Hi, it is most likely a wheel height offset problem if the wheels aren't printing.

So, first make sure the programmable block for DAS (the Driver assist system) is off, so that the script doesn't change settings for you.

Then find the group for the wheels and change the height offset setting so that the wheels are as low as they can be. That should give them enough space to be placed.

Let me know if that works!

Also, keep in mind this rover is kind of outdated, and the more recent version is linked at the top

i do not know if a patch has messed up something on this or what.. but i have had the same issue as steelkilt even tho i have already double checked the height setting.. first time it printed i disconnected before realizing i had no tires on opposite side... second print no front steer tires.... any ideas?

Yep, already using it :D Its pretty amazing. And as soon as the Bison connects without problems to the Connector i will test the autopilot!

In that case your best bet would probably be using the bison for automatic delivery, and setting up mining platforms over ore patches using something like Kezeslabas' Automatic Mining Platform script

Nah, i challenged myself to a "No fly Zone" Game this time. Thrusters are okay, but no flying ;D
Spite  [author] 5 Jun, 2019 @ 9:53am
could just use one of the quarry miners ;)
Gariot 5 Jun, 2019 @ 9:50am
I mean if i can figure out how to assemble it, sure! Maybe i can reach the super deep Cobald mine then with it haha.

Yeah unfortunately it is a tricky vehicle to use, but to make it a printable thing I had to skip on the rotors/pistons.

If I publish another one that uses drills on a rotor turret, and therefore additional assembly would be required (because projectors don't work across rotors), would that be useful to you?
Gariot 5 Jun, 2019 @ 9:35am
Yes, it works again and i keep an eye on it. No idea why it behaved so strange. But i dont use the Excavator soooo much. Mainly because i feat getting stuck in a hole xD
Spite  [author] 5 Jun, 2019 @ 8:11am
Hi Gariot, sorry for the delay (PC issues) glad its working again? If it becomes an issue you could try updating the script, it should be the Skiitz cargo hud one
Gariot 3 Jun, 2019 @ 7:29am
Strange, today it worked properly O_o
Spite  [author] 2 Jun, 2019 @ 11:57pm
Ok, let me have a look at that today, thanks! (and sorry if it meant you lost some ore)
Gariot 2 Jun, 2019 @ 1:07pm
I may found a bug. After i finally completed the Factory i build and used the Excavator! (yay!). While using it i noticed that the Cargo LCD is wrong. It showed ~60% but everything was full. Maybe a world setting or a bug in the script? I am playing survival btw.
Gariot 2 Jun, 2019 @ 10:36am
Absolutely true. Almost all wheel based vehicles last extremely long with only one battery, its amazing :) But also kinda challenging to get something good to work properly.
Spite  [author] 2 Jun, 2019 @ 10:24am
Thanks Gariot :) yeah it takes some getting used to, but its a cheaper (component and energy wise) than a miner with thrusters!
Gariot 2 Jun, 2019 @ 8:32am
Takes some practice, but its a cool vehicle :D 10/10
Steelkilt 27 Apr, 2019 @ 5:55pm
Awesome yes that works! thanks for pointing out the fix, I was able to correct my already printed rig with that setting change. Love your work!
Spite  [author] 27 Apr, 2019 @ 12:05am
Ok, update done, all that needed changing was the "wheel height offset", down to -0.3200 (as low as it goes) and the wheels all spawned without trouble. Hope that works on your side!
Spite  [author] 26 Apr, 2019 @ 11:36pm
ohh, I think the issue here is the wheel suspension height. If it is set too far up then the wheels won't spawn. I will update the blueprints for the wheeled vehicles, thanks!
Steelkilt 26 Apr, 2019 @ 8:38pm
Am I missing a Mod or is there some trick to getting the wheels on this one to Spawn, I love your designs but the most of the wheels I've had spawn on this truck during a survival build is 5 and I think that time it was a bug that it worked, for the most part 3 of the dual wheels only spawn one wheel each and then complain they can't place the other. Is there a game setting I am forgetting?
