I wish we could import this to the newer platforms like with the old emulators.

Is this story line still operational? Tried both versions and not matter which I select, new character or import, it clicks and nothing happens.

I have Shadowrun Returns Deluxe

Which version are you playing? This one was created for the original Berlin set not the DFDC. That may have something to do with it.
Ballsy3301 19 Oct, 2015 @ 3:51pm
I've been trying to play Darkness, but when I try to load it, it just goes back to SR screen. Any ideas on why?
RasterOps 15 Sep, 2015 @ 7:37am
Thanks Fixer. I have the DC version and have been playing through your series using it. So null sheen.
molefixer  [author] 14 Sep, 2015 @ 10:02pm
This version was based on the original Berlin not the director's cut. Do you have both or just the DC version> That could be the problem. Then again I haven't done any work on this one in nearly a year. Since you have the DC maybe you would prefer looking up my updated version designed specifically for the DC version. It follows up from my Desert wars campaign.

Been havin' little problems like optional quest items that don't get checked when completed or an inabillity to trigger said quests without save/reload, e.g. gang robbers and bully. But those are trival compared to black screen o' death.

Entered the facility, confirm gear, Continue... BSoD.

Tried differen resolutions, Escape does not open menu, can shift-tab to Steam, can shift-enter (Windows/Full Screen), music plays...

Do I need Dragonfall to run this? I only Have Shadowrun returns.
molefixer  [author] 12 Jan, 2015 @ 8:51am
:cybereye: It is a challenge finding what enemies will be difficult and which ones will be a push over. I am always working on that part. Unfortunately, what is a death match for a decker can be a push over for a Street Samurai. If you have the director's cut you may find my additions for it to be better suited. They are my most up to date versions and have some new story elements to them since they are linked to Desert Wars (a prequel to Darkness Falls). I am glad you liked it! Thanks for the feedback. :snaggletooth:

molefixer  [author] 15 Nov, 2014 @ 3:10pm
hmm, nope I thought I had that fixed, but I may have not updated it in this content pack. I have several with the same files so I may have over looked updating it here.
Mason Dixon 14 Nov, 2014 @ 9:43am
@morefixer Sorry for the delay- I got the Darkness Falls [No Dragonfall Content] working so far. Just noticed a small bug- the forearm snapblades don't have an icon. Is there an icon pack that I'm missing?
Baldur333 10 Nov, 2014 @ 11:24am
Thank you I really appreciate
molefixer  [author] 30 Oct, 2014 @ 11:35pm
@hias179-- I am still reworking the trilogy for director's cut. I am still beta testing Desert Wars which is a prequel of sorts for the characters invoved. As soon as I am certain that Desert Wars will run smoothly I will try to publish them to the nexus mods. I am also adding some modifications to Darkness Falls chapter 1. Yes though I will add them as soon as I am able to do so. I'll sed yu a message when I do.

molefixer  [author] 27 Oct, 2014 @ 3:21pm
Sorry guys. Which versions of srr are you running? I am currently working on a new director's edition package for these so if you are running the brand new dragonfall that came out in Sept. Give me a while yet as I update my content packs. They are going to be a continuation from Desert Wars campaign. :gargoyle:
Baldur333 27 Oct, 2014 @ 2:25am
Dear MoleFixer, I do hope not to annoy you with my request. But It is impossible for me to get your files downloaded after subscriptions. I bought the game from a third party offer. I believe steam blocks intentionally my download. - May I ask you kindly to upload the files to http://www.nexusmods.com/shadowrunreturns/? Thank you for considering.
Mason Dixon 22 Oct, 2014 @ 9:00pm
Okay, clearly I'm doing something wrong. I've subscribed to DF 1-3, but I can't play them. I try to start a campaign, I get the Import/New character prompt, then I get sent back to the main menu. And checking my StreamingAssets folder, I don't see the content packs. What am I getting wrong here?
molefixer  [author] 30 Sep, 2014 @ 10:16am
Hmm, can't seem to replicate the issue here. I'll keep at it. Hopefully I can figure it out. As far as cyberware goes I do not have any other user created tech in there, just mine and HBS. Do you know which UGC you are using for cyberware? Maybe I can update Darkness Falls to recognize it.
justcause 30 Sep, 2014 @ 8:59am
It was user-created tech for the cyberware. As far as Belladonna, when I chose the option to help her team the dialog box would have no options left, but also wouldn't let me click through the '. . .' to continue. I reloaded it a couple of times with the same result, so just opted to not help her and continue my own objectives in the matrix.

Otherwise really enjoying it. Thanks!

Verry nice story. Enjoyed playing it. Thanx
molefixer  [author] 27 Sep, 2014 @ 9:55pm
So does she join your team or disappear or what? I just checked it and it works fine for me so if you could give me a few more details it would be great. Can you not move after the conversation?
molefixer  [author] 27 Sep, 2014 @ 9:26pm
Was it HBS cyberware or some user created tech? I'll check into Belladona. I haven't run through it in a while so a few patches since then. Maybe something glitched due to them.
justcause 26 Sep, 2014 @ 10:58pm
And every time I talk to Belladonna on the extra matrix run I agree to help and then there are no dialogue options and I have to reload.
justcause 26 Sep, 2014 @ 8:31pm
I found a bug--I imported a character from a previous UGC. I had a bunch of cyberware which wasn't imported, but my essence remains at 1, which means I can't buy and new cyberware, despite being able to afford it.
ImIronWolf 31 Aug, 2014 @ 12:16pm
I was stuck on the same bit with the Yamatetsu lab mission. I would suggest maybe moving the yellow speach bubble to the side if possible, to make it more noticable. It is on a white background of the table and easy to miss.

Though overall it is a shame it is not a matrix mission itself and that the lab is the same clone of the first one and a clone of the lab from the Dead Man's Switch campaign. Otherwise I am liking it so far. The story is good. :)
mosherk 10 Aug, 2014 @ 5:08pm
It didn't work for me Thursday night, but it did on Friday, so I've now completed all 3 stories. Good overall story line, but much like some of the other people, I would prefer to play the character I created, rather than a default. Other than that, FUN! Thanks!
molefixer  [author] 7 Aug, 2014 @ 10:55pm
The room with all the computers just before the hallway with the locked door. The last computer on the top row is highlighted. I just ran through it and Angel, Blitzkrieg and Cookie Monster were able to access it. Then the next computer is highlighted again and it is the only computer in its room. Those will be the only 2 you should have to access in Yamatetsu. They both have a yellow speech bubble over them.
mosherk 7 Aug, 2014 @ 6:23pm
Same here. Can't find any place to unlock the doors in Yamatetsu... Otherwise, I'm having a great time so far!
molefixer  [author] 3 Aug, 2014 @ 7:53pm
maybe it did. It is showing up for me so I'll just repatch it and hopefully that fixes it. Sorry for the delay.
Muenchhausen 2 Aug, 2014 @ 4:11am
In the Yamatetsu Labs mission to recover the doctor (again), I encountered a problem: there is no interactable object to unlock the security doors. Obviously there has been, as others played through your nice campaign, maybe it got lost in the last bugfix.
molefixer  [author] 19 Jul, 2014 @ 8:51pm
Should be fixed now. I ran through it and it seems to be wrking fine for cookie monster to access it.
molefixer  [author] 19 Jul, 2014 @ 8:30pm
well, for some reason it has set itself back a few updates. Angel has to be the one to access them. I am working on fixing that, but if you are currently playing it you can just use her to access them.
nahal0911 19 Jul, 2014 @ 6:26pm
In the mission to recover the doctor (right after the job for Angel), I can only get as far as unlocking the security doors and locating the admin computer; when I get to it there's no icon for me to interact with it so I'm stuck. Is there someother content pack I need?
molefixer  [author] 10 Jul, 2014 @ 9:51pm
I try to stay on top of it. I am still working on new content slowly and so I am not forgetting to check in on the older ones. The difficulty is tricky because everyone plays differently. I have heard it both ways, but I tend to agree with you. Cake walk for me.

molefixer-

I am def enjoying it so far, thanks!

My char is def overpowered though, which I guess can be expected from a quickness-heavy elf with 12.5M nuyen worth of cyberware and the EPIC 1AP burst fire found on light machine guns played on merely 'hard' :D

And with Ray's special Haste spell, I was running around with 7AP taking out most enemies with one shot...

I guess it's time to move up to 'very hard,' huh?

Thanks for being so responsive, as well- that means a lot around here, especially with the UGC for this relatively new game & engine.
molefixer  [author] 10 Jul, 2014 @ 1:08pm
=) I'm happy you figured it out! That was an odd one for me because I haven't used SSC to the best of my knowledge on anything. I hope you enjoy the game now!

molefixer-

So...I just went through a miniature hell fully deleting this content pack so that I could re-download it, which I did...

It STILL defaults to having the SSC as a dependency, but I'm thinking it's possible that it does that because I've also added SSC to the 'Berlin campaign' content pack, so maybe it's loading it through that?

Anyway, the point is that, while before, I was having trouble re-ordering the dependencies (the dialog was acting real buggy, and wouldn't move them up and down the list the way I wanted), but with this fresh download, it allowed me to place the SSC *after* the Berlin content, which seems to have solved the problem! I'm guessing that since the Berlin stuff was loading after the SSC pack, it was overwriting the relevant portions of it.

No longer naked, no longer missing cyberware, no longer having any problems!

Thanks

Nope, it's not about 'import with items,' because you've already got that checked.

Hmm...

There's also the matter of the character being naked. Is that part of your campaign, or is it likely related to my importing issue?

It just occurred to me- maybe cyberware counts as 'items,' and in order to import it, one must select 'import items' as well as 'import character' under the content pack properties. I'll take a look at that (I'm away from the relevant computer atm) and let you know what I find.

molefixer-

Thanks for responding. I assumed that you included the SSC (yes, I mean Street Samurai Catalog) in your UGC because I found it listed as a pre-existing dependency, and I was 99.99999% sure I didn't add it, then not play the campaign, then come back and play it later, forgetting that I added it. It's certainly possible- and if you say you haven't included it, then that must be the case.

In any event, on my machine, it IS listed as a dependency, so the cyberware *should* import just fine, right?

Can you think of any reason it wouldn't? Every dependency required for my character is listed in your content pack (the version on my machine, to which I apparently added the SSC), so I shouldn't have a problem importing the cyberware, as far as I know.
molefixer  [author] 9 Jul, 2014 @ 10:35pm
I am guessing you mean street samurai catalogue which I do not have in my content packs. I have my own specialized gear for the game. If it is in DMS or Dragonfall it should easily transfer with you. As long as your character has the basic cyberware (non player modified) then it should transfer normally. My apologies for slow response. I try to check this every day, but it doesn't always show me everything.

(3 of 3, stupid character limiter!)
Please advise, or just let me know if I'm simply not supposed to be able to import cyberware (though I'm not aware it that it's possible via the editor to 'filter' it out of imported characters, so my money's on a bug).

I can't comment on the content yet, because I'm determined to play a samurai for this campaign (after playing riggers for the last few), so I wanna get this figured out before I proceed with the story.

My issue is this: I used a levelling utility to create a 200 karma character for this campaign. My character has a bit of cyberware from the SSC data pack, which it appears your content supports (it IS a dependency of this pack), but when I import and begin the campaign, he's naked, with no cyberware and 1 essence. I've seen this issue reported here and there for other UGC, and usually the offered solution is to add the relevant pack as a dependency, but in this case, it's already there. I even tried adding the SME version of SSC, in case that was the version that my levelling utility used, and still got the same result.

@molefixer-

First, I want to say that I appreciate all of you GMs out there creating content for everyone to enjoy! I'm hoping to start on some original stories myself, at some point, but for now I'm just playing the crap out of the game and UGC and exploring the editor as I go.

The reason for this post is to report what seems to be a bug, though I can't be certain. I imagine this has already been addressed somewhere, but I don't wanna dig through 27 pages of comments, then wonder if what I might've found even applies to the current version anyway.
molefixer  [author] 29 Jun, 2014 @ 8:56am
Thank you FelipeH92. @Rational Thinker-- in some small parts it is, but for the most part you will have a lot of fighting. @Sentient_Toaster-- Yeah, I originally wanyed it to be that if you tripped the alarm they popped up and ran in, but I kept having issues getting them to actually go anywhere once spawning. That was just the easiest fix. I am still working in the editor trying to master it so in time hopefully I will have it perfected.
Sentient_Toaster 28 Jun, 2014 @ 3:30am
In particular, the switching of characters helps the story a fair bit, I think. Didn't really find it slow -- although... well, not to spoil things with specifics, but things can get pretty cheesy when you have very high regeneration + very powerful spells, since the HP drain of tossing your nasty magic faster than cooldowns would normally allow suddenly matters a lot less.
Sentient_Toaster 28 Jun, 2014 @ 3:24am
Interesting story; it's clearly been thought out for a fair bit. I think my main complaint is how spawns are handled -- the trigger squares are usually very, very close to where the enemies spawn meaning that you get extremely silly situations like a walk through a short, empty hallway with absolutely no cover suddenly being populated with multiple armed security guards and a turret as if they teleported in. Causing enemies to spawn further away and out of LOS would make things much more realistic, since most of them don't plausibly have the "improved invisibility" excuse.
