Report a translation problem
- Dare server shouldn't start anymore if the option in settings is switched off
I purposefully didn't make the mod itself toggleable.
We wouldn't want people to regret playing with it and switching it off in the middle of a game, would we? XP
But at the beginning of the mission I forgot to check for the "I dare you!" option.
You can still switch it off, just not during a game, in the keep.
Although that option isn't checked at all. XD
I'm gonna update this, but until then unfortunately you have to deactivate the mod in the launcher if you don't want to use it.
Or type "/stop_server" in the chat at the beginning of a mission.
Taking away stamina and reducing dodge range is a bit redundant if the default punishment is already damage.
Also I don't want the punishment to actually prevent you from doing something.
The player should have the choice to do it anyway and take the punishment.
Well, ok "catapult" sends you flying. XP
I might have to rework how this is affecting 'don't use skil' now that I think about it.
Disabling their passives/weapon properties and traits.
Maybe I could basically implement the "Back to Basics" deed modifier for this.
I'll look into this.

I just wanted to address all of them so you know what I think about it.
Ideally the punishments would be something that can be done everytime you fail to comply with the dare.
Adding an additional curse would probably work.
But as far as I know there is a limit for how many curses you can apply.
For a good player in the end it might not be a punishment at all.
I mean basically just don't get hit and you can just ignore the dare completely.
Effect of drunkenness was already suggested. XP
I never actually played that so far.
So I don't even know how annoying it is.
But I'll look into it eventually.
Resetting career skill kinda the same as with the curses.
It might not be that much of a punishment.
You can just keep doing everything and not use the skill for a while.

Der server rollt zwei zufällige Spieler.
Einen der eine aus drei zufälligen Pflichten auswählt und ein Opfer das die Pflicht erfüllen muss.
Manche Pflichten sind ekelhafter als andere.
Zum Beispiel darfst du nicht blocken, musst ununterbrochen springen, du darfst überhaupt nicht springen oder nicht ausweichen.
Die Pflicht ist für 10 bis 60 Sekunden aktiv dann wählt der server wieder 2 neue Personen aus.
Die Zeit wie lang jede Pflicht aktiv ist kann in den Mod Optionen eingestellt werden.
- Rename evade to dodge in don't dodge description
- Don't quick switch changed to don't switch equipment (every switch)
- Special option for don't block to prevent dare to trigger when reviving other player
- Fixed bug in party dare roll
- Fixed issue where clients would repeatedly try to abort a party dare
- Implemented dares affecting the whole party
- Fixed bug in don't use item
So, this update introduces dares that affect the whole party.
This feature and the percentual chance can be set in the mod settings.
Party dares are display in yellow text in the selection.
This feature needs more refinement but it's working in general.
- Don't use item will only appear for players who have items other than tomes and grims
- Fixed issue where server deactivates when all but one player die
- Being knocked down / dead / respawned aborts the current dare for that player and starts a new selection
- Knocked down / dead / respawned players are excluded from random player rolls
I tested the mod with both "Skip Cutscenes" and "Skip Cutscenes Please" and the server start triggered correctly in both of them.
- Fixed zealot skill triggering don't dodge
- Fixed handmaiden skill triggering don't dodge
- Fixed shade skill triggering don't dodge
- Fixed knight skill triggering don't dodge
- Fixed push-block-attack not triggering don't use melee
- Renamed don't use ranged to don't equip ranged
- Increased frequency and lowered damage of don't equip ranged
- Don't equip ranged won't appear for slayer anymore
- Fixed error in UI when less than 3 dares to choose
The issue that the server stops working seems to be resolved.
More updates are coming soon.
The length of the dares can be configured in mod options.
The server part of the code ( running on the host ) rolls two random players, a selector and a victim.
The UI code part of the mod guides you through everything.
It should be really obvious what to do.
I made some test games in the meantime.
And apparently there is a problem that at some point it doesn't work anymore.
I think it has something to do with the deactivation of the server after a mission.
Maybe just a small issue.
I wanna try this out though, it looks really cool. Awesome work!
