The game is bullshit anyways, so this kinda balances it out.
Shit-Show-Commando 2 Nov, 2024 @ 12:19pm
is there a mod to add health to only the enemies?

Thanks so much for making this. I'm playing on Legend with this and it's a completely different game. Much less dread, much more aggressive tactics.

For people who may ask yes can confirm works in WOTC and with 40k mods.

nevermind was pretty easy to just modify lw2's characterstats.ini file with aml
Kora 11 Feb, 2021 @ 12:45am
is it possible to make this compatabile with long war 2?

Do u know if your mod works with:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1265143828
To me it doesn't look like it have any effect. What i am thinking is that your mod could be placed on top linked/ integrated if added with the one i linked?

I play this with Armor of the Imperium mod, only 4 Astartews per squads and triple enemies redux.

this 40K POWER fantasy at its finest

Forgot to mention that the need for this mod at all points out that key flaw in the game. Hope in the future they manage to figure out how to balance it out (perhaps with much bigger mission rewards so maybe the troopers wont out value the mission).

I still find it funny that one of the key criticisms of this game is actually very true. The late game troopers get so powerful and useful they often out weigh the benefit of completing the mission to the point it is better to retreat and lose the battle then push forward at the expense of a single trooper.

this mod is compatible with WOTC?

Isn't a feeling of dread and loss part of the series?

@yuzhonglu
To change the mod for you find your

...steamapps/workshop/content/268500

folder then find the folder that contains a file named "MoreHealth" but don't click this file.

In the "config" folder you can open the only config file. Inside, every line starting with "+", the number at the end of the line can be changed to any value you like.

Any way to change mod to +2 health? It's too OP right now.
Knightmare 30 Apr, 2019 @ 9:55am
I've figured that the mod didn't change the HP of already existing units but new ones have the modified health pool. Kinda sad cause i have two very good units who could profit from the boost and now are the ones who die most likely. oof.
Trev  [author] 27 Apr, 2019 @ 4:10pm
No worries :)
Knightmare 27 Apr, 2019 @ 3:43pm
I see, well thanks either way! i am pretty sure this mod is super useful to many people, may it be new players like me or more experienced players that need a little balancing.
Trev  [author] 27 Apr, 2019 @ 3:18pm
@Snek

Having a new save/campaign shouldn't be the problem (though I could be wrong) but otherwise I have no idea what problem you're experiencing.

I'm not that knowledgeable about the modding tools and XCOM 2. I just make mods and hope they work (with what little I can gather from the internet) **face-palm**.
Knightmare 27 Apr, 2019 @ 8:33am
i dont think it worked for me, soldiers still have the same ammount of health. However, i am currently not playing with the beta strike option nor have i changed anything / nor am i aware of any mod that changes the DefaultGameData_CharacterStats, do i need a new save for it? Or any clue what might prevent it from working?

@darkdill
This mod is now updated and when it's convenient for you can you let me know if the Reaper hero is now fixed?
Trev  [author] 4 Apr, 2019 @ 11:17pm
@darkdill
Oh, I'm glad you brought that up. I think I see the problem now and it seems likely my mod is missing the HP bonus to the Reaper hero and the Skirmisher hero.

I'll update this mod in 5-10 minutes and let me know if that fixes the problem.
darkdill 4 Apr, 2019 @ 10:08pm
While this DOES work, I noticed that in my game that Outrider (the hero Reaper) started with only 10 HP. Maybe something else I'm using might've messed with this one's effect?
Trev  [author] 30 Mar, 2019 @ 11:49pm
Oh, I think that makes sense. The thumbnail being cute was an accident because my digital drawing skills is very basic.

I'm glad the thumbnail is likeable though.

The thumbnail is simple and cute.
Trev  [author] 25 Mar, 2019 @ 11:23pm
I appreciate all the comments so far because I'm glad people are finding this mod helpful and I'm glad I didn't keep it to myself.

@Lord Tachanka
I'm glad you like the thumbnail but I don't feel it's anything special. It was something I quickly drew up in paint for a previous XCOM 2 mod I published.
Oblivious Naga 24 Mar, 2019 @ 11:57pm
this actually helps me in Beta strike as one of my mods is interfering with it
What's An Airport? 24 Mar, 2019 @ 7:18pm
Nice thumbnail.
Cap'n MacHaddish 24 Mar, 2019 @ 1:28pm
Very helpful. I came to XCOM 2 as an Enemy Unknown/Within player, and it's very, very different. My soldiers die in 1 shot to anything! This mod makes the game much more reasonable, without making it too easy.
brbsharkweek 24 Mar, 2019 @ 8:46am
Thanks dude. This is very thoughtful because I am fucking dying left and right.
