If I understand this Mod correctly, certain traits are passed down patrileneally. Does this happen in the Vanilla version of the game, or just in the Mod?

So if a Ruling Family's king has "Skepticism" as a personal trait (like some game characters do), then this is passed down to all sons?

I am guessing that the answer is No, and that all that Bloodline traits do is make certain bonuses appear and share automatically between all characters in a family, like giving an Omen power bonus to Zadokite family members in Judea.

I appreciate that perhaps you do not want to come back to imperator for sometime as a lot of people still don't like the game. I have linked this version of the mod in the description of my updated version, because you deserve the credit as the OG creator. I would be honoured if you would add me as a friend so that I can give you maker status on the updated mod, with no obligation to do any work xD until you come back. Bloodlines 1.4 version is always on the most popular list so I think its good for you to be there as a maker of the mod until you come back at least.

Hello my friend! As you know I have sourced you as the original creator of the mod but there have been some other people who have no contributed to the updated version of the mod. One person has done simplified chinese localisation and another has redone all the icons to be unique as well as providing me with russian localisation.

There have been some under the hood changes that you might also like, I have wrote events to give bloodlines to all game generated characters which the game would not automatically do.

ok max, I will update it for 1.4 xD
MAX  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 4:29am
@Master_of_Experts
I haven't really touched Imperator since last summer, so don't really know if I'll come back to it anytime soon. Maybe for 1.4, but most likely not. You are welcome to update and develop this in anyway you wish.
II_Paulus_II 24 Mar, 2020 @ 6:30pm
@max, what's the story for 1.4? Let me know if you come back for 1.4 xD

R.I.P Bloodlines mod
Apparently the author abandoned this mod since this mod hasn't been updated in months
II_Paulus_II 14 Feb, 2020 @ 6:11pm
Hello lad, Do you mind if I update this mod for 1.3. Should not be too much work. If you don't respond I will make but acknowledge u. Also link back here. If you come back to mod imperator I will stop.
II_Paulus_II 12 Feb, 2020 @ 9:46am
Atilar, some things in this mod have been shagged by 1.3 - specifically his addition of bloodlines for roman families. The great families change would ruin his mod for rome anyway.
Atilar 12 Feb, 2020 @ 12:14am
Would you kindly update this mod?I like it sooooo much
Atilar 12 Feb, 2020 @ 12:09am
oh plz update !
Neo 27 Dec, 2019 @ 9:39pm
The Zadokite king is not considered part of the Zadokite great family
Vlas 22 Dec, 2019 @ 1:24am
Still works without update
Уберите Из Мута 15 Dec, 2019 @ 7:08am

Update for Livy? Awesome mod
Landstander 15 Nov, 2019 @ 7:13pm
so for some reason today the mod stopped working. lol i have it on but its not laoding in my saves or anything
MasterOfGrey 11 Nov, 2019 @ 12:06am
Hi Mate, unless you forgot to update the tooltip, "Blood of Antigonos" is still patrilineal only.
Ghost 6 Nov, 2019 @ 10:23am
First of all thanks for your great mod.
I just ran into a problem tho.
When i play as Epirus the bloodline "pyrrhus" won´t be passed on to the children.
It´s the only one i noticed so far where it happens. It works fine with the Agiads of Sparta for example.
Danken Duncan 3 Nov, 2019 @ 5:47am
Hey, great mod. Two thins I noticed though:
I started as Atropatene and none of my children had the Atropates bloodline. As far as I know none of them are autogenerated. (?) When I finally managed to get two kids - a boy and a girl - only the boy inherited the bloodline.

Also, the bloodline of Brennus is not present at the start of the game for the ruler of Senonia - I don't think it's in at all at the moment.
MAX  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 5:01am
@Rune Trantor
It does alter the default ones by adding new effects to the traits, while also adding new traits.
@Sxuld
That's outside the purview of my mod.
Sxuld 29 Oct, 2019 @ 1:27pm
Is there a way to change Pyrrhus starting ambition?
Rune Trantor 29 Oct, 2019 @ 11:33am
Ah, so your mod doesnt alter the base ones but add new versions on top?

So in theory I may be able to find a modded bloodline among all the default ones?
MAX  [author] 29 Oct, 2019 @ 5:31am
Unfortunately, I have now noticed that some if the default bloodlines aren't being inherited as intended. I am working on a fix but no ETA at the moment. Their effects, however, are untouched and the bloodlines added by the mod, work as intended.
Rune Trantor 28 Oct, 2019 @ 5:25pm
Is there any incompatibilities?

I have it on and the Phrygia blood, Antigonos or whatever is patrilinear only.
MAX  [author] 23 Oct, 2019 @ 1:39am
No that's a bug, thanks for pointing it out.
Vlas 22 Oct, 2019 @ 8:50pm
Great mod btw
Vlas 22 Oct, 2019 @ 8:50pm
Is there any particular reason Blood of Lysimachus is only patrilineal?
MAX  [author] 9 Oct, 2019 @ 1:55am
Thanks for pointing that out.
II_Paulus_II 8 Oct, 2019 @ 3:00pm
Hey Max I had a look in your character setup file tonight because I wanted to start a new game as syracuse with your excellent mod. At the very bottom of the file where you made the 4 Brennus family characters you have given them ID's that are already used by macedonian characters which is why the family brennus has 2 members that have macedonian parents xD
II_Paulus_II 7 Oct, 2019 @ 8:34am
This is weird, i re-tested everything standalone and it doesn't do what I said. I used your mod with the UI mod some map modding and then somethings that I did myself and in my own setup I have made my loyal cohorts remain permanently loyal to the son of the king.

Your mod doesn't do that so don't go down a rabbit hole.

I did however discover a bug. Your Family Brennus - some of them are the sons and daughters of macedonian characters. Something maybe in the character setup file.

II_Paulus_II 7 Oct, 2019 @ 7:18am
No, I meant if you changed rules about inheriting cohorts/holdings/gold?
MAX  [author] 7 Oct, 2019 @ 6:47am
I did make inheritance both matrilineal and patrilineal if that's what you mean.
II_Paulus_II 7 Oct, 2019 @ 5:37am
Hi Max, did you change anything about inheritances. When I played a normal playthrough, my kings loyal cohorts would only be inherited by my son 50% of the time. When I used bloodlines it changed to 100% and I don't know why.
John Helldiver 4 Oct, 2019 @ 1:40am
Oh right, for some reason I had to resubscribe to it... Sorry about the confusion :>
MAX  [author] 4 Oct, 2019 @ 12:58am
That's intentional, there are like 20 of them and it would be a mess otherwise, so not changing that.
MensIuguolo 3 Oct, 2019 @ 9:45pm
SO, why make the roman minors patrilinial only? Any chance of an "everything is bothlinial" version?
MAX  [author] 3 Oct, 2019 @ 1:58pm
It's been updated already.
John Helldiver 3 Oct, 2019 @ 1:30pm
Hey there, any chance this would receive an update, now that 1.2 is completly out?
NinjaPlease 24 Aug, 2019 @ 2:43pm
@pwt4397 Ceasar nor Scipio exist at game start. no reason to put that in if there's no known bloodline they hail from in game. Maybe if there was a later start point we can pin point it to, but there isn't.
pwt4397 15 Aug, 2019 @ 8:30pm
could we maybe have Blood of Caeser and Blood of Scipio?
Staffy50 6 Aug, 2019 @ 5:13am
Cool mod, hope they add something like this, looking forward to when you have it for 1.2x
MAX  [author] 5 Jul, 2019 @ 9:36am
@Башня тонкого юмора
Not at the moment no
@Landstander
Blood of Argead is unique as it is the only one that is both matrilineal and patrilineal in the base game
Landstander 5 Jul, 2019 @ 5:56am
so i found out you can get other bloodlines without mod. did it in my macedon game. got the agread bloodline added to mine now. no mods
Bencir783920 4 Jul, 2019 @ 8:11am
Hi dude! Will you update it to Cicero patch? It's in open beta now! :thronescommander:
Bencir783920 28 Jun, 2019 @ 7:02am
Idk why but in my camp bloodlines do not inherit....
(HG)Lord Kain Artlas Shaikan 27 Jun, 2019 @ 8:43am
in Cartago, the family hanno as merchants?
MarkJerue 26 Jun, 2019 @ 10:35am
To my surprise this mod works totally-fine for me postpatch. It even works on an old save from pre-patch, AND even works despite my sticking all of Traits Reworked into it.

On an unrelated note, Bloodlines+ and Traits Reworked can be compatible if you take all the text from Traits Reworked and paste it into your mod. :) Traits Reworked doesn't touch the history files, so it only took me 2 or 3 minutes.
