It was a long while ago that I modded or even played this game but I seem to recall I used ListenForEvent on the oneatsomething event, and events are global so you can listen for it in the modmain.
Oh and a good way of checking if code doesn't work or simply isn't called is to test it with simple functions such as printing a message on the ingame screen.

So.. I wanted my character to poop special things and I thought of you. How do I trigger the 'eat' event? I can't seem to get anything to notice my character eating something, tried OnEat, oneatfn, oneatsomething nothing works, I can't tell if its even starting the function. Also should it be in the prefab or main .lua?

IDK if I'm the only one that is experiencing this, but, just thought I'd give you a heads up on that; I do understand that you did make this for the Lolz afterall, so, maybe only working for the default charcaters is as far as you'll go?

Other than that, great mod to the general experience. Made my day the first time I pooped.

It's a VERY simple mod so any updates hasn't made it broken - just tested it and it works. I simply cannot be arsed to "update" it only to make it not produce an error when run... just ignore the error and use it anyways. It'll work fine.
