Can you make another version of this (replace this one). It would have both a large grid and a small grid variant. Small grid is this unit as it is now. Large grid will increase the size of the base slightly and have a large grid conveyor port instead of small.

If you do do it for large grid, maybe you could make it more like an AA gun where it has 2 guns in 1 turret, although I'm not aware if this is possible, then you could double the rate of fire and the parts needed to build it.
Then it wouldn't look so dumb with a conveyor port on the bottom.

Your concerns for it being overpowered are unfounded because otherwise there would be dozens of ships spamming the interior turrets on the workshop.

The rounds are smaller and cause less damage. It also has a lower rate of fire.

I just don't like having to go around to every one of them to reload them.

I only use the interior turret for anti-personnel and anti-missile.
The gatling turret I use for meteors, small ships, (some) large ships, and stations.
Missile turrets I use for most large ships, stations, and the more dangerous small ships.

I can do it, but i'll release it in another mod because I think it will be kinda overpowered. The large grid version is only 1x block, so you could fit 9 of them instead of a single gatling turret

Now we just need one made for large grid with conveyor port.
