Yes, it has been a long time since I last updated this project unfortunately
I'm currently fighting with myself if, because I feel more and more like the RPG Maker gives me more rocks to stumble over...
And I'm kinda like "Do I finish it here and go on later in another engine, or do I scrap the whole thing and start over directly"
First one would be the easiest, but more unsatisfactory way todo it - and vice-versa.
Also, I don't just wanna slap some stuff together...I still want it to be well made and interesting to play.
That, and my new job, are the main reasons why I haven't updated the project recently...
I probably said it many times, but seeing as a stranger is still interested in this project really gives me the strength to move on!
Maybe I just made up my mind though! The story would probably play long after the conclusion of this one, but maybe with similar Threats...after all, there is a reason why the Clockwork-Realm keeps coming back...
Oh my gosh, I'm sooooo sorry!
I just saw your comment now!
I was able to make some progress, but I really, really wanted to add some parallx-mapping and thats something that unfortunately needs A LOT of time
Before I upload a new build, I kinda want to finish the first real dungeon, the "Kalata-Mines".
There is a video on my Youtube-Channel, showing some parts of it, but after re-evaluation, I want to redo most of the stuff shown there (Thats why I didn't add the video here)
If you still wanna check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt6vc1ZItDs
Once I got the time to clean up things and finish the damn thing (because it's a HUGE Map, with a lot of stuff to explore) then I upload the build + a video of it on my Channel.
Unfortunately though, I currently can't say when this will happen...
But I'm trying my best!
Thanks for the support <3
It's what keeps me going
I hope you will enjoy it
And hopefully I can get another update out shortly
Should you have issues whit downloading the project let me know via Comments or DM
Hope you all enjoy ~
Hey there bud ~
To be honest with you, there was a time we've dropped the project because time and other reasons. And, at least for me, I didn't know when I would have the strenght to keep going with it.
But seeing your comment, asking if the project is still alive and being worked on...it really gave the motivation to keep moving on!
I unfortunately don't know if I updated the version here with the latest version I have, but seeing my patchnotes I think I haven't...
Regardless, I will first progress the story a bit further and make some fine-tuning changes once again (Our list of things to-do/fix doesn't really get any shorter
So once again, I just wanted to thank you for your comment from the bottom of my heart!
Seeing someone still interested in our project really makes me happy
i sure hope it is
Thank youuuuu as always for your support
keep up the fantastic work its gonna be an amazing game for sure
Should you have issues whit downloading the project let me know via Comments or DM
Hope you all enjoy ~
The project is not dead
Hopefully we can update the build soon.
I'm glad
Hey there buddy ~
I'm veeeeeeery very sorry for not updating this long
RL has taken some bad hits on my, which made it nearly impossible to get something done the last few weeks when I was about to start up again
But no, it's definitly not a dead Project, I would be mad at myself I would let that Project slip tbh
I was also thinking alot about the game recently and you may expect some changes in the Gameplay, mostly the Battlesystem probably
Also it made me really, really happy to see that there is someone who cares for our (mine and SteelGram's) Project
Hope I can keep up the work from now on again, to make something for everyone to enjoy
Yeah, sure it is
At the moment I just dont have the time for it
Hopefully that will change shortly and I can release a bunch of new Story and Interactions!
I encounterd that bug myself, but since it happens sometimes for me that the whole Maker just crashes when I open the DB and it only happens one time for me that the game crashed, I thought it's only a Problem for me.
Please pm me for the details
Many thanks for your feedback!
The Questbook IS in fact accessible at the Moment you obtain it. It's just not shown in the Menu because you get a Key-Item named "Questlogbook" in your Inventory, which you can open/access
Yes, the typos...
I'm from Switzerland, so my native language is German
When the game is finished though, I let it play from some friends which are better in english than I am, so I can erase most typos at that point
As the resolution, I'm using 1280x800 (through Yanfly's CoreEngine)
Thats why some assets may look "wrong" since I didn't "remade" them to fit my format yet (If you should encounter something like that).
Most Assets like the UI however, are remade to fit the resolution (GIMP4Ever
It would have been nice to have the controls for the game expressed at one point. I sorta expected the questbook to be available when I first picked it up, but my guess you had the menu access disabled until the first quest was complete. Also a few typos, but I see you might be translating to another language (based on the save screen I saw).
What resolution did you use for your project? I just noticed the assets looker crisper than the standard format.
Yes, I know thats a thing whit the Chibi-Charas
But to be honest, I dont have in mind to change ~
Still, thanks for the Feedback as always
No, Battles are not implemented yet.
I did some work in the DB (Creating Skills as well as some custom animations) but didn't implement anything battle related in the Project itself so far.
And yes! The stances will take (or should at least) a big Role in Battle since for Michelle, the Stance you're in determines which Skills you can use (As you may have seen)
For Ayako at the other hand (I dont think you could test that in the Battletest) you have to "Attune" her to an Element (Water, Fire, Wind, Earth) before Battle so she can use the Skills of said Element.
In case of Water, she will gain Healing Abilitys for the Party or for Wind she gains Skills to Debuff the Enemy and Buff the Party.
So every Attunement has a different Playstyle and place in Battle
Yes, it hard sometimes to keep ones motivatet, if you work alone on a Project, since everthing just takes so much time
Good thing for me is, that I have very good Assisting Director, who helps me out in things like story and stuff or sometimes also für some adjustments in Tilesets
Very good Mapping and custom UI.
But the standart chibi-characters are way to small campared to a lot of Items
in the environment like desks, chests or shelfs imo.
I havent't found any battles so far so i tried them via the Battletest in the Maker.
The Stances seem interesting. I would like to see such a system in a later version
when the battles are fully polished.
Good job so far. A really promising project.
i had to drop my game project a year ago i got to overwhelmed with the scope of the project i was doing being a solo dev didn't get me to far
Many thanks, I'm kinda flattered
Yes, I guess it will take some time still, but I will try to update as much as possible owo/
@Rikkutoa1
That would be great! However, I guess I will use many of aekashics Battler
Nonetheless, I would love to check out your sprites if thats ok!
Maybe you got something that catches my Eye
I can't wait for this to be fully completed. Might take alot of time, but it'd probably be one of the coolest RPG Maker Games that I personally know of.
Ohhh, i'm so soooooorry
Sure, I uploaded it again, so NOW it should work
Many thanks for letting know!
(I added it to the descripton, but please dont expect too much story so far, since I mainly work alone on the Project and I HATE Mapping
Many thx for your Feedback (=^w^=)
I made an Update whit the new Maps (since the old ones are just...ugly xD
Of course the Inn needs a revamp too, and a lot of the Buildings are not finished yet, but I believe it should look way better now.
Also the Forest (Path to the Mountain) has had a great rework so far.
