I love the mod, however I'm currently doing an Otomo LP. However their units seem to be have removed as any matchlock unit they have has a blank name, and the faction cannot be used in custom battle at all.
Tl;DR fix compatibility with otomo dlc pls

Hey Alexandros! I want to comment that I am really enjoying your entertained mod. But there seems to be a problem... I think the mod is interfering with the Otomo DLC, where that faction becomes unplayable in custom battles. I know there is this exact issue iwth the 12TPS mod, but the problem seems to continue even after I disinstalled that mod. I tested only with this mod on, and it has the exact same problem. Any thoughts to this? Thanks!

i agree Japanese morale is too low in this total war game. The Japanese fought to the very last man more often than not.

Everything works in my game, but I have a question. Are Katana Kachi unaffected by the reduced recruitment times? Because they still take two turns to recruit.

Alexandros, thanks so much for restoring the blast effect for Parrott rifles. In every forum where I mentioned the problem, all I got was silence or "Who cares?" as responses. I think many people play these games at the highest camera level and don't bother watching the great animations that go on. That would also explain why so few people turn off the giant throbbing ID banners that destroy immersion for me.

Hi! I really enjoy this mod. Thank you for making it. I just have one problem. After I installed your mod, many of my bow units like the bow samurai sound like rifles or cannons when they fire. When I order them to move, they blow a trumpet like they are FotS units, but I'm playing Shogun 2 vanilla! Please let me know if there's anything that can remove this.

Well if its a Realistic Mod than all Katana Units has to be the weakest. . . because its none Sense that Katana units can fight better in close combat against Yari or Naginata units Oo what ?

Thats the same a saying a Machine Pistol is more deadly than a Sniper Rifel in a Wide area (over long range).

the nodachi was a modified chinese anti calvary sword brought back to japan by wako pirates it was origianly called the changdo it was a straight blade that started at the hilt tapering off to a point it was used with both hands so the wielder could en masse stop or deter a cavalry charge

the only request i'd have >.< is to banish purple !..also is it possible to make other factions (aside from the main) playable? ideally some of the mods in the expanded mod pack? (also is this mod compaitable with the expanded mod pack? ) because there are some factions in it i'd like to play even if they have no actual bonus like the 'great' clans do.

also is this compitable for multiplayer - i often play Campaign mode with my friend using the same mods though some mods seem to have multiplayer issues.

umm no-dachi where cavalry weapons allowing a samurai to cleave on horseback, very rarely were they used on foot due to there overzealous size and chances are verytime you would launch an attack you would take three of your comrades with you unless you were ski'ing your way to victory, so make no-dachi cavalry that have an ability to spread out in 2 long lines and rush through infantry simillar to a cvalry charge but more of a full frontal assault technique.

And you can cut a horses head off with a katana just easier to cut legs.

Is it possible to modify the visuals of the samurai units (kachis) in the FOTS to don a more stylish old-looking samurai armors (like the one they wear in Sengoku Jidai period)? The current armor looks very bland (with the exception of maybe the Samurai heroes, but that is late game units and a cavalry units).

I saw your screenshot of the Unit variance mod, but I dont know which era it will affect. I saw one of the screenshot from the collection, however it shows Chosokabe samurais fighting Aizu units? I just want a great looking samurai armor for my Shogunate units.

oda bow ash sound pack is gunfire. They shoot their bows and it sounds like cannons going off.

double-galby....I released this mod in separated pieces in my collections so you can choose the options you like separately.....also sorry everyone as I have been getting busier and busier it has been hard to respond to everyone's questions and comments. Just know that some of the bigger things such as the animation changes I have found possible, but currently take too much time to implement. I have a few algorithms for motion capture I drew up in the meanwhile that I decided should be copyrighted before being implemented on a mod for a game, so this in addition to my work has taken much of my time. I am sorry guys, and once again to everyone that hate certain aspects, I do have all the pieces of the mod separated in the Historical Accuracy Collection for your choosing...thanks!

I want an animation with some of the samurai cutting open their stomach when their leader dies in battle and I would like to see some samurai having unbreakable morale at least units of samurai more tied to their daimyou!

Just a note that the "Upstart General" effect is not applied to the general you promoted, but to the other generals you already have. It's sort of a "why did you make this filthy peasant a general when you already have me?" penalty.

I like the mod but to repeat somethings Student of Strategy said but add my own two cents, here are some suggestions. 1. Make morale higher, I'm tired of seeing units of samurai of 160 men fleeing the field with 130 men still alive. 2. Speed up the run speed a tad, it's very irratating to send your men to take a castle and they jog the whole way, eventually routing right before they reach the wall. 3. I noticed that alot of feudal samurai had a symbol painted on their chest, I don'y know if only specific people or clans had them but you see it on the warrior monk's chest in the intro, I think it'd be really cool if those were on some samurai's chests.

Hello everyone! I am releasing separate pieces of this mod and more part by part in the Hisotrical Accuracy Collection. I am still working on changed and will release another unit stats version with a unit cap for all samurai classed units, and loan sword ashigaru. one last thing, movement in battles feels..... too fast/arcadey, the walking speed of units appears and feels much faster than they actually would in real life. unit morale seems to drain alot quicker than it should as well, not exactly matching the bushido mindset of fuedal japan.
sorry for all the suggestions, i hope im not sounding rude or demanding in any way. i'm aware modding can be quite a monumentous task and is hard to do considering how busy life can get.

on note of katana units, while they aren't exactly quite historical, instead of removing them entirely you could put a unit cap on them, with the shimazu having a higher unit cap as katana samurai are their specialty

probably not.... both mods change unit stats and would either A: conflict with eachother and cause a crash (most likely) or B: whatever mod the game loaded last would overwrite the other's effects, most likely leading to strange glitches and extremely unbalanced gameplay (not likely)
so..... no they're not compatible with eachother unfortunately.... i'd love to see campaign realism added to darth mod, as that mod's unit battle movement speeds and fatigue factors feel the most realistic compared to other realism mods, although actual unit stats and prices in darthmod could use some tweaking for more realism.
watching this mod for the time being, it looks like it could be quite good
