Dashing through the snow - wha?? SNOW! It's July guy. Brrrr. Done. Good run - even while having ice forming on body parts! Brrr again. Will beer thaw me out??? Lots of AI traffic. Nice consist of cars and engines. Very nice visuals through the snow flakes. Brrrr!

Another great scenatio. I grew up on the Eastern edge of Montana, and lived 1.5 blocks from the rail yard and roundhouse. So know these trains, both passenger and freight. Rode the southern route (can't remember the name) a couple times going to college.
Thanks again,

Great historic scenario in the snow! I always enjoy a snowy run on Marias, just wish it blew to the side like I've seen in videos of Donner Pass. I also need to inform you of another plagarized scenario of yours going by the ID GWD099.

"At The Railyard" brought up the issue you're talking about in a video review of the pack NJRick. He said that the problem isn't in the physics of the loco but in the rolling resistance of the coaching stock (it's too high).

Elphaba.......has anyone commented about the physics/dynamics of the F7 set in these scenarios? I have notice that to maintain speed on ascenting grades (1.5% or greater) I have to operate the locos at Run 8. Even then, sometimes the speed drain off. Conversely, on decending grades I'm operating at Run 1 or 2 to maintain speed. In my mind, I should be applying the dynamic brakes on steep decending grades, not throttle.

I first experienced this train in Wenatchee when it was very new and not yet in service. It was making a grand tour. It was such a big deal the schools were let out so every one could go through it. 1947 I believe. Those were the days. It was setting in front of the deport in Wenatchee and unfortunately the depot has since been removed and replaced with nothing.. Thanks for the nostalgia. Great Trip! Also, there were trains 5 and 6. I think these 2 ran between Seattle and Spokane. They stopped in Cashmere so one could visit the Aplet factory as I did when I was 6 years old in 1939.
