That you already have in vanilla. You can install chassis modification that does exactly the same.
PhDinNoob101 24 jul om 18:58
Is there a way to change this into software that can be installed at a pirate station?
Walker 16 jul om 13:07
needs a update
dialt 5 jun om 2:38
Well, if it only applies to players, that's good enough for me.
If our merchant fleet is told to dump cargo, it's not a problem because it's not a hassle.
HypnoToad 22 mei om 11:04
Been using this for years, and after coming back to this game from an extended break i would agree that this isnt working anymore at least not for my other ships, seems fine when i get scanned, but my freighters are often dumping cargo because of police scans... thanks again for this mod its worked well for me over the years.
Angry Pancake 4 apr om 5:57
Yeah, I can confirm this is working only maybe 50% of the time. I've got ships getting stopped, and asked to drop their cargo on my L's and XL Traders.
Drakkar 30 mrt om 16:56
Had spacefly eggs and AGI in my wingmen's cargo holds - got scanned by the police and was forced to discard it. I'm using the current 7.60 beta.
Andrew1977 28 mrt om 16:03
I think it is working somewhat. I just got scanned by a ZYA patrol and it said I was clean. But my spacefuel traders keep getting caught when they get scanned.
Andrew1977 27 mrt om 17:17
Still trying to figure it out. I went down to just Secret Stash installed and my Trash Panda in Second Contact still dropped all his illegal cargo. Going to try to uninstall and reinstall to see if another mod modified the game files. I'll let you know what happens. Hopefully the save is not the issue. I rather liked this start.
Assailer  [auteur] 27 mrt om 10:53
I just checked the beta and it works for me. Please re-check why it wouldn't work for you.
Andrew1977 27 mrt om 0:25
I am trying the 7.6 open Beta and Secret Stash is not working correctly for it. Just figure I would drop a line. I also have fly by looting and Sector Explorer and those still seems to be work.
Noviath 10 mrt om 4:33
I believe the right click issue is tied to sir nuke's apı mod, which is required for some of my favorite mods but whenever a ship has inventroy items i couldn't right click to those ships until said mods are disabled. Now it works :/
acKo2 9 mrt om 9:28
Per my comment below! Should have actually checked the lockboxes! They WERE illegal goods, not the traders whole inventories. I'm not sure how they'd picked up them up, but I had been running in SETA for a long time so not unfeasible
acKo2 9 mrt om 8:29
I'm sure you're aware but yes, seems that npcs will now eject everytime they are inspected.
I don't trade any illegal wares and kept getting the "we found a lockbox" ping, then when I checked there were ~20 green lockboxes outside various stations, my trade station traders had been dropping their whole inventory on inspection :Burn:
Assailer  [auteur] 6 mrt om 6:40
If you are using VRO then that's the reason for right click failures. This mod works fine on vanilla.
Cloud 6 mrt om 4:34
After the "collect loot" command, the ships no longer respond to right-click commands on the map. Everything started working again only after removing the mod.
Mechanical 1 mrt om 16:00
Can confirm NPC player ships are jettisoning stuff.
Noviath 28 feb om 14:40
Hi, first of thanks for the mods, i've been using them for a while now but i too having the problem of jettisoned inventory items from my captains when stopped by the police. Haven't noticed a rep. loss though. I don't have SWI. and been using the same mods for a long time but to be honest i haven't checked if there were any problems before :/
Assailer  [auteur] 20 feb om 13:58
SWI might be the reason. vanilla works nicely.
TheOriginalHero 19 feb om 10:39
I'll second that I am seeing the same thing. Not sure if it is relevant, but I'm in SWI. My NPCs are being asked to drop their contraband and I am getting rep losses.
nyrus88 15 feb om 10:58
Much appreciated! Thank you!
Assailer  [auteur] 15 feb om 3:09
I will check this, but only the release version will get the fix (to avoid breaking current release version)
nyrus88 15 feb om 2:27
Hello! With 7.5 (beta at this point) when my subordinates are intercepted by the police, their undesired** cargo are getting removed.
Galatian 3 feb om 5:45
Has anyone figured out the conflicting mods? It doesn’t seem to work reliably on my traders when I tried to transport water in VIG space.
Assailer  [auteur] 31 dec 2024 om 0:04
I checked and it works for me as long as you are using only my mods.

It is possible that other mods touch the same files before this one and the XML patch fails afterwards. Are you using any other mods?
Krush 30 dec 2024 om 2:59
Same, does not work for me. Police forced to dump cargo several times.
Kurayami Ankoku 30 okt 2024 om 21:38
This doesn't work for me. My economic ships have been stopped twice and had to dump all captain's inventory
KnorKater 12 sep 2024 om 23:16
Can confirm it works in 7.10 - thanks a bunch!
Assailer  [auteur] 3 sep 2024 om 21:17
It does for me.
EtherealKnight 3 sep 2024 om 21:10
Is it still working?
Assailer  [auteur] 13 aug 2024 om 21:06
Alnar: Will check!
Alnar 13 aug 2024 om 11:53
Damn, something stopped working. Just got busted by The Hoard for Food Rations. Never had an issue before... Last patch v7.10 break the mod?
Assailer  [auteur] 1 aug 2024 om 22:59
My ships are full of illegal stuff and never have police trouble.
rudi 1 aug 2024 om 11:22
That sounds awesome!

somewhat related, there's a rare bug where police will get aggressive even though player ships don't have anything illegal. egosoft is still figuring out how to reproduce it, theory is that it's because ships jump through the gate before police scan is done. would you know if this mod helps with that? i assume not since it removes illegal cargo found variable, and not the eligible ship found one, but thought i'd check
Assailer  [auteur] 1 aug 2024 om 3:50
all owned ships, illegal inventory items/cargo.
rudi 31 jul 2024 om 12:31
Yay! To confirm:

this addresses illegal wares, and doesn't cover illegal inventory items?

does this include all player owned ships, or just player piloted?
THE RIDE NEVER ENDS 29 mei 2024 om 6:17
Oh damn i thought cargo was protected by this mod, played 200h before and never had a single instance of illegal cargo found. Either it's stupid luck or i had a mod for that but i fail to find it
THE RIDE NEVER ENDS 29 mei 2024 om 2:31
7.0 got busted by paranid for spaceweed apparently
Assailer  [auteur] 9 apr 2024 om 13:21
Cythal: actually my 'Sector Patrol' mod was broken, but it should be working now.
Assailer  [auteur] 9 apr 2024 om 13:20
Yes, mods will mark your save game. Ventures are disabled anyways these days, so you are OK.
Sanctus Demon 9 apr 2024 om 10:02
hey sorry to ask such a dumb question, but will this, mark my game as modified? im still new to this game, but this mod, would be a life saver, for my particular play through, please let me know! id really like to use it, but i dont want to be cut out from the venture stuff i havent even gotten to try it yet, lol.
Cythal 5 apr 2024 om 9:26
Thank you @Assailer. Much appreciated.
Assailer  [auteur] 4 apr 2024 om 21:26
yes, tested working, all my mods.
Assailer  [auteur] 4 apr 2024 om 21:09
Will see, I will test with new beta asap. And yes, that's the plan that i will update all my mods as necessary.
Cythal 4 apr 2024 om 17:53
This update is recent, are we to assume that it is compatible to 7.0?
Assailer  [auteur] 4 apr 2024 om 9:10
1.12 - updated to create nicer looking log entries
Assailer  [auteur] 24 mrt 2024 om 6:01
Ice is not inventory item, it's cargo. Too large to hide.
Pagsy 24 mrt 2024 om 5:27
Does it work for my other ships too? If not, could that be added. I hate that "ice" is illegal....
Tom 14 mrt 2024 om 9:26
Can't believe this mod exists. Exactly what I've been looking for after installing Loot Magnet, thanks!
Napier 13 nov 2023 om 21:20
Thank you for this, had to install it after I got tired of manually clearing my pilots' inventories when stopped. Would have been ok if this didn't apply to your personal inventory, but this will do well.
