OK I've seen now that something about this skill has been mentioned before. I am using the class from within the Rhagius class pack.

There seems to be a bug with the Rapid Fire skill not accepting e.g. cannons though the description says it does. I've seen inside GUTS that only bows are assigned to both left and right sides. I've changed that inside GUTS for me and it is working now.

glad it works! yeah i was a bit lazy and unimaginative, so all spells with the same name as the basic spells in vanilla are replacing them, but the only ones actually mechanically different are the ones you listed ^^

UPDATE: Moving Scattershot above my current character mod merge fixed the issue. The skill reads like Rapid Fire but its called Fire Burst.

I have no issue restarting characters. There is a possibility of a conflict with something else. I'll have to look into it on my end.

Also, I noted a major side effect of this class, not sure if this was intentional, but the modified skills from Outlander started showing up changed for Outlander. I started a Glaivelander last night and noted that I was able to put points into Burning Leap, Shadow Brute, and Rune Vault from the start, among others. Also, Blade Pact has been swapped out for Spider Pact, which is not bad thing for me at all.

I'm not sure if this was intentional though. Not many people even play Outlanders, and the changes could be seen as beneficial.

so, i tested it again, and the skill works fine for me, you might have to respec if you can to have it show up. if you can't i will change it back to rapid fire for you, so you don't have to restart

@weave50 i am playing with synergies myself, no problem so far, are you using any other mods?
@Dark Templar Sephiroth weird when testing it, the skill showed up fine, gonna check on it later. it's just rapid fire with functionality for cannon ( even though the animation is just weird)

Rapid Fire seems to be gone. A non-functional skill is in it's place. Something new you're working on?

The LMB thing might just be as easy as setting a tag or something. There should be a guide somewhere though.

thank you, i will check rapid fire
cannon attack sound seems to be bugged, i looked into fixing it, but since the animation uses the base-attack animation for all weapon it should use the attack sound and not the reload sound of the cannon. couldn't find a fix for it without learning how to script :(
i can check the left mouse button thing, if i find some guide that explains what is involved with this.

Bug Report:
-Rapid Fire: Tooltip indicates Cannons may be used, not working
-Buckshot: Firing sound while using Buckshot with a Cannon is the sound of a Crossbow firing
-Buckshot: Can't be set to left mouse button

@Dark Templar Sephiroth :D yeah at first i was planning on restricting the skill to shotgonnes and cannons so they become a ranged option with increasing reach, but then i realized that linking the animation and damage to the type of weapon used is balanced in the way that faster/ lighter weapons can spam it faster, but it won't have as high of an impact.
but thinking about it now, i think all the brand passives should also be based on a percentile of the weapon dps, so that you can't benefit from a higher procrate on faster weapons.
right now i fear that shotgonnes are again worse than other ranged weapons, because they have a lower base damage

For the most part. Not sure if this was the intention, but buck shot combined with a crossbow at 7 ranks is way too much fun. Give it a whirl.

@Dark Templar Sephiroth super glad to hear it! if you have some immediate suggestions for balance i can make a non-sybergies version. my own mod pack cranks up the difficulty a lot so it felt en par with basic classes doing veteran, but i guess the amount of synergistic effects/ buffs is way too strong for normal gameplay :D

do you play on unmodded elite?

Balanced? Not for normal play apparently, but since when do I care about that. I'm sure its balanced well enough for Synergies and other hard mods, but that's not my playstyle. This class is fun AF and I'm having a blast with it. It's making me love TL2 again.
