While I can see why you may see this as a problem, I felt that the upsides I added, such as his returned sanity gain from planting, and stronger Lucy damage, make up for this easily.
TLDR; I liked the old Woodie which required the management of wood, so this aims to reintroduce that.

never liked how i felt like a detriment to my team because i would be doing my chopping work, but eat up the food without contributing any. but hey. your mod means i should be using little, if any, healing items if i farm up the living logs. i'll definitely try it out.
I get you're points about werebeaver, but as I said in the description, I made this mod to make him more useful and fun. Woodie is currently outclassed hard by multiple characters, but more importantly, I just find him WAY more fun with these changes.
I do like some of the suggestions, by the way, I'll see what I can do about adding some of those soon. :)

whilst adding an extra layer of difficulty with the whole "no map, no inventory" shlick.
Lucy is a beautiful piece of work, with all the utility you can get out of her voice lines, plus she's unbreakable, so it makes sense that she does 90% of a normal axes dmg at most.
The sanity bit is ok, mostly because I don't remember Werebeaver having health regen, so it eases the number of things you need to do before returning back to Woodie, but treeguards aren't affected by sanity, so.. less shadow creatures when you're Werebeaver, hooray? :/

your logic is poor.
Finally, can't Werebeaver just do more damage to treeguards and poison burchnut trees?
And do more damage to everything else when he's insane?
