new version.

Someone seems to have already asked about this a while back, but I'll revive the question: would it be possible to have the window position and the non-block display options save, so that when i accidentally press escape out of habit, I don't have to move the window and press three things again and again?

如何使用。
1. 打开快捷栏
2. 打开Rexmeck Minimap
3. 在地图上按住不放可以平移
4. Alt 点击重置位置。
5. 将鼠标悬停在一个实体上以了解详情

特点
- 实体跟踪(只有在实体有UniqueId的情况下)
- 最小化地图本身

>>如果没有定义颜色,Minimap会从材质配置和纹理中猜测块的颜色。这将导致滞后峰值。

@MithranArkanere The ESC thing is inavoidable and unfixable. Limitation of the lazy, poorly documented, and really terrible API modders have to deal with. As it is, I understand Rexmeck had to use some rather "hacky" and convoluted Rube Goldberg methods to bring this project as far as he did. Probably not something that will ever be fixed unless CF magically decides to fix or replace the API. Not something I'd hold my breath waiting for. Unless your intent is self-forever-sleep. :steammocking:

Questions:
Are you caching the color for each tile encountered on the world, or polling it for each tile as encountered?

that just boils down to optimization of starbound as a game / the mod, and your cpu power.

At zoom level 0.125x the game turns into a slideshow and stops responding.

I zoomed out to far and the mini-map locked the game. Now when ever I open it, it locks the game. Is there anyway to reset it back to default state? I tried removing it and re installing it but the settings were persisted. I also tried looking through the game files for config file or something but couldn't find anything.

Would it be possible to add a toggle to collapse the settigns with the checkboxes and text, leaving just a square?

Maybe also a setting to make it ignore Esc so it doesn't close when closing other windows?

hey everyone, if you're wondering about the lag thats because some custom tiles are not color defined anywhere. using a large map cause big lag.

hey, to reduce lag(the lag everyone else is talking about, I haven't tested the mod yet) make it so that the minimap is affected by light, instead of all bright

Quickbar mini is already listed in the required items section on the right, a feature intended to solve just that issue.

The most useful mod I have ever used for exploration, great job! Just add in the fact that this mod requires a mod that adds in the quick bar tab to your description (as well as a link to it).

it depends on how much chunk has been queried. i left it off by default because public server owners would complain this mod being used by multiple users.

Hi. A feature that was lost in the update is that the mini map is no longer saved. What I mean by that is that if I draw it, then quit the game, then log back in, the drawn minimap will be gone. Was that intentional?

also CF will not guarantee modding features to be added by the modding community requests. we're stuck doing very hacky things that abuses some api functions rendering sometimes unstable.

Regarding Civil's question and Rex's answer: Unfortunately, the modding API apparently sucks donkey balls. And their UI is rather asinine and lazy in certain ways. The escape thing is one of my biggest pet peeves. It's a darn awesome game, with mods that are even MORE awesome. But they have, if anything, made the UI and controls WORSE, not better (even to the point of removing the very limited config editing options that the game had for properly mapping mouse 4 and 5), and can't be bothered to provide a properly fixed fully functional modding API. It's really a crying shame.
