Report a translation problem
My only issue is if I swap the sides to play Axis, it's not even related to anything the map creator did or could do anything to change. The AI blocks the bridges. By the end of the island hopping I can't get reinforcements up and the AI is completely strung out on the previous islands driving back and forth. (Insert joke about overcomplicated German logistics) Turns into a multi hour bridge management exercise, blowing up friendlies to get them to move and fighting the pathfinding to actually get my own units to move. Meanwhile I'm desperately holding onto a foothold with infantry until I'm finally overrun and driven back because I'm 1v4ing the enemy AI and have to regroup my units and retake the island with 5 pantherturms. This isn't a problem if I play Allies because I can work my way up the southern peninsula and pressure the enemy from two sides.

I think maybe you're very into the 'lore' of this game, more than the mechanics.
It doesn't actually matter that the enemy have Allied machine gun nests. They still fire on the opposition troops. I chose them for their wider arc of fire.
By the same logic, the flak 88s are also on the wrong faction if you play as germans.
It doesn't actually matter. The point is to have the enemy bunkered in to make it slightly more challenging for human players against cpu.
The weapons support centres do work, if you capture the connecting territories. That gives you a '2nd base' to fight on the 2nd front. WSCs are essentially 'unpowered' until you capture the territory.
Often when you have 4 players on a bridge map, it gets a little dull, so having an alternate attack option creates more versatility to the map.
Also not sure what the point of the weapons support centres on the lower island are for, as they are not connected by territory, and are american structures, although they are owned by the attacking force (even when you play as the germans). Bit confusing as to how this should be set up. Perhaps you can clarify?

Kept my guys on that right side island alive by laying down MGNs. Once strong enough to get over that RIGHT SIDE bridge, I'd surgically pick off everyone on the right all the way up to the entrance to #8. Set up a defensive line then airborne onto the plot of land next to #5. Lock that down. Then airborne into the 2nd island from #1. And begin cutting off the enemy on a 3 front war. Took 2 1/2 days & 4 tries to beat becuz I like to play on the defense for a long time before mowing down the opposition.

All good! Pop cap makes sense as the more units that are in game, the more strain on the system. By the one hour mark you probs have heaps!

I'm using EaW with no popcap. Now that I'm thinking about it, it's probably (obviously) the popcap thing lol.
