might be under the menu of nature assets like boulders
Robert  [skapare] 9 jan, 2024 @ 16:32
Hi, sorry, I don't remember and I have uninstalled the game. Use the mod "Find It" and search for allen or lewis.
chrbordeaux 6 jan, 2024 @ 15:21
Can't find it in the game... Under which category can it be found?
Robert  [skapare] 7 jul, 2021 @ 16:44
assetS plural? I don't want to be making nothing but fountains, and I also have limited experience with statues and abstract geometry, but message me what you're after, I'll think about it.

Hey would you make custom animated fountain assets for me for a commission?
DadoWolf 14 apr, 2020 @ 14:07
the best one. Thx.
huangism 11 apr, 2020 @ 18:16
nice no dlc required, great stuff
AmiPolizeiFunk 27 jun, 2019 @ 8:46
quite a nice fountain, thank you.
Robert  [skapare] 24 jun, 2019 @ 21:42
I used OBS to record a few minutes of gameplay, then converted the file and edited it.
steve miron 24 jun, 2019 @ 20:21
how you make to master a video when you create an objects and you share on workshop

Thank you so much for this amazing asset, I hope someone animates and recreates the Bunshaft fountain in DC along with the large office building it's named after
Shredder 10 jun, 2019 @ 8:55
Strangely hypnotizing.
Robert  [skapare] 2 maj, 2019 @ 5:01
How did no one correct me that this is the Allen Lewis Fountain.. I recreated the plaque and still got it backwards! holy cow am I dumb. I'll get around to fixing the image.
Robert  [skapare] 8 mar, 2019 @ 14:07
Yep. It is in the landscaping and decoration menu. I recommend using the mod Find It, also. Then you just need to search for "Lewis Allen"
moku 8 mar, 2019 @ 13:46
how do i add this fountain into the game ?
moku 8 mar, 2019 @ 13:39
guess that the plaque is a part of the picture and we can't.
Robert  [skapare] 8 mar, 2019 @ 13:16
Nope!
moku 8 mar, 2019 @ 13:13
can we customize the words in that plaque ?
moku 8 mar, 2019 @ 13:12
awesome !

Finally, you could utilise any of the particle effects in-game - there's steam, smoke, pool steam (bluish hue), etc. I'm keen to use the sand falling prop effect someday, I think it could be convincing as water rushing. Some of these effects are only available to props rather than buildings, so you would need to create and publish part of your fountain (perhaps one of the submeshes as a prop separately and then place that on your fountain building (props can't have submeshes, which is why this is a "building").

Hope this gives people some ideas for making fountains ^_^
Robert  [skapare] 8 mar, 2019 @ 12:12
You could add similar planes to the animated submeshes and paint in several frames of spray dots. This would not have any transparency effect, like the water jets you see here the alpha can only be there or not there. Mist is also much slower than water so it would need to run on a separate mesh at a higher frame frate and need more frames to look natural (the water animation here uses just 8 frames, in a 1024x1024 texture, you can do some math about how big a texture you would need for this to look acceptable)
Robert  [skapare] 8 mar, 2019 @ 12:12
You could add a number of flat, upright planes to the rotors (glass) submesh, and mix a spraycan type brush with alpha to make a kind of mist cloud. Alpha on the glass submesh can be graded, unlike most shaders in the game. This would not be animated.
Robert  [skapare] 8 mar, 2019 @ 12:12
The fountain itself just has jets pointed inwards like this. However the confluence of jets does produce a mist in the right conditions irl.

There are a couple of ways this could be achieved in-game, each with its own pros and cons. I opted to leave it as you see it, as it's quite a subdued fountain overall (given its proximity to vehicles), but for the benefit of any budding asset creators:
sterne19 8 mar, 2019 @ 7:55
was expecting a little more waterspray up in the air or something
Perhaps the game limitations prevents this
Robert  [skapare] 7 mar, 2019 @ 19:37
From a distance it does look a bit like a big pink granite turbine
ROFLpl0x 7 mar, 2019 @ 18:19
Yeah, I know, and it's a cool model but it does look disturbingly similar to the hair catcher we have in the tub. When I first saw it I thought it must be some kind of flood control drain for the Natural Disasters mod.
Charlie.Decker 7 mar, 2019 @ 17:50
ur a fucking saint
ROFLpl0x 7 mar, 2019 @ 17:32
Is it supposed to look like the hair catcher in my tub drain?
Robert  [skapare] 7 mar, 2019 @ 0:20
I live in Sydney, I don't know what to tell you. :P
GroovyGoat 7 mar, 2019 @ 0:12
Very nice but minus points for not Melbourne :/
Robert  [skapare] 6 mar, 2019 @ 20:19
Nice, thanks!
boformer 6 mar, 2019 @ 18:05
yes exactly! changing the category doesn't change the behavior.

I think the easiest way to change the category is this mod: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=458396767

Just save your asset after you changed the category (same file and asset name!), then update the workshop item.
Robert  [skapare] 6 mar, 2019 @ 17:00
Thanks (and thanks for all the stuff you do!) I'd love to know how, I thought it was just down to what existing asset you patterned it off. Does changing the category alter what menu it shows up in?
boformer 6 mar, 2019 @ 16:55
What a nice fountain!

If you want to change the category, I can show you how...
Robert  [skapare] 5 mar, 2019 @ 1:18
No problem, thank you!
Claudius Aetius 4 mar, 2019 @ 14:04
Thank you very much. Sorry my lack of attention to the description. Amazing job! :)
Robert  [skapare] 4 mar, 2019 @ 12:15
As I said in the description, it is neither of those things, it is patterned on a boulder object which you should be able to add to your game in the landscaping/decorations menu. Either way, I recommend using the mod "Find It" and typing "Lewis Allen"
Claudius Aetius 4 mar, 2019 @ 11:09
Can't find in Parks ou Unique Building. In my Content Manager is registered only as "Building".
Skibitth.YT 2 mar, 2019 @ 23:15
looks very good! Thanks for sharing!
Robert  [skapare] 2 mar, 2019 @ 22:54
Yes it's possible, and I would love to! Emphasis on "the future", though :P
Fawne 2 mar, 2019 @ 22:38
Is it possible to do the 3 Barangaroo "International Towers" in the future?
Robert  [skapare] 2 mar, 2019 @ 15:02
As I said in the description it's patterned after the boulder decoration, you'll find it in the landscaping menu (the hill with the shovel in it) or typing "Lewis Allen" into Find It. It will not grow on its own and must be plopped.
swannbunny 2 mar, 2019 @ 14:54
zoning vs. plopping
mikettl 2 mar, 2019 @ 7:33
a beautiful piece of work, many thanks for your effort!
Hafiz 2 mar, 2019 @ 5:59
nice
Mntoes 2 mar, 2019 @ 2:29
Great work, thanks!

Looks amazing. Thanks for taking the time to make it!
