@aidenpons hehe it's only fair for your degree to come first, I totally second that! Good to hear you wanted to do something similar at least anyway, it gives the whole idea a bit more legitimacy so to speak :p And who knows, maybe between here and the next summer I'll be able to start working on it aswell... assuming someone on discord will kindly point me towards the correct files and their dependancies (which is my main issue for the moment, I think).

I wish you best of luck for your exams anyway, may the Old Ones guide you >:)

That is indeed something I want to do.

However. as evidenced by the lack of activity on this project.... my degree comes first :sad_creep: So many modding ideas.... enough time to do about one of them a month. :/

Maybe this summer I'll be able to do something.... maybe?

@aidenpons hi man, since you seem quite fond of our lizardbois I'll ask you: ever considered removing RoR from the sacrifice tree (while contextually allowing Teeny to unlock them normally) and replacing those with new sacrifices? This might goes very well beyond the initial scope of the mod but it's a thing I personally hate to the bone, it's way too slow as it is :/

I would personally like to try and add Blessed Spawnings as repeatable sacrifices, but since my modding skills are close to 0 I can actually only speak about it ^^"

Also in favour of toning down the number of sacrifices you get I'll just MAKE MORE EXPENSIVE SACRIFICES :p

Interestingly you're capped at 10 000 sacrifices. I might have to up that. :P

Also I have some silly ideas:
- One sacrifices confederates a random LM faction
- Another sacrifice fills all your armies to the brim with assorted Skink units

Any more stuff you want to throw my way? Both of these are definitely doable, FYI.

Hullo, Aiden! I really love your mod. More sacrifices is always nice, so I can keep the blood flowing. (blood for the blood throne hehe). Maybe you can do some changes for the different sacrifices. Like have one that summons big muscly turtle lizardmen wearing louinclothes. That would be super great. All the other sarcrifice units are totes boring. (but not the little skink guy hero. He is cute :3) Thank you for your service xoxo

if it isn't you *might* get somewhere using KMM and forcing this higher/lower on the mod load order, although this can break more than it fixes

@Maximus Noted. I have no clue how to do that but I had no clue how to do this either before I started XD
Plans mostly include just making the buffs useful XD will get around to this when I don't have four assignments due in less-than-two-weeks... the idea is minimal effort for maximum mod fun (this mod turned out to be one line of a table XD)

Also, the bonus sacrifices won't pop up (like post battle loot, Skaven food, or arcane items being gained): your counter will just magically increase.
Generally, if your sacrifice counter is somehow no longer divisible by 10 anymore, this mod's working :P

@aidenpons in case you decide to give it your own spin, I only have 1 humble request: please remove RoR from there and let them unlock through leveling, like other LM lords.

Other sacrifices or Cult of Sotek-specific RoR units would be great, but anything is still better than that handicap.

Great work with this mod anway, loving it more each passing day.

Meh, I do like the idea of temporary buffs.

I do hate the way they're implemented: they should last for far fewer turns but be cheaper, spammier, and most importantly GOOD.

100 sacrifices for +10 leadership to Skinks is not good. :P

I should really get onto enacting my Great Plan to overhaul the sacrifice mechanic, but I want to see what SFO does first XD

Rather than any sacrifice buff have a turn limit, I think it would be neat to have them be permanent but perhaps a bit weaker for balance.

That said, I'm not sure how much unit size affects the results. As a rule, I play on Normal. If you play on Ultra you might be getting twice as many sacrifices :P

Might... I'm not sure. You would have thought Skaven food, which this mod basically uses (food is unaffected BTW), isn't tied to unit scale. But maybe it is...

oh, I thought you'd already done that XD

there's a sacrifice sink: 200 sacrifices for a random banner or follower (wtf?) you can pour all your excess sacrifices in there for something glorious like.... -25% construction cost for Cult of Sotek (local province).... +1 recruit rank to infantry in this army.... +25% chance of getting a magic item post-battle...

T2 sacrifices will unlock not when you advance the prophecy to T2 but when you do all the T1 sacrifices.

I'd forgotten that you also get +sacrifices from missions. Hmm, I've been thinking about this.

What I'll *probably* do is keep the sacrifice count the same, but jiggle the buffs around: lasting for 10 turns is not what I envisaged until I played it! I'll probably drop it to 5, or in some cases 3 (& while I'm at it probably edit the effects of the sacrifices themselves.... but that takes time :p)

That way you have high sacrifices in, high sacrifices out, for buffs-as-you-go!

The whole mechanic is a general mess IMO...

no pyhrric or heroic victories, no razing, mostly just sacking and occupying. I probably have like 400 sacrifices from mission results/dilemmas

That's great feedback. I have almost no clue how the game actually works out sacrifices: there are a bunch of numbers that... do... some... stuff? :P With feedback I'll be able to balance it a lot nicer, but I also wanted to release it so that Tehenuhain was actually playable.

I think the number of extra sacrifices you get here needs to be tuned down a bit, I’m not sure exactly how many more this mod provides (% or flat rate) but I now have literally more sacrifices than I know what to do with and I haven’t even finished off clan fester yet. Great idea for the mod, the feedback is helpful!
