I'm a little sad you decided to make Kul'Tiras a city state rather then an actual Civilization. Love your mods anyway.
THATS THAT ME PROSECCO 22 Nov, 2014 @ 3:16pm
what about therimore

I don't mean to sound pushy at all, as I understand these mods must require a great deal of time and effort to make, but I remember a few months ago you mentioned a Dalaran civ using mechanics similar to Venice is in the works, or at least planned for the future; I was just wondering what the news is on that, as I am looking forward to it a lot :)

Just dropping that it works now. I don't know if it is possible, but the mod without the dependance on the client-language would be a big convenience. Anyway, thanks for the great work. :)
saVan 17 Sep, 2013 @ 2:52pm
I might have found the problem. In the .xml document for the civilizations you coded everything under <language_en_US>. Me, using the german client, forbids this probably using the names. I already tried changing it to <language_de> and some variations, but without success. I don't know what phrase is needed for other language packs. Loading the english language files right now and will test, if this solves the problem.

Yes it is (and it is checked so it should be active^^)

saVan: Is the mod showing up in your mods list?
saVan 10 Sep, 2013 @ 11:48am
Now that I've tried out your mod in some games I have to say, it's a great piece of work! And I look forward for future updates. However I cannot get the city states mod working. It's not exactly a dealbreaker meeting shanghai on Kalimdor, but it just doesn't work. I installed and use all of your warcraft mods, and only them. I tried re-installing the mod and deleting the mod cache. Still, no warcraft city states in sight. Any suggestions what's wrong?

BTW I've been watching this mod series for a while, and I think it sounds awesome. I'm just waiting for the Blood Elves before I download.
Chroniqler 16 Aug, 2013 @ 11:11am
I think that if you wanted to make a Venice-style civ in G&K (which I use), you could replace the settler with a different unit that can't make cities, or maybe make it so that they can only expand borders.
Smedly 14 Aug, 2013 @ 9:58am
Speaking of Deadmines, have you changed all the Barbarians to look like Gnolls and Defias Members? :D
Bamington  [author] 13 Aug, 2013 @ 10:54pm
Dreadzilla: Glad to hear it mate!
Dreadzilla 13 Aug, 2013 @ 6:37pm
Thanks for all your warcraft Mods, I really enjoy them.
Bamington  [author] 13 Aug, 2013 @ 2:38pm
Meek: Try unsubscribing in Steam, then going into the Civilization 5 game and subscribing from the 'Get Mods' menu.
Horakhti 13 Aug, 2013 @ 2:31pm
i can't see this mod, like another mod, but clear the cache worked for other, not for this :-/

For the Gnomes you could make the capital Gnomeregan, and then name the next few cities after smaller zones within Gnomeregan, like the Hall of Gears and Tinker's Court. You could also use Tinkertown and other smaller settlements
Bamington  [author] 12 Aug, 2013 @ 2:29pm
Tigerboy61, SatanicKettle: That's something we looked at doing for the Gnomes and a few other races early on. The problem is to execute the Venice-style game you really need to use Brave New World features, and I've worked really hard to keep everything Gods and Kings compatible. The other reason we wont do it is because the Gnomes actually do have a fair few settlements and towns spread throughout the world, so it's just slightly innacurate to only give them Gnomeregan.

You will almost definately see a Venice-style Civ for Dalaran and Theramore, however. We think it fits them perfectly.
Nils Olav 12 Aug, 2013 @ 1:14pm
Although I think Gnomeregan could remain the capital
Nils Olav 12 Aug, 2013 @ 1:13pm
I agree with Tigerboy61, it's a great idea I think :)
tigerboy61 12 Aug, 2013 @ 11:55am
For the gnomes, could you make them like venice only instead their city would be New Tinkertown? Also with that, could you make it so they buy other towns with great scientists (like the merchant of Venice) since the gnomes are tech based.
Bamington  [author] 11 Aug, 2013 @ 12:24am
ShamanMcLamie: I'd recommend asking on the CivFanatics.com forums, they'd probably know of something :)
ShamanMcLamie 10 Aug, 2013 @ 10:53pm
Not sure if someone could help me, but does anyone know of a mod that restores some city states. Like has Seoul, Copenhagen, Jakarta, Warsaw, as city states. Trying tot make a scenario and it would help if I could have these city states.
Bamington  [author] 10 Aug, 2013 @ 2:01am
It is most certainly Booty Bay. It's a pirate town, so Booty = Treasure.
Ram Man 10 Aug, 2013 @ 1:51am
im not a wow specialist, but is that town realy called Booty Bay? Thought it was Bounty Bay?
MilkmansMilkman 9 Aug, 2013 @ 6:38pm
Ah, awesome. I Freaking love the Vrykul.
Bamington  [author] 9 Aug, 2013 @ 4:59pm
Neckbeard Knight: We do want to do Gnomes, but we're not sure how we're going to do them yet since, as you said, they have very few cities and settlements.
GARBAGE FREAK 99 9 Aug, 2013 @ 4:24pm
You planning on making a gnomish civ? If not, Gnomeragan would be perfect for this since I think the gnomes only had one city (too bad there isn't a scientific city state category).
Bamington  [author] 9 Aug, 2013 @ 3:30pm
Inquisitor Milkman: It's on the list!
MilkmansMilkman 9 Aug, 2013 @ 2:10pm
You can't see it, but I am on my knees, begging you. Vrykul Civilization
[Sir/Warrior/Ghost] 9 Aug, 2013 @ 6:41am
Ок, если будет время то обязательно вам помогу.
Bamington  [author] 9 Aug, 2013 @ 6:05am
SirWarriorGhost: Если вы хотите сделать перевод и отправить его ко мне, я был бы счастлив поставить, что в моде. У меня нет времени, чтобы положить весь текст в нашем Google Translate для вас. Извините.
[Sir/Warrior/Ghost] 9 Aug, 2013 @ 5:50am
http://translate.google.ru/ . You have a very Shoroshim and interesting content, but some of the things I can not understand it, try Google translator At least, though even so it will be.
Bamington  [author] 9 Aug, 2013 @ 2:21am
Calorie Man: If someone is missing, it probably means they're close to being a full-blown Civ... ;)
Calorieman 9 Aug, 2013 @ 12:46am
No Theramore?
King Kek 8 Aug, 2013 @ 10:19pm

Can you list the names of all of them in the mod desc?
Bamington  [author] 8 Aug, 2013 @ 4:09am
SirWarrioGhost: Я не говорю на русском, жаль. Если вы знаете кого-то, кто может перевести, пожалуйста, дайте мне знать.

Hati 6 Aug, 2013 @ 5:31pm
sad dat lorderon is dead now. Twas a cool place till the scorge went and corrupted arthas
Bamington  [author] 6 Aug, 2013 @ 2:54pm
Meek, you probably need to clear your cache. It's a common error with Civ 5. Go to My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Cache and delete Civ5ModsDatabase
Horakhti 6 Aug, 2013 @ 2:20pm
i can't see this mod in selection list :(
Desseus 6 Aug, 2013 @ 9:58am
Haha sorry :P
Bamington  [author] 6 Aug, 2013 @ 8:02am
Desseus: This is why the lore guys don't let me answer these questions!
Makem 6 Aug, 2013 @ 7:55am
impressive Desseus
Desseus 6 Aug, 2013 @ 7:17am
Bamington that is not entirely accurate, the kingdom of Stormwind already existed and was not formed after the third war by survivors of Lordaeron, the kingdom of stormwind existed back before the first war when it was besieged and pillaged by the invading orcs who were piling through the dark portal, it was later rebuilt and repopulated with help from other human kingdoms (Lordaeron, Gilneas, Dalaran, Stromgarde) after the second war. I know this reads as quite nerdy but xD
Bamington  [author] 5 Aug, 2013 @ 11:30pm
Derpy Toaster: Stormwind and Lordaeron are two different factions. Lordaeron ceased to exist as a singular empire after the Third War, as it's territory is not devided between the Scourge, the Forsaken, the Scarlet Crusade and the Argent Dawn. The survivors of Lordaeron retreated south and formed the Kingdom of Stormwind.
