Pure vanilla and no other mods still stuck at 50m and I tried all the notes in this thread.

WARNING, mod conflict: This mod does *NOT* work with "Animated Ore Detectors" installed (as was pointed out in a comment by EloiHunter95, below).

Not pointing any fingers, but a lot of comments for mods - and not just for Space Engineers - involves bug reports and claims of "does not work", yet many do not include a game log or any details for the mod author to try to figure out what happened and resolve it.

And many players seem to not realize that mods very often conflict with each other (are incompatible), preventing one or even several mods from working as intended. I've seen many mod authors remind players to try their mod by itself - without any other mods installed - to see if their problem still persists.

Small Ore detector is at 150m for me, and large at 350, something is up here.

If not working, try pressing H a few times to cycle through the display modes of GPS markers. This also affects the display of ore deposits and made me think that the mod was not working.

On my server Nitrado work correctly. But you must instal mod manually via FTP files. Not trough steam mod ID in Nitrado settings :)

@Firefly you could use the “Configurable Parameters” mod which does what your ask for and more ( adjust/edit speed, Lighting damage settings….) all in all it can replace quite a few mod.

Update!, I found a work around put the ore detectors to 100m range and turn off block and I also shut off share by antennas. The server didn’t crash or lag and can be removed normally.

Guys you may be doing this backwards.

The mod at the top of your mods list is loaded first.
The mod at the bottom is loaded last.

any mod above will be overwritten by the mod below it, if they both write to the same file/block/etc.

so if you put this above AQD then AQD will overwite it if it changes the reflector blocks or lighting blocks.

I have this at the bottom not the top, and it works fine.

@Peresvet. :steamsad:It's looking like the new DLC update/patch has broken this as I'm only getting the 350m from the AQD and this is first in the load order. Have checked on new and existing worlds still no joy

Load order generally matters, if you put this mod before AQD it will probably override the AQD changes

I could be wrong but I just tested it myself and it appears to work fine. Mind you this was with just that mod but perhaps you have a mod conflict?

So it seems all ore detector mods are broken. all i can get out of any of them is small 150, large 350. seems keen did a update and broke them.

I have been using urs for a couple years would love an update so it works again!!!!

Could it be the antenna since you need it to broadcast, or a visual lag if you have a lot of “stuff” already in the world..but all in all happy it’s working now for you.

Just added the mod and it doesn't work for me, no clue why. I got the default 350 range on the large OD. Tried rebuilding it, reinstalling the mod, restarting, and its a no go . Any ideas what I could try?

I hope you dont mind, I increased the range to 2500-5000 and re uploaded it its a fantastic mod. Its just I like to play my way and by modifying your great mod it is allowing me to go beyond my 1600 hours of game play enjoyment. I hope your not upset with me.

oh nvm found out it dose not use power i was apperently thinking of antenna range/power... unleas you want to make something similar that draw some power?

like vanilla game wen you increas ore detector range the more power it pasivly draws from the grid. was refering to an exponential curve for power right now 250M still cost 2kw and att 50M it still costs 2kw.

my sugested power scale could look like 10M/1kw 20M/2.5kw 30M/4kw or something like that so you have a reason/ballance for that range you get.

DJFrost this happens to me on our server especially if i am on a planet.. i think it's the way Keen scans Voxels by the ore detector, the larger the range the worse your performance gets.. but again this is a tribute to how their game engine wasn't designed.
