Sorry for the bump but does the mod only work for the armies?
I downloaded it cause I had trouble with other places of the UI like the time speed indicators below the date like this one [imgur.com].
Does the mod change that as well? I was mainly looking for a higher contrast in those colors, I cannot say whether game is at 1 speed or 3 or 5 speed....

@servusDei: I used paint.net , it can natively open the dds files imperator uses. Navigate the the folder where your the mod is, probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\859580\1724336832, and edit the three dds files whose name start with 'army'. What I did was selecting the top rectangle and using 'Adjustments->Brightness / Contrast' I made the top one a bit brighter, you can see the result in my post of yesterday down here. To make sure your changes aren't overwritten when this mod is updated, you can make it into your own mod, and the Imperator tools make that rather convenient. Open the Imperator launcher, and under the Mod section click Mod tools. Then create your own mod, give it a name and specify the directory it should be in. Go to this dir (it's under Documents/Paradox Interactive) and copy the changed contents of the original mod there.

It is better, but how to do change colors in general, to tweak until we can tune it to our specific type of colorblindness please? Is it hard?

That makes sense, changing them isn't that difficult.

@Meertn yeah there should just be a UI in game that lets you mess with colors, but at least this is iron man compatible and edits are pretty easy :). Maybe I should add to my description telling people how to edit the colors if my changes aren't sufficient?

Well, I tried a few combinations, you don't have to make the green as bright as I did, and if you make the red darker, you can leave it darker still. As a general test, if you change the colors to gray scale and can still see the difference, anyone should be able to see some difference. Why paradox can't do this themselves is beyond me.

@Meertn Yeah I don't believe the bottom one is used for anything. Make you change a couple other files in that folder, there are two more that matter. So you just made the green color more bright I guess? That could work but that might look too similar to the white for me haha

My man, works perfectly for me. Thanks for making this so quickly.

The way I changed is like this: https://ibb.co/mcpBdB1 . I haven't touched the bottom one, I'm not sure what kind of unit it is for, I can't really see the difference between that one and the enemy one.

How do you guys suggest editing it? I guess maybe I could make a different version of the mod with a blue - yellow scheme?

thanks for this mod, I am having a hard time trying to identify neutral / enemy forces

Thanks for creating this so quickly. For now, the colors you chose don't work for me yet (red/green colorblind), but your mod made it easy for me to see what does. I made the green color a lot brighter (brightness 45 in paint.net) which does the trick for me.

wouldn't it be better to use blue and yellow instead? Since green-red is the most common colorblindness. This is how it looks in Photoshops' colorblind mode: https://imgur.com/9KH3PZV.png

Giving it a go Isaac I was going to do this myself this morning so thank you.:steamhappy:

If anything else needs to be changed to be colorblind friendly, let me know and I'll change it
