ive tried three different alt holds and none of them worked for me either. I have no idea whats wrong

I do no believe this works still. I hooked up the pitch input to the w/s on the seat, put the altitude setpoint to a small keypad, altitude got hooked to an alitimeter, hooked the activate altitude hold to a toggle switch, got the output to the gyro pitch to the gyro and hooked the autohover with the same button, and the gyro is connected to control surfaces. all it does is lean sideways.

im using this on a second edition of a small medium bomber. thanks ;)

The derivative gain is best at 0.0001 which fixes the bobbing issue. Other than that, great controller

Pitch In goes to W/S controls, while Pitch Out goes through the Gyro.

Your derivative number in the PID is way too low, you can fix all of the bobbing with a derivative of at least 1 instead of 0.01. D is essentially "How fast should I approach the setpoint?" With it being so low it is almost not regulated and will accelerate until it hit the setpoint. A high D prevents the acceleration and help the overshooting effect.

if your plane is shaking try adjusting your gyro's limiters

i set it to 20 and it holds at 40 and when i set it to 10 it holds at 31. ill see what happens when i set -4

Is it like when you set it to to -4 it goes to 10?

so im using this but whenever i try to set an alt thats low, like 6m it gets stuck at around 20m and i cant find any clamps in the mc or anything that would cause that

this is a general alt hold, it needs to work for every purpose so im leaving it as basic as possible

I suggest adding a small clamp to it which restricts its pitch and add a tilt sensor to further make it accurate
