@BlackJack43 I couldn't even begin to tell you if this still works. I haven't looked at it or the game in years.

how do i use the mod, i start new game and select new character, but it just goes back to the main menu.

This didn't take nearly as long as I expected. The new version of the mod with Dragonfall and SSC support is out. You will be able to select which content you want equipment available from, so even if you don't plan to use SSC equipment you should be able to create a chracter that will load fine without it. You will need SSC in order to use the Enhanced Utility Mod.

New Mod is here:

Street Samurai Catalog (SSC) by tracker is here:

Enjoy!:quickfix:

Work is starting today to increase the content of this Utility mod. I will be making a version that allows you to select from Dead Man's Switch, Dragonfall, and Street Samurai Catalog options and should allow players to create a character using all, or some of those. This means the new version will require you to have all 3 installed, but allow someone to build a character that only has equipment from their selected combonation, so they have a character viable in Dragonfall only, DMS only, DF + DMS, DMS + SSC, DF + SSC, or DMS + DF + SSC.

No ETA on when it will be ready, but I have started on it now. I will also NOT be deleting or replacing THIS version, this will continue being available, though I might change the name to [Vanilla].

Perfect mod to make character builds.
Captain Kinetic 11 May, 2014 @ 3:32pm
How do you move an imported character to the main game? Am I missing something here?
Hellrour 6 May, 2014 @ 1:19pm
any way to get you to make a seperate mor that includes SSc and Cybertech, to avoid conflict with other content...
Xalthar 4 May, 2014 @ 12:53pm
how do i load out once im done? I dont understand, ijust want to play with my pimped up character in my normal game
Mr. Welldone 27 Apr, 2014 @ 12:27pm
I know this project is a pain, but I don't suppose there's been any progress on getting the stuff from Dragonfall included?
WiseG33k 30 Mar, 2014 @ 9:26am
Thank you! Extremely useful mod to test new builds or just to fool around and have fun. Looking forward to your Dragonfall version (I do second spectre_of_woe's request to have it as a seperate mod to minimize conflicts). :-)
Allarionn  [author] 11 Mar, 2014 @ 1:18pm
Hmm, yeah I can probably do that instead.
spectre_of_woe 10 Mar, 2014 @ 5:08pm
I just imported my character from dragonfall into dms and it bugged out, bad. Instead of updating this with dragonfall stuff, could you possibly post a second mod, thus, keeping this intact for those who want a leveled character for DMS and fanmade stuff doesn't use Berlin?
Allarionn  [author] 10 Mar, 2014 @ 3:04pm
Update coming for all Dragonfall Gear and such soon... :)
spectre_of_woe 4 Mar, 2014 @ 7:42pm
Can you update this with Dragonfall items, spells, and totems?

After recreating a character with this, is it possible to load them into the default campaign?
I lost most of my character data after my computer crashed and save file corrupted, and this utility would be a godsend if I could level my character up to quickly get back to where I was.
Guyver 22 Nov, 2013 @ 12:20pm
Life Saver, lost all my characters due to some game bug that corrupted all my save data. Now I am able to recreate some of then without spending countless hours replaying the game

I subscribed to this content, however, it doesn't appear anywhere in my game. I checked the content menu as well as new game menus. Any advice?
adamfoxdavis 11 Nov, 2013 @ 12:41pm
Works great, better then a trainer. Thank you very much.
Mezner 7 Nov, 2013 @ 4:52pm
Nice, thank you. This helps out several different mods.
Santo 15 Sep, 2013 @ 9:19pm
This thing is simply amazing. Thank you very much for sharing it.
DarkMako 15 Aug, 2013 @ 7:29pm
Rated it, shared it, love it.
DarkMako 15 Aug, 2013 @ 7:24pm
That is sick! Ran the shadowns once. So second time round I was going to stomp around God Mode style. But the save game bloat was a factor I didn't even realize. Thanks man. Kick ass modders like you are what keep Steam Community strong.
Allarionn  [author] 15 Aug, 2013 @ 7:09pm
TL:DR Yes you can do that with this Mod, but no that was not the reason for making it.

Now of course some people may use this to just create a "god" character, but the only person's fun they are ruining is their own, if anyone (maybe they enjoy that, who knows).
Allarionn  [author] 15 Aug, 2013 @ 7:09pm
It is capable of doing that DarkMako, but that is not the actual intention. The intention is threefold.

1. Many projects in the Workshop are designed for "experienced" characters, and people do not have a character at the appropriate experience level. This will let them create a character at the correct level.

2. Helping out with testing multiple classes at a specific level in a project. I uses this utility to create numerous versions of different archetypes at the appropriate amount of karma for testing different scenarios in my own UGC campaign.

3. Relieving "save game bloat" by creating a fresh copy of a character. As you play with the same character and build up a long list of auto-saves with it, it starts lagging up your load screens. Until this is addressed the easiest way to work around it is to re-create your character with a utility like this that does not have the mass of auto-saves, and therefor doesn't lag your loading up levels.
DarkMako 15 Aug, 2013 @ 6:41pm
did someone cook up a way to make max attribute characters??? Is this what this is???
Allarionn  [author] 13 Aug, 2013 @ 10:58am
@ InnaderOZ Glad you got it working :) Wish you didn't have to do all that rebooting and such, but beyond telling you all those things that might work, there is little I can do on my end to fix it, annoying as that is.

@Vorshan I may update this mod later on too add those, sorry they got overlooked. Really I just wanted to get a utility like this back up and visible in the workshop. There were a few others previously but then the workshop bugged out and so many mods went invisible, I pushed this out to fill the gap so people had a utility like this for testing and save-game bloat issues. So what I'm saying is I hadn't originally planned to update this mod really (It does what it does pretty well). If I change my mind I'll add those in.
Alltag 13 Aug, 2013 @ 10:45am
Allarion, many thanks for all the information. Thanks a lot, it now shows up in-game.
I restarted my pc 2 times, relaunched steam about 10 times, unsubscribed and subcribed about 2 times and suddenly your content showed up ;)

Awesome mod btw.
Vorshan 13 Aug, 2013 @ 9:59am
All the smart-link and silenced weapon varieties from the original campaign are missing, it's only the basic ones that are available. Other then that, awesome module.
Cassiopeia 12 Aug, 2013 @ 8:52pm
Awesome, thanks.
Allarionn  [author] 12 Aug, 2013 @ 7:26pm
@InvaderOZ
Here is a link too someone with the same problem with people walking him through ways to potentially resolve it: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/234650/discussions/0/864975632763593388/
Allarionn  [author] 12 Aug, 2013 @ 7:24pm
Firstly you can try just backing out to the main menu and back into content a few times. Sometimes it has an issue populating fresh subscriptions.

If that doesn't work try closing down Steam and the game both, then restarting them.

Past that it becomes much trickier to find solutions but there are a few threads in the discussion section.

UGC not showing up like this in your contents is a problem with Steam/the workshop, so that's as much as I can do too help I'm sorry to say. Best of luck, wish I could do more.
Alltag 12 Aug, 2013 @ 6:51pm
Hm, maybe i am doing something wrong but it doesn't show up in my in-game conent menue.
Cassiopeia 12 Aug, 2013 @ 4:52pm
Ahh, I understand, thanks for the reply.
Ygolnac 11 Aug, 2013 @ 7:33pm
Good job, very usefull to import balanced chars into player content
Allarionn  [author] 11 Aug, 2013 @ 6:54pm
Decking programs are stored "in your stash" sadly, so they cannot be carried over upon any import as far as I know
Cassiopeia 11 Aug, 2013 @ 5:25pm
I used this mod to make my character because I was tired of the lag from the save file bloat, I saved my game at the start of the first warehouse visit, when I came back to it later all of my decking programs were gone. When I returned to The Seamstresses Union I purchased the lower level programs that were available and I was unable to see them in my equipment or in my storage. I'm just curious if anyone else has had a problem like this and if they know what the cause is/what to do about it?
