I have Shadowrun Returns Deluxe
Entered the facility, confirm gear, Continue... BSoD.
Tried differen resolutions, Escape does not open menu, can shift-tab to Steam, can shift-enter (Windows/Full Screen), music plays...
v2.2.1.11 patch (latest on GOG) = v1.2.7
Shadowrun Dragonfall Directors Cut
v2.0.2.3 patch (latest on GOG) = v2.0.5
Otherwise really enjoying it. Thanks!
Though overall it is a shame it is not a matrix mission itself and that the lab is the same clone of the first one and a clone of the lab from the Dead Man's Switch campaign. Otherwise I am liking it so far. The story is good. :)
I am def enjoying it so far, thanks!
My char is def overpowered though, which I guess can be expected from a quickness-heavy elf with 12.5M nuyen worth of cyberware and the EPIC 1AP burst fire found on light machine guns played on merely 'hard' :D
And with Ray's special Haste spell, I was running around with 7AP taking out most enemies with one shot...
I guess it's time to move up to 'very hard,' huh?
Thanks for being so responsive, as well- that means a lot around here, especially with the UGC for this relatively new game & engine.
So...I just went through a miniature hell fully deleting this content pack so that I could re-download it, which I did...
It STILL defaults to having the SSC as a dependency, but I'm thinking it's possible that it does that because I've also added SSC to the 'Berlin campaign' content pack, so maybe it's loading it through that?
Anyway, the point is that, while before, I was having trouble re-ordering the dependencies (the dialog was acting real buggy, and wouldn't move them up and down the list the way I wanted), but with this fresh download, it allowed me to place the SSC *after* the Berlin content, which seems to have solved the problem! I'm guessing that since the Berlin stuff was loading after the SSC pack, it was overwriting the relevant portions of it.
No longer naked, no longer missing cyberware, no longer having any problems!
Thanks
Nope, it's not about 'import with items,' because you've already got that checked.
Hmm...
There's also the matter of the character being naked. Is that part of your campaign, or is it likely related to my importing issue?
It just occurred to me- maybe cyberware counts as 'items,' and in order to import it, one must select 'import items' as well as 'import character' under the content pack properties. I'll take a look at that (I'm away from the relevant computer atm) and let you know what I find.
molefixer-
Thanks for responding. I assumed that you included the SSC (yes, I mean Street Samurai Catalog) in your UGC because I found it listed as a pre-existing dependency, and I was 99.99999% sure I didn't add it, then not play the campaign, then come back and play it later, forgetting that I added it. It's certainly possible- and if you say you haven't included it, then that must be the case.
In any event, on my machine, it IS listed as a dependency, so the cyberware *should* import just fine, right?
Can you think of any reason it wouldn't? Every dependency required for my character is listed in your content pack (the version on my machine, to which I apparently added the SSC), so I shouldn't have a problem importing the cyberware, as far as I know.
Please advise, or just let me know if I'm simply not supposed to be able to import cyberware (though I'm not aware it that it's possible via the editor to 'filter' it out of imported characters, so my money's on a bug).
I can't comment on the content yet, because I'm determined to play a samurai for this campaign (after playing riggers for the last few), so I wanna get this figured out before I proceed with the story.
My issue is this: I used a levelling utility to create a 200 karma character for this campaign. My character has a bit of cyberware from the SSC data pack, which it appears your content supports (it IS a dependency of this pack), but when I import and begin the campaign, he's naked, with no cyberware and 1 essence. I've seen this issue reported here and there for other UGC, and usually the offered solution is to add the relevant pack as a dependency, but in this case, it's already there. I even tried adding the SME version of SSC, in case that was the version that my levelling utility used, and still got the same result.
@molefixer-
First, I want to say that I appreciate all of you GMs out there creating content for everyone to enjoy! I'm hoping to start on some original stories myself, at some point, but for now I'm just playing the crap out of the game and UGC and exploring the editor as I go.
The reason for this post is to report what seems to be a bug, though I can't be certain. I imagine this has already been addressed somewhere, but I don't wanna dig through 27 pages of comments, then wonder if what I might've found even applies to the current version anyway.
