How can we increase the number the easy way? For example, if I want to make 1024

rename the modded files from

proto2.5.xml to proto2.8.xml
and
techtree2.5.xml to techtree2.8.xml

this allows the mod to work, but the downside is that you are using an old tech tree instead of whatever is updated in the newer ones. Did not test Chinese techs.

If you do this make sure to only edit the ones in the mod folder

Ive been trying to use both of your mods for solo ai games and campign both the 256 and 158 but nether work.

yeah, that's because this is modifying techtree2.5.xml, so when the game loads the assets, it'll use the techtree2.7.xml from the game's files instead, since it's a later version. Nothing I can do about this except for remake the mod for 2.7, and since I don't play this game much anymore...

I created a quick program in C# to do it, but I have to input the names of each of the upgrades I want to be able to be researched

Hum... interesting but kinda unbalanced:
- Villagers carry capacity goes far too high to get usefull
- Scandinavians gets infinite ranged axe-thrower (same for every ranged siege unit)
- Some near-infinite regenerating units (atlantean myth).

One question: what takes you 2 hours to do the mod?

I could probably get New Kingdom to work, but it would take a couple hours to get working.

Fair enough, shame you couldn't make New Kingdom work but with the weird things it tends to do I'm not surprised.

nope, not gonna do it, it takes like 2 hours every time I want to make one of these, and with the method I use, it would take you even longer to change it.

128 is pretty nuts, any chance for a version that only adds 2 or 3 extras? Or maybe a pointer on how to adjust it on my end?
